  1. My friend and I were discussing our all-time favorite athletes so I thought I'd pose the question to BF.net. Name your top 5 athletes of all time. Here are mine in no particular order 1: Barry Sanders - Watching Barry as a kid made me a Lions fan (although I've been cursing him for it ever since). You could sprain an ankle just watching some of his highlights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUVFZYYzHPU 2: Mike Tyson - Nothing like shelling out $50 for a 30 second fight. In his prime he would have beaten anyone (sorry Ali). 3: Paul Molitor - My favorite Brewer. One of my first Brewer memories was being at a game during his hitting streak. 4: Hank Aaron - He did it all with class in the face of adversity. 5: Roberto Clemente - An amazing ballplayer and an even better human being. Check out "Clemente: The Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero" by David Maraniss.
  2. The streak ended on 8/14 with a Gamel 0-4. DFA Gamel http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. Rollie didn't have a chance to shine on the magic number thread, but I'll take it. Hell of a win. This is so much fun!
  4. Were any of those pitches near the plate? I cannot believe that Yuni drew a walk.
  5. I enjoyed the article although it should be called "Teams that will make the playoffs not named the Phillies, Yanks, Sox, or Giants."
  6. Thome just hit #600. I'm glad I flipped over to the Giants v Braves game and saw ESPN cut to his AB. Congrats, Mr. Thome.
  7. Yikes. I had my fingers crossed for Kershaw v ZG.
  8. Swagger is an overused and stupid word. Thanks Kayne.
  9. Lilly vs Wolf TBA vs Yo TBA vs Greinke TBA vs Estrada I love watching TBA pitch as much as the next man, but I have a friend in town from LA and we were hoping to see Kershaw. Anyone know when he pitches?

  11. I'm very happy with 2/3. Let's take at least 2 this weekend.
  12. That is such a crazy arm angle. I don't like waving the white flag in the 7th & 8th.
  13. Nyjer does have a "T-Plush" signature. Bobble Brian got it and sent me a picture. It was signed T-Plush Nyjer Morgan. I tried posting a picture of the ball, but it isn't working for some reason.
  14. Yes. That is the BrewMeister. It was retail although I don't know when/where it was sold. The SGA from the ASG was the Sheets Futures bobble.

  16. Randy has been sharp tonight. I would let him pitch the 7th. It would be nice to get a couple Badger Mutual Insurance runs.
