  1. Yeah he was, but he no longer seems interested in coaching anymore since hes turned down a couple of jobs with the Twins as he continues to be a roving instructor. He would be a great addition just unlikely.
  2. First of all, Valentines not coming back to the states he loves baseball over there. Second of all, Listach is actually and up and coming coach who could be perfect in Milwaukee many would compare him to Jason Garrett (Cowboys OC) where its not if he gets a job, its what job he wants. Moreover, BA named Pat AAA manager of the year, and it kind of perplexes me that some people say we shouldnt hire people because they are former brewers, so then why should we automatically dismiss them for being former Brewers. If Melvins still the GM which is likely dont be surprised if he gives Ken Macha a call to see if he still wants to coach since this was his job to have before Yosts. I really hope they give Pete Mackanin a look, he was impressive in his 1/2 yr in Cinci.
  3. Green is a player who could be much more replacable down the line than Brantley or Lucroy. By the way I believe many of you are forgetting about Carlos Santana in Cleveland probably one of the top 3 catchers in the minors after his monster year , so I doubt theyd take Lucroy. Im just praying for Taylor Green cuz Brantley seems like a perfect fit for center/lead-off in 2010.
  4. Ive been trying to get rid of this for a while. Not looking for much, either cash or blank omlb. heres a link to the picture: http://i279.photobucket.c...LB/Benscollection_126.jpg
  5. We got 2 at the game, and Im not really a big bobblehead guy. The only one Im looking for from this year is the Gallardo from beloit. However, Im interested in signed 8x10s, signed omlbs, and blank omlbs.
  6. sent you a pm, with a link to my pb
  7. Is it sweet spot? Then Id be interested.
  8. Why do the Cubs always get ridiculously good deals. Gallagher is a good prospect, but in another organization there is no way he is that hyped up. Patterson and Murton will be lucky to mediocore mlbers at best and Donaldson is a pathetic 2nd round college catcher who is hitting .214 in low A ball.
  9. Good Doug just cuz we have prospect depth doesn't mean we have to deplete it. Sadly, I think a good fit for this team would have been Lowe in LA just because he has the experience/ and the talent to be a #2/#3 and we wouldnt have to give up Gamel or LaPorta to get him (probably 2-3 of the mid range prospects aka Green/Ford/etc), but the dodgers just keep falling into 1st place. For CC Im fine with the Laporta/Green/??? package as long as Doug firmly believes this makes up a Championship caliber ball club and not just some way to get beat in the playoffs like the Cubs did last year.
  10. My heart just died a little inside for you. The worst part about that whole situation if it would have been one of us who enraged Pujols there probably would have been some fighting that occured. Also, John is a really nice guy, I think the most exspensive item Ive seen him get signed is a baseball card so I doubt hes a seller.
  11. BHF Im glad you mention the players, cuz G-Rob prevented many fans from getting autographs of Albert Pujols when the cardinals were in town for the 25th anniversary game. Pujols had started signing by the dugout, so obviously it was a mad house. G-Rob got him to sign a photo, he then tried to double dip, Pujols saw him asked him to open up his binder, he saw the signed photo and then he said something along the lines of "This is why I dont sign autographs" and he walked away. I was only ten people away on the right ever since then hes been on my crap list.
  12. His name is Robert or G-Rob he yelled at me and BHF during the Arizonia series for going to the hotel cuz he said we were taking money away from his child support. Overall, he is just a scum bag and I heard his new plan is to photo shop signatures into muliple photos by getting players to sign blank sheets of paper.
  13. Im not a big bucks guy but this move seems like a move to become 42-40. All in all Id probably rather see this team develop with Yi down the stretch and build for the long term. However, if its one step closer to getting Redd out of town Im all for it. I just hope they dont give up on Alexander.
  14. I was able to obtain an extra ip at a snappers game. It is a major league ball signed on the sweet spot in blue pen. Im mostly looking for other hofers or other mlb stars (I really want something signed by Tim Lincecum) either signed 8x10's or major league baseballs. I dont really need a lot of current brewers but Im willing to listen to offers. It looks good, however I apologize my scanner is broken so I will be unable to provide a photo for now.
  15. Great job Jack love the pick would have been happy with Melville too
  16. BA also has Weeks at 12 going to Oakland, I like him but that just seems about 10 picks too early. This would be a typical Billy Beane move. Also, Colbyjack whats wrong with Scherzer the guy has a 2.15 minor league era and even lower major league one so far. I know his ceiling isn't considered to be a #1, but his production has been great on all levels so far. However, I do agree with you on Drew I never liked him from the get go.
  17. Mayo from BA said the Reds are seriously considering Lawrie with their pick just inside the top ten. Hopefully, this is is not the case, because that may be a little high even for the "Canadian Crush". What I'm worried about is he doesn't become one of those guys where everyone says he is underated, therefore on draft day he is overrated. Long story short I really hope Jack Z has him targeted at 16.
  18. I have a Richie Sexson Buffalo Bison or a Bill Hall Snappers bobblehead. If those don't interest you I would be willing to trade some Brewer autographs.
  19. But, we're the Brewers. Prince Fielder will cost ten million next year there is no way we could afford that. We should just trade him for whatever anyone else is willing to pay. Seriously, the offer they made for Cabrera this winter included the same value and some speculated even more. Moreover, the Dodgers are desparate for offense, especially with the Jones and Torre x-factors. It just blows my mind that people ignore Prince's value when he is one of the best young hitters in the game. Premium players come at a premium price! (code repair --1992)
  20. I heard hes supposed to be one and done just like Masterson was for the Red Sox. However, that could just be a safety net if he has a bad outing. I saw him in beloit and he was filthy. I think Broxton and Kershaw for Fielder would be a great trade for both teams.
  21. Yeah, I caught portions of this. I thought the fan atmosphere was really amazing and it was cool to see how well Bobby V has adjusted to Japan. I really enjoyed the passion that the players had and I wonder if the Pacific Coast League championship game between Bobby V's young ace and Yo Darish will be seen as a rematch in a mlb game. Overall, I would highly reccomend watching this.
  22. Okay, lets say he lets Kendall swing away. The only way we would have scored more than the one run was if he would have hit an extra base hit. Do you really think he would have gotten an extra base hit? Yost, knew he was only at best going to plate one, so he went with the safest way to do that. Now, if you believe that the bullpen is shaky, than your argument against the squeeze is even shakier. Yost had to get a lead, because he knew there was a good chance his bullpen was going to allow more runs, so he couldn't afford to risk not scoring any. I'm not the biggest Yost guy out there anymore, but to me this just seems like people reading way too much into a botched play by a veteran catcher. I will however admit there is major incompetence lying within our third base coach Dale Sveum. Overall, if you think our bullpen is not good enough than you need to be blaming Melvin and not Yost!
