    Jacobs is one of the most underrated players in the league this year. He has been every bit as good as advertised.

    I've seen this elsewhere this year and I've wondered myself if there's data that shows kickoffs are more likely to have fumbles or something + a low risk of someone taking it out far enough to matter. I don't know. Just a thought I've had - that some teams think it's worth it to not do that.

    It's 17-7 and the 49ers had absolutely no pulse until that last drive. If I just skimmed this thread I would think it's 7-7.

    I just don't get that. We played that drive like we didn't have 2 timeouts.

    Watson drop sucked but I don't know why we deemed 3 consecutive chucks to be the only play. Could have stayed creative and gotten a FG in before half. Just bad management from MLF.

    The "controversy" is that the Bears got called for a leverage penalty or whatever on a FG recently. If you compare the two plays, they are not even remotely similar.

    Not sure that's hot. He was bad his first two seasons, arguably showed some promise and just raw athleticism his first year, but not bad enough to write off. He's substantially worse this year pretending to be a linebacker in the new scheme. I think there's a place for him in the league has a pass-rush specialist. He's not the all-around linebacker they're pretending he is or that you draft in the 1st round.

    Jones was fully available for about 6 games. That ends the Jacobs debate right there. They absolutely made the correct decision.

    There were a lot of favorable outcomes for GB today. You'd have to think if they beat SF they have essentially clinched a playoff spot. It's hard to see them falling out of the top 7 especially if they win next week. Finishing in the top 6 would be preferable to avoid a likely trip out to Philly in the first round.

    Doubt that would work. UW has not been willing to bend its academic rules for football. Deion has been saying the right things in that regard but there are players on the team struggling academically who probably never get through the doors at UW.

    I made a post in the Lions game that he is the biggest headscratcher on the roster for me. He is a phenomenal athlete and yes he's had injury problems, but even when healthy he just doesn't seem to do what he should be doing. I hope this was the the start of something. He is a physical freak with world-class speed.

    Maybe. But that did force them to go 95+ yards so I don't think it's quite that straight forward. I didn't hate the decision to go for it, but you just have very little room to work with when you're in an @ Goal from that distance.

    Score on first down, 3 seconds later and coughed up a timeout for no reason. Lol. I mean that probably won't lose the game, but how are professionals making these decisions.

    This is an idiotic challenge IMO. It's first down Matt. You can't get in from here? What if you miss the 2 and need a FG with 40 seconds left? Losing the timeout is not worth it.

    He has 4 game-winning drives in less than 2 full seasons. This just isn't true. He's won some and not won others. He's having a bad season, that's indisputable now, but this just isn't true.

    Love has a chance to win a dreadfully played game by almost everybody. They've had several chances, but this drive is why you pay a franchise QB.
