  1. Good work, FSN. Nothing like missing the first TWO pitches!
  2. You know some pretty talented 5 year olds!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. I agree and do the same as the last two posts. Here is my question for you guys: in last season's episode where Ari cleans house at TMA with a paintball gun the best Entourage moment ever?
  4. That is awesome. I wish I had some of those items!
  5. The line from Lavin "What did Visanthe Shiancoe try to use it as a cup?" was absolutely hilarious. Aside from that, though the season hasn't been very good.
  6. Enjoy the rest of the game everyone. It's time to mow the lawn!
  7. I wonder how long it will take Haudricourt to go off on Twitter....
  8. Greetings, y'all. Let's get this and go in to Pit and work on a 7 game win streak!
  9. Where's Kane Davis when you need him? He'd be perfect in this situation.
  10. Who would have thought that Corey would end up with the strong possibility of 30 and 100??
  11. I used to visit the McFarlane store in Tempe quite often. It really was a cool place with tons of memorabilia collected by Todd McFarlane. Anyways, I asked a worker in 2007 if they would do a Braun figurine (after he won ROY) and he told me that a Braun figurine would be on the way. I've been waiting almost 3 years now.....I check on spawn.com to see their lists. They sometimes have them almost a year in advance.
  12. This picture must be pretty sweet.... thomasmsauve at gmail.com
  13. -Chili Davis 7/30/95. He stepped over the railing at County Stadium and punched a heckler. I was in RF in the bleachers, 11 years old. I just wonder how nuts that would've been in the current 24 hour news era. -Someone earlier mentioned the Buhner/Griffey/ARod 6 bomb game. I was there. -Also at the 2002 'tie' all star game. AKA Roid Fest '02 -Saw Stephen Drew hit for the cycle in AZ, sad part A- no one in the stadium realized it until the scoreboard pointed it out. B- someone else hit one that day too. -Saw Yo's first HR hit.
  14. You just hit it right on the head, MJ. He IS a good guy. Back in my AZ days I used to delight in watching him play. He played hard all the time and gave it all he had. He's even admitted that he isn't exactly the epitome of a good stick and that was his main reason as to why he is no longer playing. He's a very down to earth guy. I once saw him at a Phoenix Coyotes game and fans were all around him and he was laughing, giving high fives, and shaking hands with other hockey fans. I would rather watch a guy who maxes out his potential, plays hard and has fun vs. a guy like Gary Sheffield who has(d) all the talent in the world, but lets his ego get in the way.
  15. I just may drive the 5.5 hours to Milwaukee at 100 MPH just to punch Joe Morgan in the mouth before he exits the city. HD computer screens?? Idiot.....
  16. I've got more Gamel signed stuff than I know what to do with. A lot of them are balls signed by multiple guys, but he will sign just about anything. I had a daughter about the same time his child was born. I started talking with him about parenthood and he would ask me how things with my daughter were going. I found him to be a pretty nice guy.
  17. http://crackberry.com/rin...-call-bob-uecker-brewers Register for the site and you can download it.
  18. I am the poster that was referenced on a previous page of this thread with pictures of guys during ST. I no longer live in AZ and am "stuck" in WI during ST this year. Here is what I learned during my 2 years of spending basically everyday at Maryvale during ST: 1- The players are accessible. They practice on a 4 field complex opposite of the main stadium. I took some pictures right up on the fence, many of which I turned into 8x10s at the Walgreens next to the stadium and had autographed. That brings me to my next point: autographs. They're generally very easy to obtain if you know what you're doing. If you're down there right now the best time to get them is before games start. They will usually sign after practice. My major "secret" to cleaning up on autographs is as follows. If you are down there for a game when the team travels to Tucson to play STAY IN MARYVALE! They rarely ever send their main players. Instead, they take a quick round of BP and fielding. You can run around in the OF and keep a couple of balls for yourself. I once snagged a WS ball and an NY all star ball, which I later got signed by Hart and Braun. After they finish BP, they will ALL sign autos for whoever is around. Typically there are no more than 75 people around because no one knows to stay in town, they follow them to Tucson. I will tell you from personal experience it is WAY more fun to watch the BP and interact with the guys than see a game. I once had a convo with Jason Kendall about American Idol for 15 minutes while my bro talked to Brian Shouse about "life." I will remember that much more than a random ST game. As for the Maryvale area, I wouldn't recommend hanging around there for much more than practices and/or games. For the poster who wanted to run from Glendale to Maryvale, I wouldn't recommend it. You're running through a rough part of town along the canal. I'm not saying you can't, I just wouldn't do it and I lived around there. I am insanely jealous of everyone who gets to make their trips this spring. I will be stuck in NW WI this spring. If anyone knows Butch, tell him Tom says hi from Wisconsin.
  19. I have two sets of tickets for sale for the Brewers/Dbacks series in Sept. I got a teaching job in WI after I had these tickets already in hand. I have two seats on Friday night right next to the Brewers bullpen that I paid $34 for the pair. They are in 108, row 16 which is just inside the foul pole on the RF line. I also have 6 tickets in the 12th row of the upper deck behind home plate (318) for $10 a piece ($5 under face value) which are also good seats for a cheaper ticket. The pair for Friday can be emailed and I would have to send the tickets to you for the Sunday game. I do have paypal, so we can use that for an option. If you're interested PM me.
  20. Nice shirt....was that for real? I want that 2:30 of my life back. Scratch that, the people laughing in the stands was great.
  21. Well, then I guess it's settled. Melvin has confirmed interest, Ash has been seen at Halladay's starts, several well-respected national reporters have discussed the Brewers as a possible destination. I'm not saying it will definitely happen, but I don't think you can absolutely say it won't. And Melvin also said that Gamel and Escobar are as untouchable as untouchable gets. He isn't coming. They're asking for Kershaw and Ethier from LA, Happ and Drabek from Philly.....which is a HUGE load. I wonder what they'll want from the Brewers. My guess is a combo of Yo and Escobar/Gamel. Riccardi has said that Halladay will stay a Blue Jay. Everything is tipping overwhelmingly that he WON'T be a Brewer.
  22. Halladay won't opt out after a season. If he comes to Milwaukee he knows that he has young, front line talent in Braun and Fielder for at least a year. If he in fact doesn't want to come via a trade, he simply won't. He has a no trade clause. It would make NO sense for him to come into Milwaukee and then opt out. He knows what he's getting in to if he comes. He's gone after a year and a half regardless.
