  1. Outside of Brewers fans, baseball hates Braun due to his link to PEDs. Right? Probably not, but it is a fact.
  2. So have his walks. Dude needs to get better command or he is nothing more than a bullpen arm.
  3. Still don't see how so many people here still insist he is well above average. I watch him screw up way too much to believe the defensive stats.
  4. http://i.imgur.com/51wo6.jpg Who is that that? Looks like some over hyped 20 year old.
  5. Yep, he just knows how to pitch. He reminds me a lot of Marcum. I am refering to the regular season Marcum.
  6. I miss Odorizzi and Escobar. Alcides has been great this year for the Royals.
  7. I was honestly thinking exactly what you posted here. The Rangers have zero reason to have Olt up right now. If we call up Olt and start him on the same day our new pitcher Dempster has his first start the fans will forget we dropped the ball and let Greinke go to our main rival in the division.
  8. It is actually the complete opposite. Weeks should be in the 1 or 2 hole where he can do what he does, which is get on base and pop home runs occasionally. He is a very bad situational hitter. His career average with the bases empty is .261, but his average with Men on is .233. Men in scoring position is .241. He is much better served to be batting at the top of the order where the team can benefit from his high OBP.
  9. Weeks walkoff against the Cards a few years back.
  10. I doubt we ever see Scooter at 2B in the bigs for the Brewers. Segura is a 2B so I bet that is where he ends up. We all love Scooter, but I don't see him as an everyday 2B. Hopefully Segura can improve at SS, and leave the door open for Sccoter, but I am not sure that will happen.
  11. I would make that deal as well. Masterson is either great or he gets shelled, and that depends on how that sinker is working. If he could figure out a way to make those 8 earned blow ups turn into 4 or 5 earned he would be very solid #2 or #3. Someone mentioned him as a #1 but that is unrealistic.
  12. While I am not fully convinced he will become a true ace I still think he has plenty of time to put it together. Yo is only 26. He has put up better numbers than Verlander did at this point in his career. Verlander didn't really put it all together until his 26 and 27 year old seasons in 2009 and 2010, and now look at him. Yes, Yo doesn't quite have the stuff Verlander does, but he just needs to learn to trust his stuff. The only thing holding him back is the fact he tries to nibble to much and doesn't just go after guys.
  13. He has zero power. It is pretty hard to bat over 350, but still put up an OPS under 800. He has hit 3 HR in his last 700 something at bats. He is just another Izturis or Ransom. His 300 average in AAA will translate into a 270 average in the MLB, and I forgot to mention he has NO POWER at all. Best case he bats 300 the rest of the way, but he is not a big league SS by any means. Neat little story this year yes, but nothing to really care about. Tony Campana put up better numbers in AAA than Bianchi, and that guy is worthless.
  14. So basically every pitcher other than Greinke is having a career year in a bad way. Time for Kranitz to pack his bags???
  15. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Like others have said I am so happy these games mean nothing or this wouldn't be as funny as it is. Has there been a more horrible bulpen in the MLB over the last decade? Our best reliever is Loe and his sparkling 4.04 ERA. Brewers will have the worst team ERA from the 7th inning on after today. They were just ahead of the Mets as of yesterday.
  16. I like the way you think. A lot of folks here hoping for Profar are not really seeing Greinke’s true value, and are honestly fooling themselves if they think it is even possible. Why would any GM give up the top 1 or 2 prospect in all of baseball for a non-all-star pitcher who has been really struggling for the past 3 weeks? I would jump all over Olt for Greinke straight-up.
  17. All we can hope for is Greinke for Olt. That may be a big reach. Remember we got Sabathia for Laporta who wasn't even in the top 25. I know they got Brantley as well, which turned out pretty nicely for the Indians. I would be pumped to get Olt straight up for Greinke.
  18. I've been driving the Maldy bandwagon since I 2010 just based on his skills, but give me Cobb, Archer, or Nieman, and it'd be incredibly stupid IMO not to trade him. Just like it'd be stupid not to trade Gallardo for Verlander or Braun for Mike Trout(if he was signed long term). Good and valuable doesn't mean don't trade. You really don't get much value if you go that route. I'm at a just stand still mode right now. No trades, leave the team the way it is unless you can get a Scutaro for a Gindl or something like that. Seriously people....look at August and how many times we play the teams ahead of us and who we have coming back, and how this team has been playing as of late. Ax doesn't blow two saves and we're REALLY looking good right now. I still like this team. Hate the 1st half performance, but I'm so did fans of a lot of other teams who made their move in the 2nd half. Keep telling yourself all you want that this team will turn it around, but the reality is they don't have the firepower to make a run this year. Do you really think Marcum/Lucroy coming back makes them a contender? I hope I am wrong, but I see zero chance of this team even coming close to sniffing the WC let a long the division.
  19. No thanks, what would be the point? If the Brewer's were contending and needed a SS to make a deep run than maybe, but this year no way.
  20. Estrada has given up at least 1 HR in every game he has started this year. He needs to be in the pen next year.
