  1. *unlurks* I decided to throw my hat in the ring
  2. I was too pessimistic for June so I'll swing the other way. 15-9
  3. As a type 1 diabetic for most of my life, I agree with the above statements. Diabetes is an autoimmune disorder. Like Closet said, cut, bruises take forever to heal because the immune response just sucks. It's why colds can last longer, it's why diabetics are more susceptible to other diseases. All this would not affect getting injured but it's certainly possible it's affecting recovery time. There are tons of increased probabilities but never any definitive times where you can 100% blame it on the Diabetes
  4. Yea, that's some might fine work BF82. A younger stalton used to be a whiz with Excel and could have done this but I've been out of the game for too long. It's interesting because I hear alot of feast or famine talk about the Brewers but I wonder if the distribution of any competent offense is not a normal distribution. It's great to see that comparatively speaking, outside of getting shut out, the Brewers are not that radical.
  5. Oops. Then I suppose the comparison is Junk today, pushing everyone back a day versus the status quo and Junk filling in the hole in the rotation.
  6. The way I look at this dilemma is whether Junk today and Peralta tomorrow gives a better chance at winning both games versus Peralta today and Junk tomorrow.
  7. 14-13. Pretty much status quo. Great offense. Good bullpen. Questionable starters. Unfortunately, a bit of bad luck prevents a great month.
  8. Didn't Grienke do it when he get the early bogus ejection for firing the ball down?
  9. As a long time BFer (give me a grilled cheese sandwich), I still use BF to get my Brewer and MLB news but quite honestly my interaction has seriously dropped because of all the animosity and personal attacks on the site. The overall culture of the site seems to be more toxic than it ever was, and I just have zero desire to deal with any of that.
  10. When I started a new job last week, I failed to realize I wouldn't be able to take off for the home opener. I should have negotiated it before signing the offer sheet.
  11. If current projections hold, Uribe will have 162 saves shattering KRod's 62 back in '08
  12. Murphy Era begins! 86 wins and a wild card berth
  13. Agreed and I think my post got slightly off the topic from what I quoted.
  14. Personally I don't care about Ohtani. I care about the sanctity of the game. I already have issues with inconsistent and biased favoritism ala payroll shenanigans and lack of even punishments for off field issues, but I foresee a potential for the MLB Powers That Be, to look the other way for whatever Ohtani did, because he is one of the biggest faces in baseball. If Ohtani is held guilty of something illegal, I'd like him to get the same punishment that Turang would get if Brice did it.
  15. My only thing is the potential hypocrisy if Ohtani did something illegal that will get swept under the rug that if it were anybody else would get the full power of the banhammer of the MLB. The whole gambling issue in of itself is a debacle. I'm not sure how the MLB can say it's horrible and receive tons of money in sponsorship.
  16. I almost had a heart attack. At first, I didn't read the 's' on the end of cokes. That being said, what exactly is daily maintenance. Ice and Tylenol?
  17. Supposedly, Giancarlo Stanton literally said that.
  18. Cubs just wanted to emulate the Brewers by having a Peralta on their team.
  19. I'm not sure how I feel about the rule enforcement. My worry though are the close calls. Plays like the clip are super obvious but if a ball gets thrown to the runner side of the base, there could be an unintentional obstruction of the runner. Will that be called? So many plays are bang bang with hands and feet flying everywhere.
  20. Fans can speak with their wallet but it doesn't feel like many fans do, at least in any meaningful way.
  21. I've been trying to put my opinion into a coherent statement and it's this 100%
  22. I dunno. The Marshal Mathers LP was 2000. Born this Way was 2012. Teenage Dream was 2010. Though 4 had just had come out right before 2013.
