  1. I'd like to see them trade Jenkins and move Overbay to the OF, personally. I think Overbay is just hitting his prime production, and Jenkins is going to either really decline, get hurt, or both.
  2. Oh, that's the one-trick pony they traded away for a full-grown horse, or should I say Caballo? Carlos rules.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  3. Add in his plate discipline, and he's going to be special.
  4. Read about it in the print edition of USA Today, yet to find a link for it, but apparently Jared Weaver will be back in the draft this year. Any chance the Brewers take him? Or is the price tag too high? Edit: Here's a LINK According to a number of published reports, the Angels had offered a $5.25 million, five-year deal to the right-hander. Weaver and his agent, Scott Boras, had initially asked for a reported $10.5 million but had lowered their price to $8 million.
  5. Couldn't agree more Batman, he's much better than, to borrow a phrase from BP, "overpaid veteran chaff" that's out there every offseason. I think he'll definitely get a spot in the pen, unless they really think it's in Capellan's best interests development-wise to sit and rot in the pen (it's not).
  6. SAVE - DERRICK TURNBOW (1) Are they going to jack up his save total in ST games, then trade him off Kolb-style?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. Nice work Hous Is he going to start at Nashville? I think he has to doesn't he?
  8. Jenkins rips a double too - going oppo. Here comes Rottino to PR for him.
  9. I wouldn't say he was "only drafted" for his walks. His line in his last year of college was .320/.493/.566, with 11 HR and 69 BB in 219 AB's. I'd say he was drafted because he was a highly productive college player who fit the profile of what the A's were looking for.
  10. Let's hope so, there's nothing wrong with that from a 6/7 hitter.
  11. Lovin Krynzel's line today - 2 BB and a SB - that's great to see.
  12. Man, Cappy's pickoff move is sweet. He picked off 6 guys last year, and he's got one already this spring.
  13. This was the first thing I thought of doing when I woke up! But Brian beat me to it. Madtown, are both games going to be webcast on MLB?
  14. I liked the old maroon of 20 minutes ago. I was saying that I was starting to bold my links lately when I posted them,if you did the bolding of the maroon at my behest.
  15. Me too, it's not too much of an eyesore, even though I've been doing the bold thing lately, it doesn't much matter to me.
  16. Capuano throws a slider that looks very much like Davis' cutter.
  17. Adams throws a slurve. Edit: I have a bunch of games on tape (all the televised wins from the past 2 seasons), so I could always look back at them if you need a lot more info on certain guys.
  18. Well, here's another one from www.athleticsminors.com/ . They just posted an interview with Sickels regarding the A's system. I would tend to think that it wouldn't be that difficult for one of the higher-ups here, like MadBad or MassBrew, to score an interview with him, since he's pimping his new blog and all. Here's the e-mail he gives on johnsickels.com - JASickels@aol.com.
  19. Excellent, thanks Brian.
  20. thank you Toby W-O-R-D
  21. OK, being that the A's are my second team, I often peruse sites relating to them at well. I was over at www.athleticsminors.com/ and saw this nifty little tool. If you click on "Tools" on the sidebar, and click on "Acquired Flow" it takes you to a page that shows how everybody on the 40 man roster it's pretty cool. Think that would be doable?
  22. Once again, Brian, thank you very much.
  23. Is there any way one can delete the plugins that were included with the browser?
  24. Are the Crew likely to have ANY chance at Upton at all? Or is he pretty much going to be a lock for #1? Edit: Hochevar's UT stats
  25. Thanks, I didn't think I missed it. I'll stick patiently with the leaderboard for now - not like there's really any new stats to look at anyway.
