  1. What I expect: below .500 rest of the way. Pitching staff struggling mightily, including bullpen. I think Anderson may be lone bright spot, stabilizing. Yelich continues to be solid. Cain slight regression. Aguilar regression to .250 play or so. Shaw continues to be .240 with just okay power, offense continues to be terrible. Pretty pessimistic overall. Don't see many possible bright spots.
  2. Seems odd to think of Kemp as good again! He was pretty mediocre for a long stretch. Same with heyward but I think he'll suck again.
  3. This is one game but for momentum sake...it feels big. Shake a lot of bad juju off with a win, restore some good vibes....or lose and start a real tailspin. We'll see.
  4. It was such a strange feeling. I am a pessimist by nature but it felt fait accompli after that first game. You just knew it was going to be a sweep. For such a team game, it is bizarre how baseball can generate such TANGIBLE momentum in one direction or another. I always know which way the Brewers are trending. I would even say after that third Miami game in the series they lost, I knew the sweep was coming in Pitt.
  5. When are we out of Colorado Springs? I can't wait to not have to do the mental calculation of "okay, those numbers in CO Springs mean yada yada in real world terms. Those numbers don't look good at all considering location.
  6. If you're done with a .800 OPS 3B (which is top 10 in MLB among players w/at least 200 PAs), you're going to be very disappointed with baseball. I recommend you try soccer. Or badminton. I recommend you try not being condescending. I recommend that. Recommend.
  7. Shaw is a verrry mediocre player. Slowww twitch muscles. Big holes in swing. Kinda done with him.
  8. Just came to post how I hate people saying that the team looks "tired". Total cop out. They just aren't a good offense outside of Aguilar and yelich. Sweep away pirates, I won't be watching.
  9. Love our trash offense. I'd be surprised if we don't get swept.
  10. Can someone explain to me what managers signal from dugout to catchers? In the past when I've seen this I thought it was for inexperienced catchers. Is Holaday young? Are they calling pitches??
  11. I just know Joe Maddon is somehow behind this. Wouldn't be surprised.
  12. Has Miley even been rehabbing?? Why is Miley still in the discussion?
  13. I remember being In Seattle on vacation but following it very closely and tearing up a bit when they clinched the last weekend in September. Did a Mets game have something to do with us clinching? Either the Mets losing or beating someone else?
  14. There have been reports that the negotiations are "on the 35 yd line and driving". The longer the Os wait, the more the price goes down. It benefits the Os to move quick. I would guess this week.
  15. If we actually get him... Then roll into the postseason with Chase, Guerra, chacin and Peralta... yikes. Won't feel good about that.
