  1. I'm guessing if they were to pan on the bowl from the OF, you'd see TONS of green seats. 10 PM is pretty late for an AZ crowd.
  2. I'm not sure there is a right answer here, it depends what you believe in and what perspective you choose to take. Personally, I don't like the 100 pitch threshold for pitchers in their peak years and I hate defined bullpen roles and switching relievers for the sake of switching relievers. If you believe in defined bullpen roles, I have no problem with your opinion on it, most people like the whole "each reliever has his own inning" concept. I personally subscribe to the "use your best pitchers in the best situation" theory. You have a couple of choices: You can take Narveson off of 90 or so pitches, who is throwing well, but as we all know is susceptible to blow ups. Couple that with playing on a glorified little league field. Or you can go with the combo of K-Rod and Ax who are two of the best relievers in the game this year. You play the percentages in my opinion and go with what historically works. Hopefully this doesn't matter, cuz this dude is IMPLODING for the Dbacks.
  3. And what happens if Narveson gives up runs in the 8th? Then RR is an idiot for not using K-Rod. The double standards on here are starting to make me wonder if I'm on jsonline.com/stupididiotcommentsIt's not a double standard. No one said Narveson had to pitch the entire 8th. They just wanted to see him start it until he gave up at least a baserunner. With the amount of balls that fly out of Chase with relative ease, Narveson is limited to probably one base runner. Why not use K-Rod? Isn't that what we got him for? Do you want Narveson on 90 pitches or a fresh K-Rod? The real problem here is Prince Fielder. NOT RRR!!!!!!!!

  5. Does anyone else have problems figuring out if home runs at Miller are actually home runs when watching on TV? For the life of me, I can not tell at what point this ball hits something over the fence. Every time I watch it, it looks like the ball lands near the warning track and has backspin like a golf shot.I was talking about that with some of my high school kids last week. We all agreed that Weeks HR was the biggest mind/eye trick we've seen at Miller Park.
  6. So do you go to K-Rod and Ax here and secure the game? Isn't that why you have them?
  7. Most people in AZ are fans of other teams. Cubs (like that idiot that Rock ripped), Brewers, Cardinals, Dodgers, Mets/Yankees. Milwaukee is a baseball city. They should have 10k more than Arizona on a Tuesday night when it's 110 degrees out.
  8. Holy crap. I've been to tons of games and BP sessions at Chase and have NEVER seen a ball hit up there......
  9. http://www.azsnakepit.com...cks-vs-milwaukee-brewers Interesting read.....
  10. About the only thing I can figure is that he didn't want to lose Ax or KRod in case the pitcher got up this inning?!?!
  11. Roenicke is all kinds of stupid. I usually don't sit on here and bag on him, but he deserves this one tonight.
  12. People on here weren't too much better on the first few pages of this thread.
  13. Harold Reynolds and Dan Plesac said the same thing. And Reynolds doesnt know that Ricki Weeks wont be a free agent after the season. I thought Harold's head was going to explode.....
  14. Bottom of this article makes me doubt that there are ANY names on a list right now... http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/125465823.html
  15. This is COMPLETELY about dumping salary. Nothing more, nothing less. The Brewers hit it huge on this deal. They will NOT let K Rod get to his incentive in his contract. This is a great day to be a Brewer fan!!!
  16. Sorry to say, they will inevitably lose with those on. The navy blue is getting worn (literally and figuratively). The worst jersey ever is their 90's throwback. Hideous. The gold is a nice change, in my opinion.
  17. I hope on their next home stand they start off with the Cerveceros jersey. I like the gold.
  18. I grew up with a 80's blooper tape and that clip is definitely on there. I thought of that before clicking on the link. I have been to more than a couple of stadiums and arenas where I have been a little freaked by the "shortness" of the railing. As many have said, it is amazing that this doesn't happen more often. You also have to credit Hamilton. He seems to be handling this pretty well. I think a lesser man would go insane from this.
