  1. How does the Hall have character when a bunch of writers can vote a guy in just because they like him. There are voters who won't give a guy a vote, just because Babe Ruth wasn't a unanimous decision. If players were rude to the media, they don't make it. Do you think that Sheffield will get in? According to his numbers he should. Then you have to wait to be voted in my your peers (Rice). It's just a screwy system to me. Why can't they just go by the numbers adjusted to the era that the guy played in? To me it seems like there is no clearly defined way to get into the hall.
  2. Nyko's was the best, especially at bar time.
  3. Hit up the Wild Animal Park, it's way better. Other than that, don't know if there is a Wahoo's down that way, but if there is hit it up. The best Fish Taco's around. I think there is a couple in So Cal, the only one that I've been to is up by Huntington Beach I believe. I'd almost check around and see if there is any Surf Competitions around there. Those are pretty chill, When I went to the US Open Surf Championship it had a sweet concert after it ended. It's kind of hard to explain what they're like, but they're a good time. Those guy's do some pretty crazy stuff. Have a good time, Cali is awesome. I second the thought of Hennessey's for lunch in the LA area. Huntington Beach is pretty cool.
  4. If you use the yogurt, be sure to get Greek Yogurt if you can find it, it has a little different flavor than regular yogurt. I make mine with Cucumber (remember to take out the seeds), Greek Yogurt, a little bit of sour cream, garlic, salt, white pepper, and a little bit of tumeric. That's how I used to make it when I worked in restraunts.
  5. Well, I've pretty much lost interest in collecting bobbles, so I'm going to try to liquidate my collection. I'm collecting more Autographed baseballs and bats now, so I'm hoping to do that, although I will consider cash considerations. Here's what I have. 1. Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn Bobble from the game this year in Cleveland. 2. The Hot Dog bobble from 2006 3. 2006 Robin Yount - The 1970's uniform 4. Pat Richter - no box 5. Bernie and Fang from the T-Rats game this year 6. Ryan Braun this year - NO CALL BUTTON 7.2008 Prince Fielder 8. Trevor Hoffman - this year. 9. 2006 Damian Miller If you have any questions, you can PM me. the balls that I have are I would be looking for a Hardy ball or bat,, or anything else that you think might spark my interest, could do a bobble or two and cash for the right piece. As far as just buying them, shoot me an offer. I live just north of Madison, but I can make arrangements for pick-up in Milwaukee, or I can ship if you pay with paypal.
  6. We have control of Prince through the 2011 season, correct? I've been battling this guy at work about this all morning. Is there a good website that has contract info that I can show him?
  7. I also liked the first episode, thought that it laid a lot of groundwork for the rest of the season. Also watched Hung. Thought in the first episode that it might have some potential, but it is quickly loosing my interest.
  8. To tell you the truth, It's probably not worth fixing even with a used Transmission, by the time you even pay for a used one, the cost will probably be over half the value of the car. I say if you can afford to get something else do it. I would have a tough time dumping that much money in a car that old with that many miles on it. I'm also selling my car, a 2007 Mazda 6 if your interested. Edit: I'm guessing it's going to cost over $1500 even with a used transmission, based on what I've seen at my dad's car dealership
  9. How would this really help this area when a lot of those jobs I'm guessing really require more than a high school education? In those 600 jobs is that including hiring doctors, nurses, etc.?
  10. Wow, that is pretty interesting considering the big push for a Big Ten Hockey Conference. Little side note for the outdoor game in February. There will be a tailgate party in the Fieldhouse, with beer and food. Also, the "beer garden" (fieldhouse) will be open through the end of the second period. It should be interesting. It' ll be free beer for the tailgate, and then switching over to charging for beer at a certain time.
  11. I went to the game and got one, would be willing to trade for auto's, I collect mostly balls and bat's right now. I also have some other bobbles that I could throw in for something that had greater value. If your interested shoot me an e-mail, and I can get a list together for the other ones if anyone is interested.
  12. Did anyone catch this the other night? Artie Lang is hilarious!!! The show itself I believe could have used a ton of improvement. The interviews were dry, and it never really seemed to flow well. I think that the only thing that saved it for me was Artie Lang. What do ya think?
  13. Yes, you are a bad person. You're telling me that you wouldn't take that deal in the offseason? If you told me no, I wouldn't take it, I would call you a liar too. That's a lot of ching, we aren't just talking about a couple of million dollars. How fast do people forget what he did for us last year.
  14. You can get factory refurbs on apple.com for a fairly reasonable price, compared to the new ones, and they have a fairly nice selection. Here's a link http://store.apple.com/us...ialdeals/mac?mco=MTE3NjY
  15. My family owns a car dealership, and we are looking for one of those maps that you can put a pin in to show where we have sold cars around the US. We would like to put it on the website, but we are looking for something for free, and are having a hard time finding something. Does anyone know where I could find something like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  16. St. Louis fans are good for the most part. Always a couple that ruin it for the others. As far as places to eat the breakfast at Ed's Chili Mac is the best
  17. I'd say two weeks is plenty, unless you think that you have a good repore at the place. Also, if you handle money of any sort or you have a major part in there computer systems, don't be suprised if they walk you right out the front door. Most the time, if people give me a notice, it is greatly appreciated, and you never know when you'll need a reference. 2 weeks is all that I expect, any more is bonus as far as I am concerned.
  18. Just played the Legend at Bergmot yesterday in Oregon. Pretty nice course although it needs to mature a bit to be a great course. A bit of water to hit over on a few holes, and reasonably priced. Membership there is so expensive, they haven't been able to make it "members only". I think it was like $45 for 18 and a cart. I know that they had twilight hours, but I didn't really pay attention.
  19. In my opinion, I would go with a Berghoff Summer Solstice, New Glarus Spotted Cow, and one beer that I love that isn't from WI is Hennipin. I'm pretty sure that is illegal to send beer though. Don't know is someone that you know could UPS it to ya.
  20. I put Trex on my place, and think that this is great stuff. Only complaint is that it faded a bit. If you can afford it, definitely go with the synthetic.
  21. Can you do Bat's, I'd be interested if they're only 20
  22. The one thing that I would check into is using Trex or composit for the deck boards. You never have to stain them, and there is a 20 year warranty on them. I would suggest doing the flooring and handrails in this material. I used it on my rental, and couldn't be happier. The big thing is cost, which is about 4-5 times the cost of a regular 2x4. Think I paid around $46 for a 16ft 2x4. The plus is no maintinance. I had regular wood steps on before this, and I had to paint them every year. Another thing about this material is that it tends to fade a bit, so the color that you initially put on, will turn lighter over time if it sits in the sun a lot. Another plus is when I had it reappraised, the appraisor said that the material also adds on a lot of value to your property.
  23. I've just been noticing that there are a ton of different authentications, and I wanna get the most bang for my buck. I just feel more comfortable buying something that has a solid Authentication. I don't think that I will ever sell my stuff, I just wanna know if I'm getting hosed on something.
