  1. I'm happy DiFelice is coming up. He's a good dude. Had some good talks with him at Spring Training. Every day he pitched, he'd come sign autographs for literally everyone who wanted one.
  2. Heck yes, I'd take Keppinger in a new york minute. I hope Melvin gets in on that.
  3. We'd actually need a 5th starter on July 2. Marcum would be eligible on July 3 if he went on the DL. So he'd have to miss 2 starts.
  4. Pretty sure Escobar won't be the piece that we regret trading, but never know I guess. I'm guessing that we won't regret the trade at all though in the end.
  5. I have a feeling tomorrow will suck, but I feel pretty good about Sunday. Wakefield isn't that good, and we have Yo pitching.
  6. How about instead of a loser's mentality, maybe in fact a realistic view of the way the game would likely go given what happened to Marcum in the first? How many times does a starter not make it to the 2nd inning and the team wins a game? That was the reality of the situation. Agreed, and with the guys we all knew we'd have to use in the pen, there's not a whole lot of reason to be optimistic. Need the starting pitcher to go more than 1 inning to win a game. Especially, with the bullpen we have currently.
  7. I guess I forgot to include the Marlins-esque free-falling cardinals, losers of 6 straight now. I suppose if we happen to catch everyone in free-fall mode we'll be fine and dandy. They were one of the hottest teams in baseball when we played them. Their free fall started after we swept them.
  8. Also, Pittsburgh is losing and the Cards are tied.If we don't show some ability to beat someone other than the absolute dregs of MLB (a free-falling Marlins squad notwithstanding) it's not going to matter much. We just swept the Cardinals last weekend.
  9. JC Romero, who was just DFA'd by the Phillies, is a far better option than Herrera.
  10. Really wish Parra and/or Stetter weren't hurt right now.
  11. He sucks against everyone, but then gets Gonzalez to GIDP. Go figure.
  12. Yep, but sadly he was our best option here. Only because Braddock isn't on the roster. Can't say Dillard would've done any better in this spot.
  13. And...nope we're in trouble. Would've been nice to have Braddock on the roster here.
  14. I just hope Herrera can keep the Sox off the board here. Then all we need is a nice shot over the Green Monster and we'll be tied.
  15. Good, Herrera is up now at least. He's probably our best option against these lefties. He's not great, but at least it's not Dillard.
  16. So stupid, but I guessed that would happen. Last guy I wanna see facing lefties. I wish they'd just put in Mitre. Even Herrera I guess, because even though he's not that good he's still a better option against lefties than Dillard.
  17. So, does Estrada have a limit here? He has 63 pitches, and can't really be stretched out anymore.
  18. Seeing as he plays 3B, I'd agree.Um...let's pretend I was talking about someone else. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gifHaha, it's cool. Just giving you a hard time.
  19. I worry about Dillard with all the lefties in their lineup, so I'd go with Mitre. But I'm sure Roenicke will go with Dillard or Herrera.
  20. No one any of us wants to see start in the MLB. I'd take Peralta over anyone in AAA. DiFelice is getting stretched out currently though, and he's been good.DiFelice is a ROOGY unless he's magically able to get lefties out now. The most likely scenario is Estrada goes back to the rotation and they call up another reliever. It could be DiFelice, but then we'd have 2 right handed specialists and 1 left handed specialist... not exactly optimum bullpen configuration. It would be funny if they called up Braddock. Seeing as they just demoted him for disciplinary reasons. Problem with Estrada is he can probably only cover 4 innings at this point, but I guess if they call up McClendon he could cover some innings too.
