  1. These next two months are going to be crazy. I have a feeling the Cards will be back in this because they are the Cards and exorcised Matheny. 2 of 3 from Cubs and 3 of 4 from Rockies. Cubs actually have a pretty cakewalk schedule other than few off days. Pirates...doubt they keep it up but VERY few teams are out of it. I am scared for the Brewers as a pessimist.
  2. There are pitchers that when you watch on TV their stuff looks really impressive... Rich hill is not one of those guys.
  3. Am I remembering correctly that when we got Jeffress back last year his velocity was down in the low 90s? It's been great to see that velocity consistently high.
  4. I've honestly noticed during Aguilar's slump that he's gotten some bad umping on strike calls. Lots of strikes called below the knees, outside, etc.
  5. He needs to learn to control his emotions and stay relaxed. Whenever I’ve seen him play, he gets very visually upset when he pops out or strikes out, moreso than most. He just doesn’t seem relaxed. I guess this is obvious, but I didn't see that when things were going good. Has to get back to that.
  6. In case anyone missed it, Nationals beat the Mets....25-4. Jose Reyes pitched the ninth and gave up 6 earned runs hahaha. Brett Phillips hit a HR for the royals.
  7. Except one of Shaw, Schoop, and Moose will be on the bench every day to start. This is such a curious move. Isn't that good to have those guys available on the bench?
  8. Or if Thames gets hurt Shaw/Moose can get a few games at 1B. Basic thing I think we can all get behind is that we should see very little of the Perez, Sogard, villar, and Orfs from here on out. Generally speaking, I think we gave up more than I expected. But he does have another year of control so I kinda get it. Hope he stays hot Good point regarding Thames. He gets hurt a lot.
  9. Hahaha! Thank you, I was mispronouncing it in my head.
  10. The part about Kintzler giving tips to Roark on the day he pitched 8 shutout against us concerns me greatly...
  11. 3 guys for 2 positions. Mous, Shaw and Schoop. Rotate them as needed. I'm fine with it. Wish we'd gotten a pitcher too but this just makes us better.
  12. Feels like it will stay calm...
