He might not be an ace but he is a #1, just depends on how you decide to defince ace. There aren't 30 starters better than him in baseball. Agreed completely. There is another inside pitch not called a strike. Agree here to. He is a top 20 starter for sure. Though not an ace on the level of Halladay, Kershaw, Lincecum, and others, he is the Brewers ace, and carried them to a first round playoff series win. Plus, he is only 25. He will only get better.

The only thing that would make me feel better is if Rollie Fingers came into my living room and put his mustache on my upper lip.

No [edited] around RR. Get someone up now. Can't keep giving runs back when the offense rallys like this.
-
Looks like booing does help a team get back in it.
-
LUC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Jesus..
-
This is insane. That is the 5th HR and it is the bottom of the 2nd.
-
Now lets not give the run back right away! Weeks and Hart are keeping us in it..... weird.
-
I'd be pissed if I waited all day for this huge game, and paid out the ... to get tickets and then had to watch that first. I would be booing like a mad man. Never mind we don't need to hurt their feelings.
-
I have it recording tonight. Sad that I am more interested in watching that than this game currently.
-
That first strike to Prince was further off the plate than that missed strike three to Pujols. Way to go quitely, horrible ABs after Hart's HR. This team is lost right now.
-
Way to be patient Nyger....
-
There's a start. Pain level drops slightly
-
Too true, the second I heard Marcum was going to start this game I almost didn't even want to watch because I knew what just happened was going to happen. I am wishing I didn't turn the TV. Need to get the bats going or this is going to be a long painful game.
-
I hate that Marcum has completely lost the ability to throw anything for a strike. He used to be able to throw everyone of his pitches for a strike at anytime.
-
Not the worse throw in the world that was a pretty easy one hopper that Weeks needs to glove.
-
Way to miss strike 3 there.
-
He has been in the league a pretty long time the book should have been out all year. His problem is all those balls he is throwing now, he was throwing for strikes the first half of the year. He isn't locating his breaking stuff and his change and hitters know they can just sit on that blistering fastball. I remember at the start of the year when every pitch he flipped up there was on the corner for a strike.

Doesn't matter how much ugency a team has it will make no difference with the defense. Defense is more about being comfortable and reacting. Brewers defense has been horrible all year and we were all lying to ourselves if you didn't think it would bite us in the playoffs. Need to comment on that double by Molina that involved Hart. Some folks are saying that it was a very tough play. No it was not, Hart was already playing deep he seriously had to range 15 feet back to the wall stop and make a standing catch. He can't read a ball and react. I think Kotsay even has a good shot to make that play the way the outfield was positioned. Hart seems to jog thinking he has these balls tracked and then finds out it is over his head and makes an ugly effort to try to make up for his laziness. Go full speed until you know you have the play made.

I want to do a little of this tonight in a victory celebration http://www.gifbin.com/bin/g6011619998.gif EDIT: well that didn't work.
-
I have really good feeling about tonight. I think we see dominate Greinke and okay Garcia. Greinke has to back up his Carp smack at some point right? The cards pen is abused. If we get into it early again.. game over.
-
BA is way over the top on his Cardinal calls, and trys to sound almost bored when talking about the Crew. I know he doesn't want to sound like a homer, but you can sound excited for both teams.
-
I was waiting for Wolf to come inside. Craig was leaning way out over the plate.
-
This made me chuckle a bit. A little revenge by Randy for not giving him that outside corner.
-
Tatman? Oh wait that was to LF and that was last series.
-
We have the lead and that is all we need with our pen. 1st sign of trouble and Randy has to be pulled.
