    After seeing today's lineup, I have to wonder if Roenicke was dropped on his head as a baby or something.

    Seeing as we're facing a lefty, something must be wrong with Hart. I can see not hitting Morgan 2nd against the lefty though. He's .200 in his career against lefties, which is why he normally wouldn't even be in the lineup. This lineup is very, very bad though.

    Wow. Seeing that Fielder was at 3rd when Ross got the ball, there's no way in heck I would've sent him. So stupid. I didn't know where he was initially. That's just a terrible decision. Not that Betancourt would've gotten a hit, but at least Morgan would lead off the 9th then.

    I like this lineup. Can't take Hart out of the 2 hole at this point. Maybe if McGehee keeps struggling he can hit 5th, but I don't see Roenicke making that move yet.

    Wins don't matter in AAA. They play who the major league team wants to play. Kotsay played over in Boggs in the majors, so why wouldn't they play him over him in AAA, lol. If the outfield got crowded, guys like Carroll would just be let go, or Gindl could be demoted to AA for playing time. Katin is obviously never going to be anything but a AAAA type player, so playing him doesn't matter. Reed will still play when Boggs is there. Idk why who would play and who wouldn't in AAA means anything anyway. Kotsay is a better player right now that most of the guys in AAA, or he wouldn't be in the MLB anymore. I know he's not as good as Roenicke seems to think he is, but he's fine as a lefty PH and occasional starter off the bench. He fits that role well. Nieves suck and so does Almonte. They have no place on a major league roster. This topic has been addressed in multiple other threads anyway.

    Almonte would DH, Nieves would share starts with Kottaras, Kotsay would start over Boggs or Katin. And Reed currently starts quite a few games in the AAA OF. Your point really isn't relevant there, but I share your frustration nonetheless.

    Morgan isn't in Roenicke's dog house at all. When he came back from the first injury he was back in the starting lineup, hitting 2nd, right away. I'm pretty sure he values him as a player. Sure he lovess Gomez, but he doesn't dislike Morgan. I'm just saying that Morgan and Gomez should be in a straight platoon, but Roenicke will find a way to justify playing Gomez against righties at times. Morgan will get playing time, there's no doubt about that.

    I feel bad for Boggs. He's a better player than pretty much everyone on our bench, but gets a raw deal. I guess I can understand keeping Kotsay and Counsell over him, but there's no way that Wilson deserves his roster spot. That is a complete joke. And now I'm sure Rivera will get outrighted instead of Nieves. I don't know why we need crappy players like Nieves and Wilson on the major league roster. Wilson at AAA would be fine, but we don't need him on the roster. Boggs is a better pinch-hitting option by far. Plus, he was the only player with decent pop on our bench.

    Well, Bailey did a horrible job trying to save the Reds bullpen today. Only lasted 4 innings. Good news for us.

    I really don't think he did it to paint himself in a better light. It said he specifically didn't report it to the media. If he wanted more people to know about it, he would've done that. I really think he just did it out of kindness.

    In other news, Fontenot also went on the DL for the Giants. Along with Darren Ford and Posey, that is 3 guys all at once for them. I guess they've been hit with the injury bug.

    What the heck was wrong with that slide? That was just a clean feet first slide. He could've ran him over if he wanted to. Just because his foot was there blocking the plate doesn't mean he can't slide into it.

    I'd just sign Branyan and be done with it for now. Maybe we'll get a SS closer to the deadline.

    There's really no reason why Morgan shouldn't always start against RHP and Gomez against LHP. But I'm sure Roenicke will try to find one.

    Wow, that is terrible for Posey and the Giants. Sad to see something like that happen to any player, especially someone so young and promising like Posey. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.

    Counsell isn't the kind of guy that would leave his team mid-season. If he's gonna retire, it'll be after the season is over.

    Very nice of Bonds to do that. Classy move right there. It would be nice if more athletes did stuff like that.
