  1. I agree with the poster above a couple posts. We are in a win now mode. We cant take a step back and just trade away Sheets and who ever else if were out of the race in two months. We need to keep pace and make a push. The thing is it wont happen with this rotation this point in time. To much risk, and too much inexperience with Parra and Villy...
  2. Trading Hart would be a mistake. Hart is the future in CF. We know he can play the position and he has in the past. He has the speed and range, plus he reacts to the ball off the bat as well as I have seen for a guy who hasnt played the position for a extened period of time. Before we signed Cameron that was the speculation going around ST. That Hart would be CF at some point down the road when Laporta came. Laporta was going to move to right and Hart in center. Plus, offensively Hart will be a .300 hitter or better during his career. He has the power as well. He could be a .300, 20+HR, 100RBI guy every year. Not to mention steal 30 bases a year. Hart, Braun, and Prince are the guys that they will build around for the next 5 + years.... I dont see the Brewers trading Hart unless they get some great players in return. I would rather trade a mid-level propect and Weeks who hasn't really proved a whole lot in the 4 years he has been in the Bigs....
  3. What we need to do is make a trade and get another number 1 starter, let Sheets go after the season and go with a new 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation. Was talking to other guys on other sites. Maybe try to get Oswald from Houston? Someone along that line. Take the hit on the payroll to save the season if it starts looking bad and have a guy in place to compliment Gallardo next season... Were going to lose close to 30 million in payroll with Sheets, Cam and Gagne off the books...
  4. What do you think he will get then? He's not going to get more than 18-20 per! He's not Santana... He hasnt proven that he can stay on the mound a whole season... A team will pay him, but not what your thinking.
  5. They will find there swing, I'm not worried at this point. If we were below .500 then it would be a different story...
  6. It all depends on the development of our young arms. If they show they can get the job done then we will let Sheets go. If lets say, only Parra has a good year and Villy struggles then they will make a strong push to keep him a Brewer. Then again, Mark Ant says he will continue to put the money out there to improve the team. And someone stated that we do lose Gagne and Cam's salary at seasons end. That is 17 mil plus right there. Abry will just happen and the Brewers will continue to pay it out season by season until the next guy in the system shows he is ready for the next level. Like Escobar for example, Hardy will be gone if he can start hitting in AAA. The Brewers would be better off giving Sheets a two year extention and throwing some money at him this season to make that work. I say a 5 mil raise this year and then the extention would be around 14 to 18 mil the next two years to keep him here.
  7. Yost will give him a couple more shots at getting himself together. Bush is the only weak spot thus far in the season. If he doesnt find himself he may be headed to the pen. Villy and Parra deserve the starts until one of them fall apart themselves.
  8. That is funny. Fielder will most likely get a day off this week too. So that will be the next blog.
  9. The only show I really watch is Baseball tonight. Those guys are good with the exception of Eric Young. I love Gammons, the guy knows the game and is great to listen to. It doesnt really matter to me when it comes to highlights to be honest. But I find myself watching more espn news than anything.
  10. I wonder what Dave Bush we will see today?
