Having a plan is fine. Its just not the guy I would blow my pool on. Theres arms we should be looking at to go over slot with. Lutz is a nice prospect but IDK about the risk/reward levy'd on our pool
  2. wichmae
Why? MLB Pipeline has him ranked #34 - right about where we picked him. Is there some reason we would have to go over slot? He probably has the second highest signability issue besides Baz for the top 50 guys. His Texas commit is very, very strong. Its gonna take some coin to sign him.

Gonna have to go over slot to sign Lutz. Not a huge fan of this one IMO.

Turns out he has a coke problem and is in rehab. Don't think we want to touch him. Are you sure you're not confusing him with Ian Khahloa? Exactly my thought.

Aguilar was already on the 40. Im guessing its Scahill taking Scooters spot.

I guess I should have consolidated my previous post into 140 characters. Sorry

    Were getting a COMP A Teams receiving Comp Rd A picks in '17 @MLBDraft will be: @Reds, @Marlins, @Brewers, @Twins, @Athletics and @RaysBaseball

Isnt the deadline for the 40 man adds to protect for rule 5 tomorrow?
  10. wichmae
I dont think were done making 40 man moves before the winter meetings. Theres still work to be done if they want to be draft eligible and protect guys. I think they have to protect Coulter as well as Williams. Wang has an argument to be made for as well/

Brewers announce slew of 40-man subtractions. Garin Cecchini, Jake Elmore, Andy Wilkins & Sean Nolin all outrighted to Triple-A
  12. wichmae
They need the 40 spots so this makes sense.

Rymer Liriano lost on waivers to the White Sox
  14. wichmae
Whats interesting too is that I dont believe Pinto was on the 40. Finally filled that last 40 spot.

    Guess that answers that..

Fairly certain you typed that wrong without looking up birthdates but Brinson literally just came from that AA team and was hitting pedestrian there as well. I also said profiles so not sure why youre trying to compare production. Two completely different things. Nope, I looked up the birthdates, and like I said, Santana is younger than Cordell. I'm not sure how Brinson got into the conversation, but he was playing hurt this year. He crushed AA last year. Cordell played hurt this year too. They had very similar numbers in AA this year. Like I said though. Profiles.

Domingo Santana was better in AA at age 20 than Cordell was 24. Santana is actually younger than Cordell. Fairly certain you typed that wrong without looking up birthdates but Brinson literally just came from that AA team and was hitting pedestrian there as well. I also said profiles so not sure why youre trying to compare production. Two completely different things.

He cannot play SS or 3B to any of you who are considering it. He hasnt played IF in a year and was a disaster when he was there. He's most likely a guy who profiles much like Corey Hart or what we hoped Santana would be. Not sure why people are upset with this.

Reminder that Texas' high A team (Jairo Beras, Josh Morgan, Michael De Leon, and Brett Martin are there) is going to the postseason. Wouldnt expect an announcement if its someone there until eliminated or concluded.

Have to imagine Susac is a guarantee now that he's off the DL in AAA
  21. wichmae
I think its Jurado or Guzman.

    Cannot be Mendez anymore. Bummer.
