Melvin did release this statement about the release of Suppan: “Jeff has always been a true professional. He gave his best effort to the organization, whether it was on the field or in the community. I am confident that he can return to a starting rotation with another organization. We wish Jeff and his family nothing but the best.” Haha, fat chance of that happening. Unless KC signs him, because Yost would surely make him a starter.

Yeah, Witrado is just flat out against Manny. I don't get why he has to always convey it in his articles though. C'mon, the guy pitched a great game. Just give him a break and recognize him for that.

Idk why everyone is so concerned with Axford being in here. He only threw 27 pitches yesterday, and hadn't thrown since Wednesday before that. Plus, we have an off-day tomorrow.

Why is Macha pulling Loe now? I'm not understanding his moves with the 'pen this game.

Why not just have him actually throw a bullpen then? I'd rather have that then him coming in with the bases loaded in a one run game.

Just so everyone knows, Heether isn't on the A's 25 man roster, he is in the lineup for the Sacramento River Cats their AAA affiliate as we speak.

The only chance he's really had to make this move was the package that brought in Sabathia. Nobody wanted to trade pitching for Hardy or Hart and we haven't really had another trade chip since the team is still in the middle of rebuilding. I don't disagree with you that the problem is with the pitching, I just think your expectations of how to acquire that pitching are off. Prince Fielder is a pretty nice trade chip if you ask me.

Well, by the start of next week they'll have to activate Riske and Gamel off the 60-day DL, so this will likely be one of those spots. Hopefully the other is Suppan, but I'd guess Zaun to 60-day DL and Braddock demoted if Riske is added to the active roster.

Somehow I have a feeling that this is Macha playing matchups again, which makes no sense when it comes to starting pitching.

Idk if this has been said anywhere, but I saw that Lucroy will no longer catch Wolf. Maybe Cappy is his new assignment, with possibly Parra as well.
