  1. Well, CM Punk said in an interview today that he won't be in the Rumble match, but he put over Ziggler. All signs point to him beating Ziggler, so I doubt he will be in the match. I think the anyone can enter thing is getting a little misconstrued. I doubt we'll see Punk or Bryan in the Rumble match.
  2. Yeah, I was just throwing it out there. Doubt Ziggler will win. But maybe Punk wins the Rumble, but then drops the title to Jericho at Elimination Chamber, so he has to use his shot to get his own title back. I really hope this swerve isn't something like that, but it just seems like it might be because of the whole anyone can enter thing.
  3. What about this? A current champ wins, but then proceeds to lose their title at Elimination Chamber. They then go on to challenge for the other title. Not sure though, because a current champ winning seems too obvious with them pushing this angle. What if Punk drops the title to Ziggler, wins the Rumble, then Jericho wins the title at EC, and Punk challenges him for the title?
  4. Keppinger just signed with the Rays. Doubt we'll be in on Theriot, which in my opinion is a good thing. I don't see any signings happening other than a few more minor league deals with invites to spring training.
  5. Since everyone is eligible maybe Mick Foley goes the Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love route again. That would be pretty funny. If #30 automatically wins I could see it being Jericho to go along with his storyline right now. Or what if the twist is the WWE or WHC winning the Rumble since everyone is eligible to enter. Or maybe JL wins, although it's been done before with Vince. Or HHH could win and say screw it I want Taker at Mania, and the title spots will both be decided at Elimination Chamber.
  6. If they do that #30 automatically wins thing I'd be pissed. That would be really stupid. The Hart and Luger thing was a lot better idea. The twist better be something completely different.
  7. i have been hearing the opposite, taker/hhh #3 and punk/jericho They are now bouncing around the opposite because they feel too many people are expecting the matches you just mentioned. I'm expecting they'll stick with the original plan though. Just makes a lot more sense.
  8. I agree, I really don't understand it either. If he came at a bargain it does make sense. It's just Melvin doing what he can to improve the team. Not sure if Narveson in the bullpen again is a good thing though. But with out lack of a reliable lefty in the pen, I can see where Melvin is going with this.
  9. This is classic HHH pushing his way into a main event match at Mania. Really lame. I'm sick of it happening. I'd rather see Punk/Jericho or even Punk/Ziggler. Then I'd rather see Taker face a younger guy too. I just don't see what they'll come up with to make this happen if that's what they wanna do. I just think something fresh will be more compelling than seeing HHH wrestle Punk again. Same goes with the Taker match. I'd rather see something new.
  10. http://msn.foxsports.com/...ls-Indians-market-012512 Rosenthal article mentioning Brewers interest. So it's legit. We'd replace Narveson if Oswalt came at a cheap enough price.
  11. No matter which way they go, I could definitely see HHH turning heel on Monday. Would make sense whether he faces Punk or Taker. Maybe they'll go with another version of the Corporation, with Chris Jericho, Stephanie, HHH, and JL. Something like that. I don't know. Now I'm kind of intrigued by all of the possibilities there are.
  12. Nope, I've seen Taker/HHH and Jericho/Punk all along. HHH already cut a promo after TLC basically as a precursor to another match with Taker. It could happen I guess though. With HHH getting involved with the Punk/JL storyline coming up here. Not sure how that makes much sense though. I'd much rather see a Jericho/Punk match. Taker/HHH is kind of lame, but Taker in any match will be pretty lame at this point. He's in no shape to go anymore. It would be a waste of Jericho in my opinion. HHH wanting to steal the spotlight by wrestling Punk wouldn't surprise me though. Although I guess the same goes if he wrestles Taker, so he wins either way. HHH winning the Rumble would be out of left field, and surprise people.
  13. Player of the Year: Rickie Weeks - I think he'll finally get a full year out of the leadoff spot and really step up. Lots of homers, lots of runs driven in. Pitcher of the Year: Yovani Gallardo - He'll be the ace, and compete for the NL Cy Young. Rookie of the Year: Mat Gamel - He'll step up and prove all his doubters wrong. Finally play to his potential. Most Improved Player: Mat Gamel - Will how much he struggled in the little time he's had, how can he not become the most improved? Surprise Player: Brandon Kintzler - Stays healthy and takes on a big role in the pen. Disappointment: Zach Braddock - Despite all his potential, continues to struggle and Parra takes the lefty role in the pen. Questions Answered: 1) Who will get the first contract extension?Zack Greinke. He wants to be here. Doug will get it done. 2) Who will be the first traded away or released(off the expected 25 man roster)? George Kottaras. Maldonado takes over the backup catcher role. 3) What position in the NL Central will the Brewers finish? 1st Record: 93-69
  14. It was a great 6 year relationship. Lots of fun times.Being happy Prince happened is a great way to put it. I think everyone should feel this way too. I know I do.
