  1. Dear Chris, The pitcher was trying to bunt. Let him bunt. Furthermore, do not walk him while he is trying to give you an out. Thank you.
  2. Maybe instead of turf, they should just go with concrete. And have little protruding spikes placed sporadically throughout the field to keep it interesting.
  3. A day game against a team no one cared about the night before... I'll be impressed if they draw any more than last night.
  4. JJ hasn't struck out. JJ is hitting .143. For all you strike-out haters, there you go.
  5. A Cubs-Brewers game that only lasts 9 innings is somehow unsatisfying.
  6. So how many In-N-Out burgers is that? I deal in White Castles.
  7. Wise's legs look a bit thicker than they did, and overall he doesn't look quite so frail. Just by glancing, I'd guess he put on about 10-15 pounds.
  8. DHonks, I would probably have run Branyan, too. It's just that's its... Russ Branyan. A SB and a sac bunt in the same week?
  9. If Spivey would have lead with his right arm and not his left, he would have been safe. He was out on the left arm about a foot from the bag.
  10. Billy Hall, master of the rally kill. He's now 0 for 2 and has hit into double plays in both his ABs. Nice. Santos has a vicious swing.
  11. .J has shown such great plate discipline (has he even struck out yet) Nope, 4 walks and 0 K's. He's on pace for 162 walks, no strikeouts, and 41 doubles. How sweet would that be? Dang sweet. Part of the rationale for playing Hall other than giving him playing time might be that he is more likely to get ahold of a ball and jack it out of the park than Hardy. Maddux has been giving up more home runs as of late, so it might not hurt to take a gamble on Hall hitting the ball a long way.
  12. Why should the Brewers start Helms on the off chance that he jacks one out down the left field line? Branyan has a better shot at being more productive in any wind condition.
  13. I'll switch back to Huntsville after the 9th inning of the WV game.
  14. I hope Capellan gets that blister taken care of right now, and misses as many starts as needed to get rid of it. Pitchers tend to lose more and more time with those things because they never get the problem behind them.
  15. I'll be checking out the Stars game for awhile tonight. The "new" Sarfate has to convince me he's actually a pitcher and not a thrower.
  16. Castro has been with the Brewers for so long through thin and thinner that I don't know why he won't be around for the forseeable future. He has to have one of the worst records during a bullpen coach tenure, but we've almost always had decent bullpens. He really is an asset to the team.
  17. I really like Clark's and Hardy's approaches at the plate. Just having those two guys play every day will cut down on K's a bunch (for whatever that's worth).
  18. Sign Bill Castro to an extension!!! Even though he hasn't been with the team for a few days?
  19. Yah! The guys look genuinely happy out there. Nice to see.
  20. Mike Adams is looking around, and is impressed.
  21. Baker's hook is so slow, it isn't even a hook, it's more of a pick.
