  1. Mike Pennel and Breshaud Breeland making plays in the Super Bowl ... Doh!
  2. I had a two 20 pack tickets living in Minnesota for like 12 years because of the rewards etc but after 2018 they wouldn't let me renew. They called me a scalper and when I pointed out that I typically lost a little bit of money every year so I would be the world's worst scalper they just said that is it how it was. Usually I attended 3 games each year but would use the upgrade system so I would sell 17 games and use 3 but not sit in them. I was told by a different employee they are less interested in having season ticket holders because of the secondary market and the fact that the seats are so cheap it effects walk-up sales. etc. Every year, I contemplate purchasing a Fan’s Choice 20-pack for the sole purpose of getting the SSH rewards and breaking even on the re-sale. Thanks for confirming it is probably not worth the time.
  3. Every pharmacy in my (Wisconsin) town is sold out of surgical masks. I wound up picking up a pack of 3M shop masks at Menards today. Figured they were better than nothing if the Wuhan Virus spreads in the US. I wanted to buy a few higher quality respirator masks at Menards, but they were made in China ... sorta defeats the point.
  4. When someone tries to show you a video that’s not really of interest to you (and you watch to be polite), but then they can’t get it to load so you just wind up standing around.
  5. ABC News interrupted their coverage of the Pro Bowl for a live news report and mentioned they thought all 4 of Kobe’s daughters were with him. If that’s true, it just went from really sad to a tragedy. I can’t imagine the pain for those close to the family.
  6. I dig the Udder Tuggers name and logo and think they should consider making a full-time switch. The Timber Rattlers name has never been that strong, in my opinion. When I think about Green Bay and the Fox Valley, ‘snakes’ probably wouldn’t crack my Top 100 list of things that come to mind.
  7. With Ghostbusters 3 coming out July 10, I’m mildly surprised there wasn’t another Ghostbusters tie-in or theme night announced.
  8. I’m still pleased with this team. I didn’t know what to expect after the back-to-back losing seasons. Now, I feel like a championship is within their grasp if they go all-in for the next two years.
  9. I, for one, am grateful Emmanuel Sanders wasn’t the difference in this game because all we’d hear on local radio is this team failed because BG wasn’t willing to trade a 3rd and a 4th round pick for a 32-year-old WR.
  10. The Packers were among the top teams in ‘beneficiary’ yards all season. What a poor time for things to even out, but they’ve been pretty fortunate to date.
  11. While the Packers have been outscored 51-0 in the first half of their last two NFC Championship Games, they’ve outscored their opponents 41-27 in the second half ... so there’s that.
  12. It’s crazy to think Jimmy G is 4 of 6 for 48 yards and the 49ers have scored 34 points.
  13. I’ve been behind on the DVR. Just saw the Rodgers INT. Maybe I’ll read the rest of the GT during the ‘autopsy’ tomorrow. Just want to say: 1) This team was far better than I thought. Give them credit for that. 2) I didn’t think we’d see another 38-7 type beatdown. Shame on me. 3) Special Teams, Below average for years. 4) The home crowd was awesome. Hardly any Packer fans. Had the Packers been at home, half the ‘die hard season ticket holders’ would have marched their playoff tickets down to Ticketstar for a 20% premium.
  14. If you expect the Packers to lose, then they can only meet or exceed your expectations tonight. Sit back and enjoy. Go Pack Go!
  15. [sarcasm]KC is so good, they can afford to take the first quarter off every week.[/sarcasm]
  16. I don’t get it either. I just don’t see how they get blown out again. I think the 49ers win, but don’t cover. If I were a gambling man, I’d take the points. My pick: 26-20 Niners, but don’t count out the Packers!
  17. Had Ron Wolf communicated his retirement timeline to the organization, I have a hard time believing that Mike Holmgren wouldn’t have waited the additional two years to become HC/GM of the Packers. I suspect retirement wasn’t on Wolf’s mind at the time of Holmgren’s departure ... otherwise it’s hard to explain Holmgren’s defection.
  18. That 1998 playoff game really resonates with me as the end of the 90s Packers teams I loved as a kid. Of course, Holmgren bolting for Seattle a few days later and taking the his whole coaching staff and half the front office with him really brought it all to finality.
  19. Over under on the number of times we’ll have to see Terrell Owens score the game winning TD in the 1998 playoff game? They never mention how Jerry Rice fumbled on that drive with 40 seconds left. It should have been 27-23 Packers and then we’d never have to hear the stupid ‘Owens, Owen, Owens’ clip.
  20. I don’t even think it’s about vaping, but rather the illegal THC-laced cartridges that were causing serious health issues for a small number of people. By no means am I claiming vaping is safe, but your average Juul cartridge wasn’t sending kids to the hospital. Just enforce existing laws.
  21. So you have to be 21 to buy tobacco products now, huh? I find it slightly ridiculous that an 18 year-old can’t smoke a cigar around a campfire with their buddies, but we trust this same person to make other huge choices like borrowing for school, joining the military, getting tattoos, or voting. I understand wanting to keep tobacco out of high schools, so why not make it 19?
  22. Sheesh, at least it's not the morning of the game like Bulaga last week but what do you do to replace a punter? Hopefully we won't need to punt I guess. Unfortunately, he’s also the holder. You’d hate for it to be a close game only to see Crosby shank a FG due to a bad hold.
  23. I see the Rodgers playoff debate both ways. On one hand, the notion that he’s a playoff choker is ridiculous. I suspect it’s mainly parroted by opposing fans trying to get a rise out of Packer fans (and someone always bites). On the other hand, if Rodgers wants to be in the pantheon of quarterbacks, he’s got to win another one. It’s the only way to eliminate all doubt. Can he still be an elite, HOF QB with one title? Of course.
  24. Sheesh, at least it's not the morning of the game like Bulaga last week but what do you do to replace a punter? Hopefully we won't need to punt I guess. They have an open roster spot, if I’m not mistaken. That could be by design, for a situation just like this. Thank goodness. You’d hate to see someone lose their roster spot because the Packers need an extra punter.
  25. Aaron Rodgers played in 16 playoff games from 2009-2016. If we treated his playoff career like a season, his stat line would be as follows: 9-7 Record 36 TDs, 10 INTs 4,458 Yards 99.4 Passer Rating Keep in mind those stats came against 16 playoff teams. Further, 10 games were played on the road. The SOS would be more difficult than any regular season schedule any quarterback has ever faced (and Rodgers essentially still had a Pro Bowl year).
