    Crap, this is why we only have one CG this year. Roenicke refuses to push his starters at all. Marcum could've finished the game, or at least tried to. I have faith in Ax though.

    Pretty good recovery from Marcum. 44 pitches in the first 2 innings, and 37 in the next 3. 81 pitches through 5 innings isn't horrible.

    We can just go with a bench of Kotsay, Counsell, Branyan, Gomez/Morgan, and Rivera/Nieves. That would be fine with me.

    I think they stay on the 7-day DL for 14 days, after which they get transferred to the regular 15-day one.Yeah, that's it. Either way, he's on the 15-day DL by now.

    Why? Gamel won't be our starting 1B until next year anyway. 3TO would only be here the rest of this year.

    Actually he has been transferred to the 15-day DL. It's an automatic move after the 7 days are up.

    I think we should definitely pick him up. We could use some actual pop off the bench. We probably won't do it, but it would be cool if we did.

    Sigh of relief that Braun is playing, and Rivera over Nieves makes me incredibly happy. This seems to be the nail in the coffin for Nieves.

    I was very sad to hear this. I heard he had a heart attack while driving though, so it makes you wonder what the cause of death is. Either way, wrestling just lose another great one. My prayers go out to him and his family and friends. RIP Macho Man.

    It's a big pet peeve of mine when fans boo the intentional walk when it's in an obvious situation. I can see it like when it was Bonds, and they just did it because they didn't wanna face him, but not in a situation like this.

    Great, now we have Kotsay as the extra infielder instead of Braun. I guess he can handle it though as a part-time 1B.

    Crap, this isn't good. It would be a shame to see Estrada pick up a loss here with how well he has pitched lately. It's also a shame to lose a game like this, period.
