  1. So Kottaras can bat ahead of Gonzalez and higher in the order, but Lucroy can't. Oh yeah, Lucroy is good at clearing the pitcher.....
  2. Brewers 7-10 Astros 7-10. I'm guessing Astro's message boards have simlar posts to yours. Sweep the Brewers, get back to .500, start feeling good again. I hope you are right and love the positive outlook, but I am just hoping for a 2-1 series win.
  3. Wily Peralta debut is the shining moment of the game? Pretty sad, glad for Wily though. Hopefully he is lights out.
  4. Nyjer has 1500 PA against RHP with a line of .305/.357/.393. Aoki has 18 (very good) plate appearances this season. I also would like to see a little bit more Aoki, especially while Morgan is struggling (K rate up a little, hitting a lot of ground balls)....but I think calls to replace him in the platoon are premature. Each of the next two series are against 2 RHP and 1 LHP, if I had to guess we'll see each guy out in CF for one game (like happened this series). I'm more than OK with that, and then as the season goes on/samples get larger the team can adjust accordingly. But I think over the course of a week (assuming no off days) we should more or less see Morgan get 3-4 starts, Gomez get 2, Aoki getting 2-3 starts (spelling Hart every other week or so) Ninja, what is your love affair with Morgan. Even when he is hitting .305 it is with zero power and comes along with average defense and no throwing arm.
  5. Typo, meant to say can't hit guys with little to no big league experience. Proving to be true so far. Apparently the Rockies suffer from the same thing. Go Marco
  6. At some point how good a guy is at clearing the pitcher is irrelevant. Makes zero sense to have one of your better hitters in the 8th spot. On another note, I am hoping Wily gets a shot to come out of the pen tonight. Haven't seen him pitch since his days in Appleton with the T-Rats.
  7. How much longer does Lucroy have to waste away in the 8th spot? He has more home runs and the same amount of RBI as our clean up hitter. Not saying he should bat clean up, but he needs to bat ahead of Gonzalez. A little nervous about Pomeranz. We all know how the Brewers hit guys with little to no big league experience.
  8. Very nice pitch Veras. Way to take advantage of the bad call on the 4th pitch. Come on bats!
  9. What is encouraging about this team is that they don't depend on the big boys. If you told me Weeks and Ramirez would be batting .200 and Braun was stuggling to hit for power and drive in runs for the first few weeks. I would guess they would have 3 wins. Everyone contributes from 1-9 and the bench. Once Weeks, Braun, and A Ram get going this team could get really hot.
  10. Maybe Peralta will give them a shot in the arm tomorrow. Team looks out of it right now. Maybe the sickness is sucking the life out of the whole team right now.
  11. He just seems lost right now. Hard to believe since we are all so used to seeing him do everything right with the bat.
  12. Maybe he is sad that Matt Kemp is running away with the MVP this year. Another HR for Kemp tonight. That guy is playing out of his mind right now.
  13. It's now official that every IGT should have at least 1 post about how slow Aramis is. Well, maybe he should quit giving us a reason to bring it up on a daily basis.
  14. I signed on to say this same thing. How did he become for slow and so bad in the field. I like the hot streaks with the bat, but I will never be a big fan of his.
  15. Rickie is currently striking out at a 40% clip, and on pace for 243 K's this year. Come on Rick! I feel this is the game he gets back on track. At least I hope so, the team needs his bat to heat up in a bad way.
  16. Could happen, I hope you're right. EDIT: Was that a 3 month contract they signed with Ramirez or 3 years?
  17. I agree, just talking with a buddy about how Hart should bat clean up for now until Ramirez gets hot in June. About that time Hart will come back down to earth. Ride the wave baby.
