The only addition I see is the left handed reliever. As for the balance of the team, I am very satisfied with the roster and we have adequate alternatives in the minors. Lastly, I would be very upset if the Brewers decide to trade Jenkins after all he has been through with this team. just my spin.

I agree. It is not there $$$$$. It is always easy to spend money that is not your own. Would I have wanted a more proven pitcher. SURE. But I have to trust that Doug and staff know what they are doing. I am futher more grateful as all get out that we are competitive and lastly in first place.

The funny part about discussing the Suppan free agent signing is, numerous posters were crying about how the Brewers wern't doing anything in regard to making the team better. I for one was one of them. Is signing Suppan what I ws looking for? I knew we weren't going after Zito. I was just happy that the front office was looking at improving the team and signing Suppan is an improvement. What is not discussed that much is, behind the scene's, Suppan is educating our young guys with what it take's to be a major league pitcher/player. Coaches can state the same thing, I know. But he breathe's it and demonstrates it daily. It may be best to come to a conclussion of his signing at the end of the year. Right now, we are in first place and I am thrilled!

Loyalty is a foreign word in corporate America. I am 52 years old and worked for the same company for 25+ years. When the new organization came in 5 years ago, they assure all of the management team that we were the foundation to make this company grow and greatness. It turns out that the only LOYALTY that the owner had was to his own bank account and out of the 15 members of that management team, only 4 remain 5 years later. And those 4 are butt smoochers. ALso, when I would mention to aquaintances that I worked for the same company for 25+ years, they looked at me like I was insane. Times have changed. No one stays in the same house or job for very long. The term COMPANY MAN is a dinosaur. My suggestion is do what is best for yourself because sooner than later, you may no thave that opportunity again. Also, if it sounds as if I am a grumpy/angry previous employee. You are wrong. When they suggested that I find another job ( I was one of many wage cuts ). I gladly agreed and chose happiness. I make 15% less and I really don't care. Just my take.....

I too would be interested and thank you for this opportunity.

The only saving grace is the balance of the division is equally as sorry. I agree that we are at the " rock bottom " and Yost is going to have to pick a steady lineup and run with it.

Ok, My turn to vent..... Sunday morning is coffee and a newspaper. But when the Brewers loose like they did last night, I just don't want to read the paper. I realize that you can't win them all, but it just seems like the Brewers are lacking SOMETHING. We are no longer the media darlings and our play is mediocre. I would like to think that a trade would be in order. But what do you trade for. Hall just signed a huge contract and he is barely hitting his weight. Jenks/Mench are streaky. I could go on but I would be just rambling. Lastly, I am in for the long hawl. Yost, start throwing crap in the locker room or something...get pissed!!!! your team is starting to lack something and it is your job to get them going, before you become the problem. I obviously did not sleep well, as I could have wrote better. For God sake: GO BREWERS

Braunsboyfriend, I can only hope that you are not married or that you do not have a daughter. Paris Hilton is America at it's very worst. Hungry people/Aids infected countries/global warming.....and we consider Paris newsworthy.

The bottom line for me is 2 things: First off the media has made this woman out to be some sort of idol to the young women of America. True, these young women have a choice, but not when it is shoved down there throats via every media available. second, How shallow the world must think of the USA when we idolize the the rich, insensitive and the spoiled rotten childeren. OK, one more thing....A 26 year old woman yelling MOMMY in the courthouse I can only hope will be her legacy. At least Patty Hurst picked up a gun and stood for something. Yup, I am grateful she is in jail and I hope the media will look at the real issues in this country and not the brats.

The DH should be in effect for the series. Maybe give Prince a day off a first base.

If your name is Chad, your Retro Bobble is boxed and will be shipped Priority Mail on Monday and you should have your bobble in hand on Tuesday. Thank you.
  13. Bert55
Actually, I bought them on e-bay over Memorial weekend. My intentions were to receive as many Fielder bobbles as possible and , yes, profit from them. I have done this numerous times in the past. As has many other members of BF. But let me add that I went to the game and stayed to the very end. My son's friends went to the game FREE and all I asked for was the gameday ticket and the bobbles. Was every seat filled with my son's friends? No. But 13 of his friends enjoyed a very good game. As did I and my wife in right field.
  14. Bert55
Just thought that I would add that I have 32 tickets in hand. And, would be willing to listen to offers for Fielder bobbles.. I have sold 8 so far on e-bay and don't wish to pay for all the extra $$$$ that come about when using that service. Live in the Madison area and am willing to drop off or meet.
  15. Bert55
Will have extra's after the game..... looking for $25.00 + shipping. If anyone is interested, leave me a e-mail in my inbox. white jersey.

When your winning it is tough to make a trade that would greatly effect your outfield rotation. But after watching the Tony Gwynn Jr play, I would not have a hard time letting him play more. Yes I know, we would have 3 left handed outfielders. But Gwynn is exciting and, well, Mench is not. Jenks should play full time anyway. He deserves that with his hustle and that fact that he is a lifetime Brewer. ANd that means something to me. Brewers lack speed on the base paths and TGJ is a speed burner. Plays a great defence. Also, you have Nix in the wings.

Today's prediction: Brewers 7 Pirates 1 Jenks goes yard. Sheets pitches 7 innings. Strikes out 6 Good time was had by all. Go Brewers
