  1. Heard the staff prevented some people from taking 10-20. So that's good to hear.
  2. Yeah, for $49 on any item...I'll pass. I got the Lucroy/Peralta/Segura triple ticket for $50 from them. I already got Lucroy so I split it with a friend who wanted him and I'm paying $25 for Peralta and Segura. Couldn't pass that up.
  3. Where do you even check? I'm off work tomorrow but won't bother doing this on the weekend.
  4. Just did a quick scan of eBay and saw a Bernie recently sold for $99 and a Chorizo for $129. Crazy. I'm a bobble nut, but I don't have these so I think I'll just steer clear of it all.
  5. Good point; I didn't realize that was two seasons ago. I thought it was last year. I completely missed that they did this last season. Must because it went a lot better.
  6. The disastrous Bernie Gnome promotion is returning. I, for one, am flabbergasted. It will feature the Polish Sausage this year.
  7. The Aoki is still selling off the charts on eBay.
  8. For awhile I've been buying them from Wal-Mart. I order them online at like $12 something a pop, and you can have them shipped free to a store or FedEx. FedEx is one block away, so it works for me.
  9. I need two, thanks.
  10. There is an alternate. 5,000 of the dolls will feature Hart on the couch with his leg propped up on an ottoman. Seriously though, I can't imagine how they'd make an alternate of this one.
  11. I'm wishfully hoping this follows the Counsell one from a few years ago that had only 1 model.
  12. So does that Weeks error also count as a HR? Yeah he did it for the other team, but so what?
  13. I was at the game too. It's fine inside. My point is that the crappy weather cuts down the number of people who want to stand outside for 2-3 hours and tailgate. Baseball is summer's game. A lot of people don't want to load up the car and wear sweatshirts in 35 degree weather before heading in. A lot of people don't even want to walk from the car to the stadium in that weather. I've never been that picky but I know lots of people who are like that. A lot of people go for the experience, not so much the baseball. I tailgated anyway, but I'm not the average fan. The people obsessed with the bobbles will go, but I promise you Sunday would have been a sell-out if it was 75 all weekend. It ended up being just my roommate and I for that reason. Typically we'd have no problem rounding up 10 people. Our friends just didn't want to go outside.
  14. I think that has more to do with the awful weather than anything else. Both days were freezing.
  15. I have so many of the damn things now that I wouldn't at all be opposed to the Brewers just stopping them. Maybe do them every 3-5 years or so.
  16. This guy was the single worst person I have ever dealt with in all my years of sports memorabilia. He agreed to a deal, I sent it out, he got it, I got nothing. I went as far as calling him several times and he would immediately yell at me and say he got nothing. I remember saying, "I don't understand, we both said we mailed them out the same day. I said I mailed it out, and you told me you did too on the same day. So why didn't I get anything?" "I was waiting to get yours to see if you would scam me! You're the scammer!" All of his emails were barely intelligible typo-laden rants. He used to be on eBay selling a whole bunch WI-related stuff under the name Willie and a bunch of numbers. I'm pretty sure he's since been banned. I later found out through my brother in radio that the guy was notorious for attending their charity events. He'd show up in an autographed Gantner jersey and haggle charities for deals on items. Yep - Billy Wenz is a real class act! It's nice to know he's alone though. He was living with his mom back then but I think she passed away.
  17. Anyone else notice how high the Aokis are going for? Seems to be little difference between the white and pinstripe. I'm seeing the whites hit $30+ with shipping.
  18. Do those programs say anything about Hart having alternates?
  19. I wouldn't do it. If I'm trading via mail, I stick to BrewerFan. William (Bill) Wenz is a scam artist on CL. He got me and that was the end of CL trading for me. Unless I meet you in person we're not doing business.
  20. Got the pinstripe and blue versions and need the whites for both. Anyone have extras? I have Axford, Morgan and Melvin. Looking to buy most likely.
  21. Yeah, I don't really care. I just like to get the autos.
  22. I'm a big Gomez fan and would really like an OMLB signed by him. Prefer sweet spot, but that's not a "must." I can pay for it, what you think if a fair price...I have some duplicate bobbles (Melvin, Axford, Nyjer). I do have some OMLBs I'm not that in love with (LaPorta, Cain), but I'd rather hang on to those. If anyone has an extra or one they want to part with, let me know.
  23. I collect them all, including retros, but I agree with you completely. I don't have a problem with anyone obtaining/selling certain bobbles. No one forces me to do what I do. I haven't quite been able to justify throwing down $400 for the super rare ones just yet. I don't have Hall, Mark A. or Kent. I don't really have an interest in Kent, to be honest. At some point $400 for something sitting on my shelf just isn't worth it, but if someone is willing to do it, more power to the buyer and seller.
