  1. I really want it though haha. The guy is my favorite player http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif but $200!!! That can buy a lot so I hope it stays there awhile so when my change jar fills up, I will buy it then. Who knows? Maybe it will be $100 by then. They also had a Brian Shouse batting helmet for $200 and a Hardy helmet for $300. A Manny Parra game used jersey: $800! Ouch!
  2. I saw a game used batting helmet of Mitch Stetter at one of the shops at Miller Park and they were asking $200 for it. No way am I spending $200 on any game used item unless its a jersey of my favorite player. I wish I could haggle with them and get it down to $100 since that would be reasonable for it.
  3. Thanks for the info RM. I never knew about that so it will come in handy at the game tonight! Woohoo, $1 hot dogs, soda, popcorn, ice cream, cookies, and slushies! If I say I forgot my parking stub in my car, can I still get my free soda? ;-)
  4. I found myself cheering when Sabathia walked in Luke Scott. As much as I love Sabathia, I just can't cheer for the Yankees. But Sabathia left the game without a strikeout which really surprised me.
  5. Thanks guys. I emailed Dave about the cards that I am looking for but he seems to be gone till May 4. Ahhhh. But thats fine and hopefully he has the cards that I am looking for. And I will let you know stars if he doesn't have them. Thanks.
  6. I am a huge fan of Mitch Stetter and am trying to complete his card collection. The three cards that I am really looking for are the 2004 Beloit Snapper multi ad, 2005 Huntsville Grandstand, and 2006 Nashville Sounds multi ad. I found the team sets on a website but am not interested in paying $21 for other cards I don't need. Also, I haven't come across any of these but 2008 Piece of History Blue, Gold, and Silver are nowhere to be found if anybody can help me with those also. I might have to stop by Jeffs tomorrow to see if he has anything. I can either pay with Paypal(preferred) but can also pay with cash. Thanks much.
  7. I just purchased a Mitch Stetter jersey. I will be the only one in Miller Park to have one and thats fine with me. I befriended him during spring training this week and hopefully he still remembers my name come April. Needless to say, I am giddy and can't wait till my jersey arrives. It could take up to 3 weeks because it has to be made.
  8. Are the Giants games crowded? I am going to the game tomorrow and its at their stadium so I hope I can get some more autographs on my Brewers shoe. I obtained Mat Gamel, Lorenzo Cain, Jonathon Lucroy and Brad Nelson on it. I also got my picture with Mat Gamel which I liked more than all the autographs. Funny story. I am sitting by the pool side right now with my laptop and somebody walks by and says Brewers Fan! Love it! And said for me to update this thread. Haha, love it.
  9. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Games/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A1985585 Add it to your cart, put in the coupon code of: Z0WPL1J0CC3W47 and you will have a 80 GB PS3 for $320 + tax and free shipping(3-5 Day Ground shipping). Coupon code is good till March 26. It is 20% off so you can use it on anything you want. Free shipping is only good for orders over $129. As far as the price drop for the PS3, I can only see maybe a $50 price drop. The PS3 is here to stay for awhile. I can see at least the next 5 years before something new comes out. I looked up the keyboard question and it does appear that you can plug it in any usb port and it will work. Same goes for a mouse.
  10. I got there at 10 am and the place was packed. We stood in line until about 10:20 until the line started moving, went up one escalator only to realize we had to wait in line to go up another escalator. When we got there, we waited in the Bob Uecker line. Braun's line was filled up as well as Fielders. The lines were well organized I must say. Well we were about a hundred people back when Uecker came out and with him was Attanasio. Nice little treat since he wasn't on the schedule. Well they started signing autographs and word got to the back of the line that Uecker would not sign ANYTHING except his own provided picture. People were outraged and I saw a couple of people go off on Mark about it. I don't blame them because if they are paying $25 for an autograph, they should be able to get it on something they have. I was about ready to leave the line because I don't want to pay $25 for something that isn't personal(he was pre-autographing the pictures and leaving them on the table for people to pick up). Well I couldn't get out so I stayed to get a picture. Well about 50 people went through when I guess enough people complained to Mark and Bob about it when they changed the rule. I tried to talk to Uecker but he was being very grouchy. I asked him how he was doing and he didn't answer. He wouldn't even look at me. I ended up getting my pink Louisvill slugger signed by him. Then I asked if it was alright if I got a picture with me and him. Again, he didn't answer so I just went in and had my friend take a picture(which didn't turn out). It kind of sucks how cold the guy was to not even say anything. Mark signed a picture of him for me and I thanked him. I ended up getting a couple bobbleheads, getting a picture with Mitch Stetter and the best of all: another pink bat autographed by Angel Salome, Mat Gamel, and Taylor Green!!! They were all very nice and mingled with me. I told Salome I hope to see him in Milwaukee very soon and he said I can't wait. Except for my frustration with Uecker, it went very smoothly. There was a lot to do for kids and adults.
  11. I sold a bunch of items on Ebay the past two weeks and offered free shipping. I have never had a problem with selling anything until today. I got a message from a buyer saying he didn't receive his item. He is located in Michigan and I sent it first class January 5. I didn't buy delivery confirmation but I kept the receipt from the post office. Apparently that won't be good enough if he tries to get his money back through paypal because the only way the seller can win a dispute is if you can provide proof of delivery. Lets say I did buy delivery confirmation and the post office forgot to scan it before dropping it off at his house: I would still lose the dispute. I am not a fan of this flawed system and will have to raise my shipping charges to cover the delivery confirmation and hope nothing like this will happen again. I will also have to make sure to not allow buyers to have less than 5 for feedback. If he does dispute this, I am out $35. I am thinking emailing him back providing a scan of the receipt and offer half his money back and he will accept it. This sucks.