  15. I agree, I loved the long feuds they used to have. Made me really get interested in the storylines. Not sure why Vince thinks fans dislike longer feuds. If it's between the right guys, long feuds are tremendous. Such as this Punk/Laurinaitis feud. This should last as long as the McMahon/Austin feud, but it won'y Chances are they'll kill it by firing Laurinaitis. Won't necessarily be next week when HHH is there, but I'm sure it'll happen. I agree that some feuds have run their course after a few months, but top feuds should usually last longer than that. The Miz and R-Truth feud could've been good too, but it seems like that has been killed prematurely as well. There might be a reason for that, such as they have something bigger for The Miz, but jobbing him to Truth doesn't doesn't help with that.
  16. Didn't see this coming at all. But I'm pretty happy with it. I wanted him to go to an AL team that I didn't hate. Now I can still pull for him. Happy for him. He got the money he wanted, and I'm sure he'll be happy to erase his father's memory from Detroit.
  17. That whole Cena/Ryder/Kane thing was just terrible. The angry face he made was absolutely horrible. He really can't be a heel if that's the best he can do, lol. Still loving the Jericho stuff. I honestly think Miz is entering the Rumble at #1 for a reason. He may not win, but he'll put on a good showing. I don't think he's getting buried by any means. It was very odd for him to job clean to Truth, but I'll wait to see where this goes before I decide it was a bad idea. Loved the Punk/Laurinaits stuff too as usual. The GTS at the end was outstanding.
  18. This is really sad. Irwin was the voice of all Wisconsin sports back in the day. Will never forget his voice. He was fantastic. Thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.
  19. The guy that posted that has no credibility at all. Just read through his twitter feed. He falsely reports things all the time. Basically he just tries to jump the gun on things, hoping they end up being true so he can take credit for breaking the story. He reported a week ago that Braun was suspended, which was before he even had his hearing. The guy is stupid. This will probably happen eventually, but not right now. Boras will take his time, and try to squeeze every penny out of them.
  20. Greinke hands down. Marcum is the kind of pitcher who doesn't project well a few years down the road (See Jeff Suppan). I'd extend him for maybe 2 years, and that's it. Don't think that's an option though. Greinke is the the smarter investment if we're looking at a 6-year deal or something like that. He's far more talented, and could be a great pitchers throughout that entire contract. Being more expensive isn't an issue in my opinion. Having Greinke and Gallardo both locked done for the next 5 years or so would be huge. The rest of the rotation can be filled in hopefully with guys like Peralta and Fiers.
  21. Not the Mississippi River, the actual state of Mississippi where he is from and lives.
  22. There is no point at all. Never has been a point actually. He just continually buries people. Doesn't bring anything to the table.
  23. I would say there's a good chance that someone from Smackdown wins the Rumble, and Bryan drops the title before Mania. I honestly don't see Orton winning it. Seems way too predictable to have him win in his hometown. Vince usually avoids letting stuff like that happen. I could see him winning the title at Elimination Chamber though and facing the Rumble winner. It seems like Bryan is turning heel though, which makes me think he has a chance to keep the title. Personally, I'd love to see Cody Rhodes win the Rumble even though I know it's very unlikely to happen. I agree with you that Henry needs to be in the title match at Mania. He's the only heel on Smackdown that is completely over. Not sure what else he'd do at Mania if he wasn't in the WHC match. He'd be horrible in MITB. I'd rather see Bryan in MITB after dropping the title.
  24. Yeah, I wasn't a fan of 25 at all, except for the Michaels/Taker match. 26 was a better show in my opinion. Although neither was that great. The booking was just off. Thankfully 27 picked it up. I think this year's show will be fantastic. At least from the speculated matches. Rock/Cena Y2J/Punk. Hoping for Orton/Barrett. Not sure what the WHC match will be. Also, MITB is rumored to be back which will help the show a lot. That match was missed last year.
  25. I'm gonna have to check that DVD set out. Sounds great. I have seen the '92 Rumble. It was fantastic as you said. I decided to re-watch all of the Rumble matches awhile back. I'm currently on the 2007 match. Another one of my favorites was 2001 when Kane had all those eliminations. It would be cool if Kane finally got a Rumble victory, but I know it won't happen. It was funny seeing him come in as Isaac Yankem in I believe it was the 1996 Rumble match. The guys been in every Rumble match since then. Ridiculous.
