  1. I pretty much agree with you in how I end up getting to games. From knowing a couple of the ticket guys, i guess you could say an "issue" is Brewers season ticket holders constantly calling their reps to get more Cubs games added to their package so they can resell them.
  2. Only way they really drive it is funding our season ticketholders' budgets to attend other games by paying through the nose for secondary market cub/brewer game tickets. Yeah-I know 3 different groups that fund their entire season's ticket plan by selling their Cubs/Cardinals games.
  3. I think he just was asking for a break from the extreme negativity not singing his praises. Your reply was quite the dose of sarcasm. if his post got you that wound up maybe you should take a break from posting for a bit.
  4. Ueck is an absolute treasure but he's definitely slipping significantly the past few years. He had no idea what happened on the play.
  5. If by pretty crappy 5 hopper you mean a perfectly placed 2 hopper with some velocity than yeah I agree.
  6. With the injuries to Anderson and Woodruff, plus not knowing about Guerra things are tough to predict. Suter also throws another wrench into the predictions. Nelson Anderson Garza Woodruff (possibly a week or two later depending on injury but I think he'll end up sticking) Davies
  7. Great inning by Barnes! As an aside: i'm always amazed at the amount of available seats at Yankee Stadium/Citi Field. I would think being that they are in an area of 8 million people they would be full all of the time. When I went out there a few years ago we bought tickets really early worrying there wouldn't be any lol

  9. Brewers ushers seem to watch the entire Club level, Field Inf and Field Of like hawks.... many ushers around and check tix before you sit fairly often. They also watch Loge level infield behind the plate (where I usually sit) well. I'm surprised at the lack of ushers in the Loge down the lines and in bleacher area. It can get quite rowdy for some games there, and ushers have seemingly no clue what is going on, partly because one usher is watching 5 sections or so.... not sure how things are handled in the Terrace. I agree they do a pretty good job around the more expensive seats. That was something that was implemented shortly after Mark A. bought the team-at least that's what my memory tells me.
  10. Very nice to get this one as I don't have high hopes for Guerra in Yankee Stadium tomorrow. Great win!
  11. I have no problem with people moving around the upper levels to get some different views as generally those tickets are nearly the same price and there are large empty sections. I do have a problem when I splurge on $100 seats and some people who paid $9 come down and sit near us and I am personally glad that the Brewers have a problem with this too as they should do what they can to protect the people paying those prices-especially the season ticket holders.
  12. I agree with you. People who have no problem sitting in other's seats don't take this into account. There are people that attend games who hate these interactions so much that they would rather go find other seats than confront people sitting in the seats that belong to them.
  13. I think the fact that his agent is involved on this board has had a significant effect on the responses to this. That being said, I think his statement seemed heartfelt and went beyond a lot of the normal ones you see in this situation, so I hope he uses this experience to better himself and do good in the community.
  14. Couldn't have said this better myself.
  15. i believe I saw a chat transcript recently (might have been Keith Law, I know..I know) where he said that he assumed that Stearns was going to make some significant changes to the player development personnel and that he was surprised it hadn't already happened. I have to say that I agree-at some point we have to try something different as the disappointment can't be ALL on the people making drafting decisions.
  16. If you are certain there are guns missing than you should absolutely report that. She'll be forced to explain herself to somebody pretty quickly.
  17. Been a long time since I actually posted but I think I can help you with temp. control. Ok here is a simple way to keep your smoker around 225-250 and you can "set it and forget it" Put two rows of charcoal side by side around 80% of the edge of the grill. Then put one row on top of the two rows. water pan in the middle light about 6-8 pieces of charcoal when they are lit, use them to act as a "wick" and dump them in the grill so they are in a group barely touching one end of your charcoal formation. Pre soak some wood chips and you can put them directly on top of the coals for the first 1/3 (after that the smoke doesn't really matter) This will give you roughly 6 hours around 225-250. There have been many times I've gone outside at 5 am to do this
  18. Literally right across I-94 from Country Springs (On Silvernail Rd) is a mexican place called Plaza Garibaldi. I live a 1/2 mile from there. The food is really, really good. Prices are good too. I have eaten at most good mexican places and this holds up very well.
  19. we know he isn't at the game as he has a career record of 400-2 when he goes
  20. Wooten warming up lol....If a 6 run deficit on a day when we are playing our 20th game in 20 days isn't enough to put Wang in and give the bullpen some much needed rest, than what is enough?
  21. wow another brilliant play out there...Davis almost somehow let that ball behind him which would have probably allowed for an inside the park HR I guess maybe it's better to get all of the misery out in one game though
  22. Agenda for today: Watch the Brewers win while enjoying a few beers Watch Kershaw shut down the Cardinals while enjoying a few beers
