I'd have to agree with this. Having watched him in games when he's pitching great, and games when he's pitching horrible, it's pretty obvious that this is the case.
He's had at least 200 k's the last 2 years...pretty sure he has an out pitchYep, he is just really struggling with his control right now. That's all it is. When he can spot his fastball he is dominant.
Yo is definitely our worst starting pitcher so far this year. I'm hoping he's just having a bad month, which could be the case. He better turn it around soon. He's just seemed to have command issues his last couple starts. Can't help but notice the timing with week between starts he had to start this bad streak for him.
It's for concussions only. And also, no Almonte was ever going to play IF anyway. He was really there as a righty pinch-hitter, which Boggs can do now.
Why is Braddock on the bubble just because he was used to pitch 2 innings? That only tells me that he's seen as an arm that can be used for multiple innings, and not just against lefties. I don't think it affects his roster status. We didn't have many guys out there who could throw multiple inning in that situation. I think his spot is pretty solid. If Stetter could get us two innings, then he would've been used in your scenario. But he can't.
I wouldn't be surprised if Counsell was the only backup infielder for most of the season. Unless one of our starting infielders gets hurt for an extended period of time.
Counsell may be the only backup infielder for most of the season. Almonte was likely gone anyway when Morgan or Hart came back. I don't think we'll add another infielder to the roster unless we find one via trade.
Scary occurrence. Hopefully Almonte is ok. Not the best way to get Hart back on the roster, but it would be nice to see an appearance from him tonight. Get well soon Almonte.
I agree as far as activating Hart just as a pinch-hitter. I think we could afford to drop a pitcher. We didn't really have to kill the pen last night. Just could've optioned out Kintzler because he threw a few innings last night.
They were planning to activate him Wednesday, but he was supposed to get a few AB's in Nashville today. However, the game got rained out, so they just brought him back to Milwaukee and gave him the day off.
