  1. Suppan has a ZiPS projected ERA of 5.4. I guy like that is going to have a decent amount of good starts, even against decent offenses. That's just the reality of the game of baseball. You are free to define what level of performance is personally acceptable to you, of course. If your expectation, however, is for the Brewers to ALWAYS destroy mediocre/bad starting pitchers, that's simply unrealistic. Those kind of unrealistic expectations are what drives some Brewer fans to propagate the myth that the Brewers always struggle against soft tossers/bad starting pitchers. I see where you are going with this but we are talking about a washed up Suppan who posted a 4.78 ERA in AAA last year and a 12.14 ERA so far in AAA this year. As EatMeat said anything less than dominating Suppan will be unacceptable.
  2. I swear everytime Weeks rips a ball to right field it is right at someone.
  3. Like the Aoki start, but hate that Rickie is still playing and still batting lead-off. He is due for a day off and a change of pace in the line-up. I would love to see Aoki lead-off with Luc batting 2nd. Imagine what Lucroy would do batting in front of Braun instead of the pitcher. Here is to the Brewers staying hot and Marcum going deep in this one.
  4. Oh yeah, other Corey Hart thing I can't stand is when he guess with two strikes all the time. Swing the damn bat.
  5. He has an OPS over 1.000 this season/month....that's a result of more than a 3 game hot streak. I understand he doesn't always look great when he strikes out, but he's been far and away the best hitter on the team this season. I never said anything about him being bad. I just said I can't stand him. He is a solid player, but I can't stand watching him stumble around out in RF. Brauny!!!
  6. I can't stand watching Corey Hart play baseball 90% of the time. The 10% I don't mind is during his 3 game hot streaks that happen once every month or two.
  7. I completely agree. What sucks is he was on his way to a career year until he folded his ankle in half. He has looked horrible ever since.
  8. That wasn't on Weeks, I think RR had him shifted over pretty far towards 1st with the lefty up. If he plays normal 2B spot that is a double play. EDIT: For the third time. Ax Man!
  9. It doesn't matter how much confidence anyone has in any middle reliever. What matters is the fact that I have a million times more confidence in any bat on the bench coming throgh with the bases loaded than I have in Estrada coming through in a make or break situation in this game. I thought it was stupid when it happened and what happened next inning just proved me and many others right.
  10. Hate to say it but that is what good teams do. That's the difference between them and the Brewers. The Brewers fail more times than not when an opportunity arrises, while the Cards do the opposite. Yes, that makes me hate them very much too. Horrible third strike call there on Braun. Nice A Ram!
  11. Morgan isn't producing against anyone so it is worth a shot. With that said I would have rather seen Aoki get the start. My question is when do you shake up the top of the order and move Rickie out of the lead-off spot. Hard to score runs when you lead-off hitter and #2 (Morgan) are both batting below the Mendoza line. Nothing long term, but RRR has to shake things up a bit IMO.
  12. Didn't Gallardo toss a gem against the Cards early last year. Why can't that Yo come back? The Brewers are a mess right now. The only players who got an AB for the Crew tonight that had a BA above .300 were Gomez and Kottaras.
  13. From what I have seen he strikes me as a solid fourth outfielder. I believe he is much better than a fourth outfielder. As many have already said he is Nyjer with better defense. He can read fly balls, run and has a much better arm. I personally would like to see him get more starts against RHP and bat leadoff. He would be a great hitter to lead off a game because he sees a ton of pitches and is a pretty hard out. I could see him irritating an opposing pitcher and getting him out of his grove.
  14. It seems like Rickie is in an 0-2 count in almost every AB lately.
  15. I must be bad luck for the Crew. Turn the TV to cartoons for the kid, and Ish hits a two run shot. I am just going to follow games online and on the message board the rest of the year! Nice work Ish
  16. Ramirez = waste of space and money It is pretty bad when I still dislike him as much as I did when he was wearing a Cubs uni.