  12. Well I ended up getting some good news and bad news about school today. I found out the class that I really want/need to take so I don't have to be in school another year will be offered this summer. I also found out the price of my books and it is not bad at all! Four classes for about $275. I was thinking it might be close to about $500 because I have to take a Chemistry class. Furthermore, the book for Chemistry will be used for my summer class(another Chemistry class). But I was signing up for FAFSA today because I can't afford it out of my pocket anymore won't go into effect until Fall which means I have to pay for my summer class myself. Its not too bad but that means I have to work more than I want to so I can pay the $1000 for it.
  13. Well to accumalate some more money for books for college, I have to sell some more of my things. God knows how much a chemistry book is going to cost. Well I have some autographed baseball cards for sale for relatively cheap. It will be a $1.50 to ship out a card in a bubble mailer unless someone wants to pick it up in Sussex http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. Look me up on ebay: srtire. I am a very trusted seller. Prices: Gorman Thomas, Chris Capuano, and Carlos Villanueva for $10 Ben Sheets and Rickie Weeks for $10 Yovani Gallardo for $10 Or $5 for each individual Gorman Thomas Upper Deck autograph http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32087.jpg Carlos Villanueva Bowman autograph http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32091.jpg Chris Capuano Upper Deck autograph signed on a piece of baseball http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32085.jpg Rickie Weeks Upper Deck with four pieces of game worn jersey and only 50 in the world autograph http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32090.jpg Yovani Gallardo Upper Deck autograph with Philip Humber autograph only 49 in the world http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32088.jpg Ben Sheets Upper Deck autograph with Jose Capellan autograph http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32097.jpg PM me if you want more pictures of any of them, or if you want to purchase any of them. I will take PayPal preferrably or a money order. I don't want to get rid of them but books are very expensive even off of amazon :-(
  14. It all depends how many type A and B free agents there are. If there are less than 14, no team can sign more than one. If there are 15-38, no team can sign more than two and between 39-62 no team can sign more than three. I may be mistake but I believe they have lost three Type A free agents so they can only sign three Type A players. Any team can sign a type A free agent even if they don't lose one as long as they don't go over the limit set. I had to look up the rules for this. And as for the signing, it was a good deal for Burnett personally. As for the Yankees? Must be nice not to have to worry about losing a player to an injury if it comes to that. Edit: I will have to count how many type A and B free agents there is but I believe its under the 62.
  15. Remember guys: the Yankees can only sign 3 Type A free agents according to MLB rules. Since they lost three Type A free agents, they can sign three. That means they have to choose between Sheets, Lowe, and Pettite if they are looking to add another pitcher. Edit: And if they resign Pettite, that is it for Type A free agents. They can't sign any more type A free agents.
  16. I was looking at deals online and came across this: http://shop.mlb.com/produ...d=3114524&cp=.1503844 If you ad it to your cart, it takes half the price off to $20. Then use the promotional code TY2008 to get an extra 15% off. Add the shipping and its only $25 total. Not bad for a full sized bat and would be a really nice Christmas present or something to get autographed at the On Deck event. I also believe if you buy over $99 worth of stuff from mlb.com, you also get free shipping with the promotional code WORKADV1. They are still in stock so you might want to hurry before this sale goes away.
  17. Just thought I would bump this thread up. Anybody else go to the clubhouse sale? I got there at 9:20 and waited 40 minutes to get into the clubhouse and look around. It was crowded and cramped. All hats and pennants were $5 and all the Big Head bobbleheads(Hart, Hardy, Fielder and the racing sausages....not sure if there was Braun) were $5. The Wild Card pennants, keychains, and bumper stickers were $1 and the wild card baseball was $2. Shirts I believe were $10ish. They had plenty of bobbleheads left. As for the game used: they had jerseys, bats, batting helmets, and hats. The jerseys were from $200ish-$400 depending on the player, bats were $175ish-$300 depending on the player, helmets were $200-$300 I think and I don't know the price on the hats. They also have plenty of hats and shirts including the fitted hats were only $5 but really small sizes. I ended up getting a bobblehead of Corey Hart, a baseball, 5 pennants, and an autographed bat by JJ Hardy for a grand total of $72. They had autographed baseballs of JJ Hardy for only $20 but I wanted the bat instead which sold out the second he brought them out. There are some good deals but it was a long wait to get in.
  18. Was at the game tonight and the minute Turnbow's music started playing, you could hear the boos. Ridiculous if you ask me. Actually surprised me that he didn't allow more runs after the flood of boos when he gave up the run. I'm sorry but if you are having both Turnbow and Riske warming up, I want to see Riske in there. At least that will hopefully allow us to have another inning, if needed, to score a run. But Yost is really start to get me po'ed. What inning was it when it was 0 out with Rickie on 2nd? In that situation, you need to have Hardy bunt. Sure, Rickie ended up scoring on Braun's single but thats not the point. Why not insure a run by having Rickie on 3rd with 1 out than on 2nd with 1 out?
  19. I'm going to tonights game alone..... I figure tonight would be a good chance to get Coco's autograph. Hopefully
  20. How much are items usually at the rummage sale? I might skip getting autographs if the prices are reasonable. Ahhhh, can't wait for another season!!! Too bad I can't attend the whole game though. BHF, what entrance were you going to be at? Home plate?
  21. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jackson! Unbelievable. This tourney is getting interesting.
  22. Ouch, that missed free throw could hurt by San Diego
  23. Jim Gantner will be signing autographs August 25 at Treasure Seekers on Appleton Ave. in the Falls for $10 per autograph or a free autograph with any purchase. He will be signing from 3-4.
