  1. Holy Freakin' COW!!!!! This is crazy!!!!
  2. So, does this knock Carpenter out of the Cy Young? Assuming that Dontrelle Willis doesn't also stumble of course.
  3. But we aren't playing Barry Bonds today...or Rafael Palmeiro for that matter. Sosa isn't with the Cubs anymore either, so I have no idea what you are talking about http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. Trust me, I believe you colby...just double checking in case a mistake was made http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif I was thinking the other day that having a later pick would make guessing who our #1 pick would be would be more interesting. Now I am wondering if we will have a #1 pick at all. I guess it wouldn't be horrible to try to fill our needs internally...keep Ohka, start Eveland or Sarfate etc. I was really looking forward to them being active in the free agent market...Now I have no idea what the Brewers plans might be!
  5. I was under the impression that signing a type "B" free agent would require, at best, a 2nd round pick. Did you make a typo, or have I misunderstood the rule?
  6. I get it in Philly...or so the TV guide says...if that helps anyone http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Is anyone listening to the Helena game? The boxscore shows them down 4-2 in the 6th...Angel with a solo shot. The boxscore hasn't updated in a while though, so things could be different by now. Sounds win!!!! 8-6...lead best of five 1-0
  8. Sounds win!!!! But, as mentioned, Bennett walks off apparantly with problems with his elbow. Hopefully it isn't as bad as it sounds.
  9. Yes, you can bring your own peanuts to the game. I usually buy a big bag at a grocery store, and eat them throughout the game...no problem.
  10. I just got home to watch the ending...unbelievable!!! Hopefully we can carry some of this momentum into Philly...when I get to watch in person!! Sweet!!!
  11. I am assuming that is only for the szecond half? We still have to be quite a ways below .500 overall.
  12. When did we sign this guy? He is the one with the 100 mph knuckle ball right? Seriously, I got a brewerfan.net transaction e-mail saying that blah mcblah was signed...just thought I would let you know.
  13. I told you I was buying one for my fiance for my birthday...I made her promise me she would wear it before I showed it to her...she thought it was hilarious!!
  14. Craig Breslow was just called up to the majors by San Diego...Congrats Craig! Too bad we let him get away...what were we thinking?
  15. Another no decision for Davis...this is amazing, and not in a good way.
  16. So, if Braun gets promoted, what becomes of Heether? Does Braun go to Brevard County and Heether to Huntsville (my preference)? Or, does Braun leapfrog Heether, and go to Huntsville...in that case does Heether repeat Brevard County after the year he is having? I know many don't feel that he is a real prospect, but in my opinion he is having a year that says he is. By all accounts he is good with the glove, and he can hit for power...and so far this year has hit for a surprising average...I like the guy. I don't think he should block Braun, obviously, but I would like to see what if he can keep hitting at higher levels.
  17. He would have to pitch 15 1/3 scoreless innings to manage it...not sure he has that in him...14 maybe, but not 15 1/3 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. So, with Parra done for the year, do we bother putting him ont he 40-man this off season? When he is on, he is on, but his injury history really scares me. Would we be better of protecting someone else with his spot?
  19. Hendrickson cruising through 5...it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him offered the #5 spot if a SP trade does go down.
  20. Irribarren with an infield hit...busting it right out of the box.
  21. How about Phelps? Who cares if he goes down. de la Rosa? He probably shouldn't have made the team. I am not saying that it would be fine if someone else got hurt, but it wouldn't hurt us like a Sheets injury would. Besides, he was sitting there for an extended period of time, and he has a four run lead. It just doesn't make any sense.
  22. Why is Sheets still pitching? If he slips and pulls his groin, I will never forgive Ned Yost.
  23. I couldn't have said it better myself. Here's hoping for a lot more success in the future.
  24. I saw that after I posted...this is good news for sure. Hopefully he can keep up his dominant ways, although I am a little concerned about the vast difference in the amount of innings he is throwing this year as compared to last. I wonder why Villanueva wasn't the first one called up? I will have to check their ages.
