  1. I'm thrilled we are only one game back with how poor our offense has been, and the fact that Chicago seems to be on a 30 game homestand right now.
  2. Yost put in the ten million dollar closer in a save situation, and you guys are throwing Yost on the fire for this one. Really? I keep holding out hope that Brewer fans are better than that. what if he had thrown someone else out there who would have blown it. Everyone would be yelling at Yost for not using the closer in the save situation. I just don't understand how thinking people can blame the manager on this one. Gagne said he was ready to go, Yost put him in a save situation, and we lost.
  3. Soup, please keep the bases clear when Griffey and Dunn hit. They own you. Hopefully we get a solid bounceback start from Suppan and maybe then the bullpen can stop its 4 innings a game average.
  4. they must think they have an advantage by going after it early in the count
  5. so gross. a pop fly that leaves the yard.
  6. For some reason Santana is getting another day off, ESPN thinks it has something to do with the Phillies-Mets rivalry. Either way, that could be an outstanding game.
  7. because i meet with clients on weekends sometimes, I often take wednesday or thursday afternoons off when the crew is playing in milwaukee. A lot of the time I end up going by myself because everyone is working. Anyone who thinks that is lame is way too concerned about what other people think. Personally, I like the mix of my 20 game weekend pack where me and my 3 friends can have some "pregame fun" and then also getting to quietly enjoy an afternoon game when I would otherwise be working. Plus I like listening to 620 as I watch the game by myself, which is something I don't do when I'm there with my friends. I wish i was going tonight because I'd like to see this new guy try and handle the Crew's firepower. Hopefully we don't turn this into a K-Fest.
  8. with Yost's determination to keep veteran guys around, and the fact that Capuano was given 10 last chances, i would say not a whole lot of pressure at this point. Its just too bad we can't just have him start games at Miller Park. He is brutal on the road.
  9. yeah don't give SI much credence, every single year they manage to say that it is the Cubs year to contend. John Donovan i'm talking to you.
  10. i really think prince would be wise to accept an offer if it was good because of one issue: his weight there is just not very good history of people of his body type sustaining long productive careers.
  11. i'm in pedro. thank a lot for doing this edit: sorry i forgot that this was a noon game and i have to be in the office that day. will try again. thanks very much for your generosity though
  12. they must have issues with getting the truck for the whole year, because i know the plan was to broadcast every game in HD. oh well i guess i can't complain too much when almost every game will be on tv
  13. another spring outing where our starter can't get anybody out
  14. how long is his leash if he starts off slow? how long should he be given to turn things around? I don't know, personally I just cringe at the thought of having someone in the rotation who isn't pitching with full confidence. Especially if the reason is because he is a lefty.
  15. this whole idea to have a competition for the last spot(s) in the rotation hasn't gone too well this spring. I'm not basing a whole lot on a few starts, but I'd sure like to see somebody step up and win the job.
  16. turnbow's problem is confidence. Just like last year, he'll be successful this year until he has a few bad outings in a row. Once that happens, he stops throwing his breaking stuff effectively because he doesn't think he can throw strikes. He sure doesn't seem to ever get hit hard.
  17. yost better think long and hard about capuano. More and more it seems like he's part of the rotation because he holds the ball with his left hand. I hope he makes me eat my words, but it seems that Capuano's run of bad outings has affected his ability to "go after" hitters. And as a guy who doesn't have a 98 mph fastball, he can't afford to lose his agressiveness.
  18. hey guys its my first post here. I'm thrilled to be included with all the great crew fans. Hopefully will get to know some of you better in the near future. Anyways, Brian Anderson was on ESPN radio this morning, and said that if they get all the trucks properly equipped, which is the plan, than all the games will be broadcast in High Definition. I know I'm not the only one very excited about it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif (edit: added information to title --1992)
