So dumb that Kotsay is starting in RF. I get that Hart wouldn't be able to play both games yet, but why not just start Gomez then? At least Gomez can field. I can already predict the lineup for Game 2. Weeks Gomez Braun Fielder McGehee Hart Betancourt Nieves Greinke. Same junk. I would've gone with Weeks Morgan Braun Fielder McGehee Betancourt Lucroy Gomez in Game 1 and Weeks Counsell Braun Fielder McGehee Hart Gomez Nieves in Game 2, or vice versa.

Roenicke probably doesn't wanna mess up the new rotation. He want to split the lefties, and if he started Marcum today, Wolf would go tomorrow, and then Gallardo wouldn't be able to start until Saturday. They want him to slot in between Wolf and Narveson.

Well, seeing as he had Morgan in the lineup in CF in his first day back, I think he wants to give Morgan a shot to take his job anyway. -
I don't think most people were making fun of it. They were just saying it was a weird thing to go on the DL for, or that it was made up, before the details were known. Now that everyone knows the situation, no one would make fun of it. This is a serious issue, and I hope he gets things worked out soon.

I would love Lopez to replace Almonte, but it won't happen.

Looking at the advanced radar, it seems like the rain will be pretty scattered, and mostly done with by game time. I think they'll get the game in, maybe with a short delay at the beginning.

I think it's legit too, just because he has been pitching well. It's just weird, because I don't think anyone has ever seen something like this happen before.

Who's more valuable: Boggs vs Green

There's no question that Green is useless, but he'll still be kept. Boggs will go for Morgan and Estrada will go for Greinke to stay stretched out. The only chance Green goes is when Almonte returns, and at that point it's between him and Kintzler. I really hope that Roenicke and Melvin come to their senses and get rid of Green instead of Kintzler, but the easy move is to option out Kintzler. -
Yep, Yo isn't going anywhere. Just wait and see Estrada get hammered tomorrow. I think people's opinions would change very quickly. Estrada hasn't had enough starts for me to think he'd even be anything above a decent 5th starter over a full season.

I agree. No way it happens. It took the Brewers forever to make that move with a much worse pitcher in Jeff Suppan. There's no way it happens with Gallardo. -
Gallardo isn't going anywhere people. Look how long it took to act on a crappy pitcher like Suppan by putting him on the fake DL. This is Yovani Gallardo. Won't happen.

Also, Estrada is likely going down for Greinke. I would guess we're waiting until Almonte returns to go back to a 12-man staff then. Stupid to keep an 8-man bullpen and to keep Almonte. And as was just said, Rogers is hurt again. Apparently caused by a virus.

Estrada will go to AAA to stay stretched out. Doubt there will be any debate by RR and DM on this either.

Yeah, but I'm sure we are just as prepared for a terrorist attack, if not more, than we were before. This is a very good thing for the war on terrorism.

I think people celebrating in front of the White House is a little over blown, but hey I guess I can't blame them. This is a big day in US History. I'm glad he's finally dead, because that pretty much kills Al Qaida. That is a huge step towards defeating terrorism. Bin Laden being dead is really a symbol for killing a big part of terrorism. Proud to be an American!

Well, after Morgan went down, I figured Gomez would stay in the 2 hole until Hart was comfortable at the plate. That hasn't happened yet. Morgan would've taken starts away from Gomez already if he wasn't hurt, I'm pretty positive about that.

Very true. Hopefully Gamel can learn to scoop balls, because that alone will make our defense a lot better. I think people fail to realize the importance of having a good defensive 1B, and tend to blame everything on the rest of the infield.
