  1. Nelson Cruz needs to be in Nashville. He is destroying the Southern League.
  2. Jenkins manages to get two Ks in early this game!
  3. Butch should have been fired a while ago. I think he will be shortly, if things continue as they have.
  4. What a ridiculous call. I could tell he was safe in real time from whatever angle the camera gave us. Someone needs to tell the ump that the ball getting there before the runner does not automatically assume the tag gets the runner. He was looking RIGHT at the play, too.
  5. Obviously, no one has the right to tell Toby who should place where on his Power 50 list. However, I think he is criminally underrating Braun as a prospect based on objective data and resources more familiar with the player than himself. And he will have to (and does, I think) accept that if his opinion proves to be wrong in this case that it will hurt the credibility of his opinions in the future.
  6. The time to trade Turnbow is nigh.
  7. Note to Daron: It wasn't the youngsters going through 'growing pains' that lost us this game. It was Davis's pitching and the lack of production from several veterans of the team, most notably Jenkins.
  8. don, I think by now you have really exhausted the emoticons. I'm not trying to be mean, but give it a break man.
  9. Is it just me or would Cano have easily caught that ball that Jeter ultimately went for on the highlight reel that they frequently show? Also, Wynegar needs to be fired, if only to stir things up a bit. I'm not blaming him necessarily, but rather the status quo.
  10. I think Wise should be given a chance at the fifth spot.
  11. Why isn't Wise in the starting rotation?
  12. Hart has really been playing well as of late. Weeks with his usual stellar play. Fielder almost always manages to draw a walk or two, even if he isn't feeling it at the plate.
  13. What a ridiculously unfunny skit by Schroeder. The badness of it actually made me feel sorry for him.
  14. He won't break camp with the big league club. He still has plenty to work on, and Spivey is a capable placeholder.
  15. I know it's stating the obvious, but Capuano could be poised for a breakout season if he stays healthy. Oh, and lowers his HR rate.
  16. It's possible he's made progress, but you also have to take into account that he's facing a relatively weak lineup. It's too early to be saying "I told you so."
  17. I still think it's too early to write Hendrickson off, but he obviously hasn't been able to transcend the AAA to MLB barrier.
  18. Ginter and Jenkins are approaching the .800 OPS plateau. One big positive is that Jenkins has been playing better the past few months. Hopefully that continues next season.
  19. Wes Helms needs to be ridded of.
  20. At least we can look forward to a (potentially) very solid pitching staff next year, especially if Hendrickson solidifies the #5 role. That's ssuming Santos will put up similar numbers and Capuano can come back strong. And that Obermueller will not be given the chance to start.
  21. What college do you attend? I think we will win this game by the way.
  22. Jenkins is approaching the .800 OPS mark.
