  1. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/129428143.html Here's what Morgan said happened.
  2. Bill was right on that though. Pujols didn't need to run across the field there. That's what made it into a big deal. If he didn't Nyjer would've walked off and nothing would've happened.
  3. Morgan was definitely provoked there. I bet Carpenter said something to him, possibly Pujols though actually. Idk why he ran across the field. After replays it looks like Pujols caused it.
  4. Uh oh. Morgan was about to go after him there. Good thing Prince grabbed him right away.
  5. Just fantastic McGehee. Now Fielder won't see a strike the rest of the game with Counsell behind him. Oh joy.
  6. I actually like this lineup. The only thing better would be Hairston in at SS, but I'm guessing he's still hurt.
  7. Hi guys, I haven't ever sent anything to get signed before. I'd like to get my SI signed though. How do I go about doing this? Thanks in advance for the help.
  8. http://www.jsonline.com/b...tm_content=jsonline_blog Sounds like good news to me. He'll probably get some pinch-hitting opportunities against Philly, and then hopefully start playing the field some next week. I'd just like to see him back to 100% and playing 9 innings before the playoffs start. Still plenty of time left.
  9. Yep, should be pretty good. Need to see some more details on it first though.
  10. Yeah, I don't get why Gamel isn't coming up. Everyone else I could care less about, because they would serve no purpose. Maybe another pitcher. Gamel would be a solid pinch-hitting option with some power. I don't get why they wouldn't want him in that capacity. What makes even less sense is Roenicke's comment about it. How exactly does he think Dillard is going to help us win games? Help us lose games sure, or eat innings, but win games? C'mon Roenicke. Gamel would have a far better chance of helping us win games the rest of the way.

  12. Just a friendly warning. You may have trouble selling these because that is the same day as the Packers opener.

  15. My guess: McGehee moves to 1B. Yep, I'm starting to think that too. I wouldn't mind it. McGehee would likely look better defensively at 1B than he does at 3B. Either that or he platoons with Gamel at 1B.
  16. Taylor Green with yet another hit, hang his HOF plaque now.
  17. Great article. I'm loving this. We should able to keep Greinke around for a long time. I hope he stays. Having him and Gallardo locked in at the top of the rotation would be outstanding. If have to say that if I saw him, I might say hi but then I'd leave him alone. I think some fans know that he doesn't like to be bothered, but it doesn't surprise me that others don't. I think it's rude to just follow any player around and annoy them. Whenever I see players, I try not to bother them. Although some guys don't mind it.

  19. I agree. I'll admit I've been critical of the lineups most of the year. But now, we have an 8.5 game lead and are playing the Astros. C'mon guys. The reserves need some playing time anyway, and some guys could use days off. I'm not gonna complain today.

  22. I wouldn't say it's "super important" to stay ahead of Arizona. We will without a doubt have to play Philadelphia anyway. A 5-game series might actually be better, but who knows. It would be nice to get home field though, just to have a better chance to win a playoff series.
  23. I don't see any reason to add anyone that isn't currently on the 40-man roster. We just don't really need that many guys sitting on the bench. Gamel, Dillard, Farris, McClendon, Scarpetta, Peralta, and maybe DiFelice are the only options I see. I highly doubt all of them will be called up though. Probably just Gamel and Dillard for sure, and I would think at least one other pitcher. Farris could possibly be added just as a pinch-runner, but we already have Schafer and Gomez and we don't really need another IF.
  24. All good points. People who are freaking out need to calm down. While I didn't want this to happen, it's definitely a reality check. It's also not the end of the world. A 7.5 game lead with 24 games to go still looks good.
