  1. There is absolutely no doubt Yuni would have had that ball - and how does a better short stop get to the ball on the SS side of the bag....... don't follow that one at all. If a ball is hit up the middle, it's up the middle - a better defensive shortstop doesn't change that. Furthermore, Weeks made a terrible play - let's be honest here. Really getting ridiculous at this point, people need to quit trying to scapegoat Yuni for everything. I guess McGehee and Mitre tossing the ball around today were Yuni's fault as well............. There are certain slower bouncing balls up the middle that better defensive shortstops with good range would get to. Otherwise I would agree with everything you said, and the play with Weeks last night had nothing to do with Yuni no doubt.
  2. And Norris is finally gone. Hopefully Braun and Fielder take it to Fulchino here.
  3. He might've broken some ribs on that. Then you gotta worry about a punctured lung. I know people who have broken ribs and had then puncture a lung before. That's scary stuff. Although is that happened here, they would likely be trying to rush him off the field. Not sure though.
  4. Yep, the fact that he is in bad shape meant that he couldn't get to the ball in time, which left him in bad shape again.
  5. Maybe if Lee was faster, he could've easily gotten to that ball and there wouldn't've been a collision. He looks to be in pretty bad pain though. Hope he's ok.
  6. Well, too bad Norris didn't have to leave the game there. Hopefully he won't be affective now.
  7. And that's about the same time Gomez will hit the bench.
  8. If Narveson hadn't started so well, that's probably what would've happened. But he started hot, so they'll probably stick with him.
  9. Well, this game is over. Someone finally hits the porch with a cheap homer.
  10. Apparently he didn't get his foot on the base when he tagged up.
  11. Wow. He actually did leave slightly early. Great call.
  12. Holy crap Gomez actually threw it to second base. And haha, Wallace didn't get back to the base.
  13. Sure seems that way, but it's only once through the lineup. It still baffles me that we get handled by average pitchers like him a lot.
  14. I won't say anything else. It just pisses me off when people say that he's a good SS when he's proven he isn't. Including Bill and Craig.
  15. Totally agree. His range is really what kills him as a SS.
  16. No, he doesn't make all the plays he needs to make. He misses so many balls in the hole and up the middle that he should get to it's unreal. He does randomly come up with gems like that, and shows flashes, but he's really not good. He's already proven that over his career.
  17. Betancourt is so horrible defensively, but then he goes and randomly makes plays like that once in awhile. And that causes idiots like Bill to say that he's impressive defensively, and in fact has impressed everyone. I guarantee that isn't the case. That was a very nice play though.
  18. No, Rickie must keep the dreads.
  19. Haha, I guess he means business now that he's ready to go.
  20. I'm sure he needs a day off. Didn't expect him to play everyday right away.
  21. I'm so pumped to see Greinke pitch his first home game on May 9. It's gonna be electric in Miller Park. At least within the next week we'll have everyone back except Saito. Morgan's coming back May 3, and Roenicke said Parra is just about ready as well.
  22. Haha yeah, the bosses better let him pitch on Wednesday though. Don't piss off Greinke, lol. Don't piss off me either, I have tickets for May 9.
  23. Estrada's last start will be Tuesday because Greinke is slotted to start Wednesday. That's the only reason Estrada needed to make one more start. We needed a 5th starter Tuesday, and Greinke isn't slated to come back until a day later.
