  1. http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m538/lodiness/DSC02688.jpg Anyone know who's auto this is? Says it should be Nick Collins, doesn't look it to me, but I'm not familiar with Packer Auto's. What number was Butler? Also, how much is something like this worth, no COA, signed in person. Thanks in Advance
  2. I remember when I used to live in Oshkosh, the pawn shop on Main St. Had a bunch of lp's. Don't know if it's still there or not. I'd check there if you're looking cheap. I believe you live in the Appleton area right. If not, and you don't mind spending a little bit, they can order pretty much whatever you want at the Exclusive Company, although sometimes the help snags them up on you even though you have to put down a deposit. Also, there are a bunch of places online. It just depends what you want to pay.
  3. If your looking for something smaller with lots of room, the highlander is a good choice. They have a third row, that folds flat to give you the extra space, and second row captains chairs that are real comfi. My sister in law has had about 4 or 5 of them and she loves them. Think she gets about 26 highway. Another choice that is really sweet are the Acura MDX's. I've only driven one with the technology package, but in my opinion it's like a sports car in a SUV's body. They also have the third row that folds down flat. Very nice ride.
  4. when I was a kid, I had a huge hat collection, everytime my dad had a rep come in, he got me one, not to mention the baseball/basketball/football/racing hats. Total I believe I used to have close to 300 or so. Some of the older trucker hats I had were pretty sweet, but they just take up too much space. Think I took like5-6 garbage bags to goodwill one day stuffed full of them. I did keep a few of my fav's, but I'm glad that faze of my life is over.
  5. If she bought a newer car, yes, I could see paying for the whole thing. She bought a car that was over 10 years old. These things do come up, and there is no way of predicting them. I would just like to ask a question. If she bought it from a private individual, how much would they help her repair it? Answer..none, she would be [out of luck]. You can't tell that a car is going to break down, any more than you can tell that your wife is going to cheat on you, if the place did the inspections that they should (I don't know how MN law is). You would have to be a psychic. Some places do sell crap, and they give the industry a bad name. Not every dealer is out to rip people off. (removed acronym with cuss --1992)
  6. If that is how you think it works, call up their service department, ask for a quote anonymously, and you'll know if they are screwing you. Even call a different dealer, find out what their labor rate is and compare the two. If that is what happened to me I would be irrate. That is not how most places operate though.
  7. It all depends on how the warranty is worded. At our lot on certain models we put on a similar warranty that covers virtually the same parts. Our warranty is 50/50 in our shop. Just because they offered to pay 50% right away doesn't necessarily mean that they think they should pay for the whole thing. If it is a new customer, they may be trying to build a repore with her, so she leaves with a better experience than thinking "I just got screwed", and possibly purchasing from them again. Just curious what type of dealership was it? I think that they are trying to make it right the best they can. This seems fair and reasonable. Did she take the vehicle to another service center to have it checked before she bought it? That is fairly common practice. I hope everything turns out well for her.
  8. I remember about 2 weeks ago, my bank had a 15 year fixed for about 3.85%. They are a family owned bank, so you actually get to talk to the person that makes a decision on the mortgage. I originally got my loan through WHEDA, and Amcore kept on jacking me around. Finally just called up WHEDA (who my uncle works for) and asked what was up. They said it was approved for over 2 weeks. Some of the banks I've dealt with seem to just jack you around, and never give you a real answer. If you're in the Madison area, I would definitely check out the Bank of Prarie du Sac. Had some sort of account there since I was in about 8th grade, great to work with, and they are competitive on all types of rates.
  9. I'll Second Progressive Field, and I've always had a good time at the new Busch Stadium
  10. I've done that before. I have a 3 car unattatched garage, no insulation/heater. Really messed up the paint. I was using some name brand paint too
  11. Hey Everyone, Just thought that I would drop a line, and tell you about the scooter sale that we're having right now. Here's a link to craigslist add. http://madison.craigslist.org/mcy/1942520102.html . If you want more pictures just drop me a line, and I can e-mail them to you. Each new one comes with a 2 year factory warranty. These are some good prices for new scooters. Perfect for the college kid, or the person who needs one to bum around town. The used Kymco scooter is one that we sold to a local person new, and bought back from them. It's in excellent shape. Let me know if you want any more information. 12. The pool party at MGM on Saturday's I think is pretty cool to for something to do during the day
  13. Not really a classy place, but there was a pretty cool cover band at Excaliber back in June. Very casual atmosphere. I'd ask the concierge when you get to the hotel, they'll usually point you in the right direction. if you get a chance go see "Love" at the Mirage I believe. Haven't seen it live, but watched a awesome documentary on it. Looks great, it's to all Beatles music. I've seen some other Cirque de Sole stuff and it was amazing. Tried to see it the last 2 times I was there and just couldn't fit it in. Great part about vegas, there's always something to do.
  14. Working on our youtube channel at work, and I was wondering how you get a blown up version of your logo on top? Been trying to figure it out, and I don't know if I'm just blind, or what the deal is. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
  15. I'll try that, it's my tenants remote, so I don't know if they check to see if it sticks
  16. Just happens randomly throughout the day. I've tried adjusting the tension sensors, but it will stop for a month or two, and then it started again.
  17. So, my garage door just randomly opens for no reason. Thought that I had it fixed, but it still pops up occasionally. I don't think that I have the same frequency since I didn't have this problem for abou 6 months ago
  18. I wouldn't be scared about buying a Saturn either. Federal Law states that they have to make parts for 10 years after the last model year.
  19. You really can't go wrong with either one. For what it's worth, I sell used cars, and I would take either one, depends on what you like. In my opinion, it is what you want for styling, also for some reason for what I've come accross, a decent Honda is a bit harder to come by at a good price than a Toyota. To me the recall thing is way overblown. I'm not going to rag on Foreign or Domestic Autos, every company has there problems. You'll get around 36mpg highway with either one. Price wise, your probably in the ballpark of one that is 3-5 years old. If it helps you out at all, I have a 2010 on the lot now for $14,295 with 27,000 miles on it. Just a little something that you can compare numbers too.
  20. I sprayed the mixture of 8oz Caster oil, 8 oz dish soap, and 1 gallon water around all of my buildings, and my property and the little suckers were gone in about a day and a half. They just up and left.
  21. I'd have to disagree, I think the print looks pretty dumb. Looks like a 5 year old could have done most of it. Just my opinion though. To each his own.
  22. The tree James Dean hit when he died ?
  23. I've used the plastic sleeves, but the old window stickers are a lot smaller than the ones today, and they fit rater loosly, and slide around a bit.
  24. Hello, I'm putting together a binder for my dad's 1963 Ford Fairlane that he has. Great collector car with only 17,600 original miles, and he's the 2nd owner. Anyway, he has the original window sticker, bill of sale, and some other original things that came with it. I'm putting together a binder with photos and this stuff. Does anyone know of a way to "Mat" the window sticker and some other things without using glue/pin's/adhesives? Don't want to ruin the paperwork since it is in pretty much perfect condition too, so you can read both sides if need be. Any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance
