  1. Last year when we had the debate over whether Dillard was rule-5 eligible or not, someone (I believe it was Colby, but I could be wrong) gave a link a page they had set up to show the service time of every player in the system. It was only partially completed at the time, and I saved the link in my favorites at work...but now I have a new job and I don't have it any more. It was cool because you could sort by player, or arrange them in order of service time to set the cutoff for who needed to be protected...the service time even went out to 3 decimal places. I am sure I am not dreaming...but maybe it was just a temporary thing. Anyway, I look forward to your list when it comes out. Enjoy your trip.
  2. Hey guys, I was just searching for that handy little link showing service time for Brewers minor leaguers so I could try to determine who needed to be added to the 40-man this winter, but I was unable to find it. Does anyone have that link saved? Is it still active? I would appreciate the help. Thanks.
  3. Whiteside with 5 passed balls in the game!! I wonder if he is at catcher to stay...he did spend quite a lot of time as an outfielder last year.
  4. Iribarren, and Gillespie need to be bumped up...they are both just raking right now. I wouldn't mind seeing Katin moved as well. It could provide some much needed offensive help for Huntsville's postseason push.
  5. And neither is Whiteside...any news out there?
  6. And Brett Whiteside hasn't played in a while either...I know it was an odd catching rotation, but what's up?
  7. OK guys, here is your chance to make your official prediction for the Brewers 1st round pick...written in stone for bragging rights forever...good luck! The prize? Pride http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif My pick: Joba Chamberlain...Hoping we finally go the college route for that first round pitcher.
  8. Heether with his second double in as many days (3 total). Maybe the power will finally come around. By the way, is anyone else having trouble with the Huntsville feed? I can't get it to stop buffering...I used to be able to listen at work, but not lately. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.
  9. Well, I can see why Sanchez wouldn't want to hit Clark there...but it sure looked like he hit him on purpose. It sucks that the guy got thrown out, but that is what happens when you give up back to back jacks and then hit the next guy in the back.
  10. Huntsville game postponed until tomorrow. Unplayable field conditions. www.huntsvillestars.com/news/news.asp?newsId=819
  11. Yeah, I doubt it is anything to get too excited about, but it is nice to see the guy playing well. I would love for him to get a cup of coffee sometime this year as a sign of appreciation...but with him not being on the 40-man that seems unlikely. Still, if he can keep this up the whole year...well, we will deal with that when the time comes!
  12. Man, Chris Barnwell is on fire...2 more hits today...seems someone doesn't want to accept his "organizational soldier" tag and is threatening to become an actual prospect. Where did this come from?
  13. I saw it...although MLB.TV is very dark so I didn't see it that well. It didn't look like he went out of his way...they way I saw it Greene was standing about 3 feet up the third base line with the ball waiting for Prince, and Prince ran him over. One of Princes forearm might have hit Greene, but it din't look intentional to me...I guess we will all see when it is showed again on SportsCenter
  14. So what's up with Sarfate? He seemed to find his command for a while, but now he is walking batters at an alarming rate.
  15. After the 3-run homer, the next 10 outs were all by strike out...amazing.
  16. Yovani Gallardo gives up a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first...then gets angry and strikes out the side in the bottom of the second. 3-0 Palm beach after 2.5.
  17. Hendrickson gives up a solo shot to Adam Hyzdu...ERA at 0.56. So far today, 5 innings, 2 walks, 5 K's, 1 run.
  18. Power lose 4-2...interesting 9th inning, similar to the Brewers yesterday, just not quite enough.
  19. I would think it would be Fernandez in that scenario...or maybe even Sarfate...he has been lights out so far.
  20. I am pretty sure you are listening to Kent Summerfeld...I am listening to the feed as well...definitely not taking over permanently anytime soon!
  21. I have XM as well, and neither game is on...it is ticking me off, actually, as this is the reason I bought it
  22. I know what you mean...I got XM just so I could listen to the games on my way home from work.
  23. I really don't think this is that big of a deal. I don't expect us to be active in the free agent market anyway simply because the talent available is not that great. I expect a couple of 2 for 1 trades to go down however...us trading quantity for quality for once. That will help alleviate any percieved 40-man roster crunch, and hopefully add some top notch talent as well. I am very excited to see what Melvin is able to pull off this off season.
