  1. It doesn't help when Dale Sveum addresses his team for the first time after Ned gets canned and tells them he doesn't care what pitches they swing at even if it's in the dirt. The manager next year needs to hold players accountable for swinging at pitches in the dirt or two feet outside (see Hart) or pitches that are two feet high (see Prince)!
  2. The final straw was Shouse pitching to the right handers. Other blunders that come to mind are: Playing Weeks over Ray especially with rt handed pitchers Putting Gywnn into the game instead of Hart. Letting Gywnn bat period! Playing Mike Lamb at all. Not using Carlos more in the pen. (He does have the best ERA of anybody out of the pen) Using Gagne in the 8th inning. Letting CC pitch 130 pitches when up 9-2. Heard interview from Craig Coshon this afternoon that the players all respect Dale!!!! The first thing I would do if I was Dale is move Manny to the pen!
  3. He goes 3-5 with a HR and 3 RBI for the Rangers last night. Looks like a 4A player to me!
  4. I agree with shadowuwm in that Manny was pissed that Prince couldn't get to that ball in the 5th. The bottom line is Prince is overweight and can't move his feet and his defense is hurting the Brewers. How management allows him to be so overweight is beyond me. He has the worst range of any 1B in the league.
  5. He strikes out about the same as Matt Gamel does and everybody thinks he's a lock for the majors.

  14. Nelson Cruz is putting up huge numbers in Triple A playing right field. (Trade for Francisco Cordero and Kevin Mench) I didn't realize he was 6'3 and 230lbs. With Josh Hamilton ahead of him it will be interesting to see what Texas does with him. You would think at the worst he would DH. I know he has had some at bats in the bigs with poor results but with those numbers he belongs back up. He has the best numbers of anybody I have seen this year in the minors! 37 Homeruns 98 RBIs .438 OBP .721 Slugging 1.159 OBPS 3 errors (edits: thread title updates --1992)

  23. Isn't that the announcers job to inform his audience of a no no? It's not like CC is listening to the broadcast! (pared back "extra" punctuation --1992)
  24. Since JJ throws 95 mph or at least he has thrown that fast I would be surprised if AE throws harder!
