  1. The Brewers had to fly from Houston to Minneapolis last night, have to play the ESPN Sunday night game, fly back to Milwaukee and play at 1:00 pm Monday afternoon (Granted a short flight but still quick turnaround). Tough stretch especially considering they will face Chris Carpenter Monday who hasn't allowed an earned run in 15 innings this year and looked very good coming off the DL against the Cubs.
  2. Telly is not enjoyable to listen to.
  3. The most interesting thing to me about the Larsen perfect game interview, was that Larsen threw out the ceremonial 1st pitch to Berra in 1999 for Yogi Berra day at Yankee stadium, walked off the mound and shook David Cone's hand and wished him good luck. Cone then proceeded to go out and pitch just the 17th perfect game in MLB history.
  4. Has anyone been to the Titanic exhibit at the Milw Public Museum? Family is looking for something to do and thought this might be interesting.
  5. Doesn't Sveum understand that if we lose we are done? The leash has been way too long for Suppan. To allow back to back HR's in inexcusable. Once that 3 run HR was hit, he should have been gone.
  6. CC better bat in the 8th. We can't afford to go to the pen yet.

  8. I can see not pinch hitting for Kendall because he is so crucial behind the plate. It is time to start pinch hitting for Corey Hart because he is absolutely lost at the plate.

  10. The biggest Brewer series since the season ender in Baltimore 26 years ago is upon us. The Brewers trail the Cubs by 4.5 in the Central. Philly and Houston are 4 back in the wildcard. St Louis is 4.5 back. If the Brewers go 4-0 or 3-1 in Philly they most likely will be playing in October, and with 6 left against the Cubs the division wouldn't be out of the question especially since the Cubs have a very difficult schedule with the majority of their games on the road and all of their games against teams in the playoff hunt. 2-2 and the Phillies would still be 4 back with only 12 to play. Go 1-3 or 0-4 and the advantage swings to the Phillies and Astros since they have easier schedules the rest of the way The Card still have a very slim chance, but a tougher schedule than the Phils or Astros. The schedules break down as follows: Brewers: 6 home games, 10 road games 4 at Philly 6 vs Cubs (3 road, 3 at home) 3 at Cincinnati, a team they have struggled with 3 vs Pitt at home Philly: 10 home games and 6 road games 4 at home with the Brewers 6 vs Atl (3 home, 3 road) 3 at Florida 3 vs Wash Houston: Has 10 home games and 6 road games 4 with Pittsburgh (1 home, 3 away) 3 with the Cubs at home 3 at Florida 3 with Cincinnati 3 with Atlanta Cubs: 6 home, 11 road games 4 vs StL (1 road, 3 home) 3 at Hou 6 vs Milw (3 home, 3 road) 4 at NY Mets St Louis: 8 home 9 road 4 with Cubs (1 home, 3 road) 3 at Pit 6 Cin (3 road, 3 home) 4 home with Arizona We should have a pretty good idea by Sunday night if we can breathe a sigh of relief, or if we will be saying wait till next year.
  11. I have to agree. I think Prince should be shopped in the off season. Don't give him away, but if you can get good trade value (I'm not sure what that is) Melvin should do it. Prince has been disappointing at the plate and his D leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think Prince will have a long career. The weight issue will eventually catch up to him with injuries being a definite possibility.
  12. I'd say keep the regular rotation. Sometimes you can outsmart yourself. Besides if you move back CC who do you propose pitches next Wednesday? McClung?
  13. Agree completely. His use of Gagme alone this year should disqualify him for the award.
  14. Is there a worse baserunner in baseball than Weeks?
  15. I'm watching the Cubs feed from WGN because my mom only has basic cable. Did FSN show the camera shot of Weeks getting back to first after the line out? He was only going 3 quarter speed. Lack of hustle!!! If he is busting hard he makes it. I can't stand Weeks. WGN announcers were rightfully hard on Weeks.
  16. Weeks is the most frustrating player in Brewer history. I will jump for joy if they can deal him in the off season.
  17. If that is true, that means 2 players off the current roster must be sent down or released. I assume Dillon to Nashville and either Stetter to Nashville or Mota DFA.
  18. Tavares better be in the waiver wire tomorrow.
  19. ...and this concerns you know? Just curious
  20. Why is Ed Sedar, not Sveum, coaching 3rd base tonight?
