  1. Yeah I saw this. Doesn't really mean much in my opinion. They also offer no explanation with their picks.
  2. We all knew this was the case anyway. It's just something that he shouldn't've said at this point in the season. I wouldn't have a problem if he said that the day our season ends. Right now, it doesn't make much sense. I get that he was honest, but like some people said he should learn how to talk to the media.
  3. http://i52.tinypic.com/219q6x4.jpg I'll use the pic of tonight's walk-off. Only fitting.
  4. I may have tickets to one of the first two games available in the loge. Depends on whether we get home field or not, because I have tickets for the UW/Nebraska game and the Packer game. I would have to sell these for the going rate too. I'll keep you posted when the time comes.
  5. Which means it will end next month. I read that WWE is shortening feuds because they think the attention span of the average fan now is a lot shorter. I think that's stupid. One of my favorite feuds was Sting v. the nWo where Sting went an entire YEAR without saying a word or wrestling in a match. I still think Cena/Punk should've lasted at least another month or two. But HHH/Punk could be solid if they keep Nash out of it. My thoughts exactly. Just hope that I'm wrong and it keeps going for awhile. Also, Nash is supposedly filming a movie and not allowed on WWE TV. So I would think he won't be involved. At least for awhile anyway. Could be wrong though.
  6. That segment to end Raw was pure gold. Loved every minute of it. The beauty of it is that this feud is just getting started. HHH and Punk are just so good that I want it to go on forever. I just hope they don't do something to screw this angle up.
  7. And then...in game 1, Hart leads off and gets on base. TLR puts revenge ahead of getting the the WS, Carpenter plunks Nyjer followed by a 3 run homer by Braun or Fielder. Brewers go on to win the game 3-2 and the NLCS in 7 games http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif . Man would that be classic. And the funny thing is that I wouldn't put it past TLR. He's that big of a moron sometimes.

  9. Quote from the article. "Then, in 2011, with a chance to impress new Brewers manager Ron Roenicke, Money says Gamel reported 25-30 pounds overweight." At 25-30 lbs. overweight I'm pretty sure he wasn't in the shape they wanted him to be in.
  10. The reason I agree with Money is the fact that Gamel hasn't taken any opportunity that has been given to him. He's had multiple shots to make the opening day roster, and has thrown them a way by showing up out of shape and over weight to camp, and then not having the right attitude at the same time. I get he hasn't been in the right situation in any of the times he was recalled to the majors, but we don't know the exact reason for that. What we do know is he threw away chances to stick with the club for full seasons, and that he was a problem at times while with the club. When it comes to guys like Gamel, you are always left to wonder why they can't take their talent and opportunities and run with them. That's my opinion on it at least.
  11. The day I finally see this lineup, I will be a happy man. Hart Morgan Braun Fielder Weeks Green Hairston Lucroy
  12. I do feel fortunate that we got out to the big lead that we did, or we'd be in the exact same situation. I'm just glad we have a 6-game lead with 14 games left, all against mediocre to bad teams. The real problem isn't clinching the division, it's clinching home field in the first round. We only have a .5 lead there.
  13. http://milwaukee.brewers....ey=notebook_mil&c_id=mil Thought this was interesting from Don Money. Doesn't sound like he thinks Gamel deserves to be a major leaguer at this point. I think he's right. Has the same opinion on Gindl.

  15. Man this is a sweet lineup. My fear is that McGehee will go in for Weeks and Green will move to 2B. I would've loved to see Hairston at SS, and I hope he comes in for Weeks and not McGehee.
  16. Not necessarily. Hairston will likely replace Weeks half way through the game. I think he'll get time at SS once Weeks is playing all 9 innings.
  17. Honestly, I can't take a lot of stock in those stats just because of the huge difference between the number of games we've played against each. I think if we ended up playing more winning teams over the course of the year, then our record would look better against them. Although 22-31 is still a little troubling. I'm less worried about the overall number than I am about the recent play against the Cardinals and Phillies. It could just be that we are in a hitting slump right now, and it's not helping to face elite pitching. It would encourage me if we could come out with a good offensive performance in at least one of the next 2 games.
  18. I live in the Milwaukee area, so I'm gonna check a few places around here. If not I'll PM you. That would really help me out, thanks.
  19. I'd also like one if someone is willing to sell. Need an extra without the name on it.
  20. People just left to watch the Packer game. Wouldn't happen on any other day.
  21. Why did they not just use Weeks in that situation? Two on, down 4, with a lefty on the mound. Ok we'll use Wilson instead. Dumb. Why is Weeks activated if Roenicke won't use him in an obvious situation?
  22. Melvin said Rickie will be activated today, so we'll see. Phillies made a similar move with Rollins, who also can't do anything but pinch-hit.
  23. Just out of curiosity, which current players have you guys had success with TTM?
  24. This has the potential to be a huge, long-running angle. I could also see Vince getting involved in the future. I like the idea of HHH and Nash teaming up and running the show, and then Vince coming back and combating them with his own posse led by Punk. That would be pretty cool. I read that Nash is gone because he has to film a movie though and can't be involved in WWE, so his involvement might not come as quickly as some think. Could be a couple months down the road now. Until then they could have someone else return and cost Punk the match at NOC. We'll see what goes down.
  25. I'll be the fourth person to jump in on this.
