  1. Geno does have a point. If Clark gets hurt, it'll be Krynzel, not Magruder. And far be it from me to question Yost's coaching prowess.
  2. The game turned into a blowout, why not put in the 4th OF? OK, so... a)Why not put Hall in to play CF, to get some real experience out there (if that is still their intention) or, b)Replace Carlos Lee instead? He's 10 times more valuable than Clark.
  3. i hope Toby is ridiculously cranky after every Brewer game....its good luck. I'm just entertaining myself as a distraction from studying. I mean, there's no way in the world that I could study for 3 hours straight. I could pull a brain muscle in those last 40 minutes. Who knows? Seriously. Gee whiz.
  4. Clark isn't well enough to play in a 10-2 blowout when there are other guys who you can get in the game. Like Bill Hall?
  5. And if Clark aggrivates his injury, or its found to be worse than orignially thought, Magruder's going to get a lot more playing time. Then Clark shouldn't have been playing at all today. And an additional injury to Clark would cost the Brewers a lot of runs Then Clark shouldn't have been playing at all today.
  6. And if you're so worried about getting Clark that much-needed 40 minutes of rest, why not put Hall in instead? If 7 run leads never dissappear, you might as well get Billy some time in the outfield.
  7. I would have just pinch-hit for the pitcher and left it at that. Clark anywhere in the lineup is better than Magruder anywhere in the lineup (or in the field for that matter). His error out there could have cost the Brewers a lot of runs.
  8. Whatever you say. Thank you. Are you seriously suggesting that he was wrong to pull Brady in this situation? Seriously. With a day off tomorrow, the benefits of playing Clark far outweighed the benefits of shlepping Magruder out there. If Clark's injury were that serious, he wouldn't have been playing at all. Seriously. there's no way that resting Brady wasn't the proper move No, no way in the world. Heh.
  9. Or perhaps because it was a smart idea to rest Brady with a 7-run lead since he's still hurting from getting hit in the foot? Or perhaps Yost appreciates Magruder's crappy play in center? Or he likes errors? Edit: And if the game is so far out of reach, why not play Hall in CF?
  10. Because he just ripped a double off a right handed pitcher, perhaps? Yes, that was Yost's grand plan. Everyone gets lucky sometimes.
  11. Holy crap, Wes Helms is playing. I forgot we had him.
  12. Why does it matter at this point? Because no team has ever come back from a 7 run deficit...
  13. There's a double play for all you Hardy haters.
  14. Pierogi race? http://www.sthedwigparish.org/Pierogi.jpg
  15. I like the CBS Sportsline gamecast the best. Nice and clean design. The MLB gamecast is too busy and the ESPN gamecast is owned by ESPN, which makes it inherently suck.
  16. Davis is throwing a lot of pitches, at 42 now through two innings. Hopefully he can settle down like Sheets did two days ago.
  17. Why did it take 4 innings for Hawk and DJ to figure out that Davis throws cutters? "I think that was a cutter." "Yah, that's what it was." 4th inning. I hear it. Edit: Bottalico's breaking ball could be sick if he's able to establish control of his fastball.
  18. Davis has gone 4 innings and allowed 2 hits, no walks and has struck out 5 so far. Still 3-0 Crew after 4. Edit: DD pulled after 4.1 IP, with the bases loaded. Phelps gives up a weak ground ball that scores a run and a foul out. 3-1 Crew after 4.5. Edit: Hardy robbed of another extra-base hit by Rowand. Looks like Magruder has slimmed down some. His swing looks a little smoother, too. Edit: Looks like goatees are the Brewers' thing this year. Hardy looks about 8 years older than when I talked with him 3 years ago.
  19. "End of the 4th" No, ChiSox announcer, it's the end of the 3rd. Still 3-0 Crew. El Cabello looks good in a Brewers jersey. Edit: Davis looks great tonight. Getting lots of swings and misses.
  20. BTW, just bought MLB.TV and the quality is excellent on a cable line.
  21. Hardy opens his Miller Park career with a triple. ...and scores on a two-out single by Brady Clark. 3-0 Crew after 2 innings.
  22. ChiSox strike out a couple times and go quietly in the top of the second.
  23. Jenkins Texas-league double down left field line scores Overbay from second. 2-0 Crew after 1 inning.
  24. I can only imagine how lost Geno is.
  25. Mmmmm.... cheese sandwiches. The other night, I was at a sports bar with some people, watching the end of the Villanova/UNC game. Next to that TV there was a Knicks/Sonics game on. For one brief and glorious moment, Ray Allen and Allan Ray were on the screen simultaneously, staring at me. It was beautiful.
