  1. So what is the magic day that we can bring him up without losing a year od service time?
  2. Shame that this signing didnt pan out, I really did like the move.
  3. I thought he was pretty much fired as per Michael's terms.
  4. On an unrelated note Bill Hall's play was number 2 on Web Gems, though they called it the 2nd best play of the year behind Ankiel's catch which just happened to be on the same day. (Holy spelling errors Batman!)
  5. Fast Food... 1) Whooper 2) All others
  6. That's cool for you to choose but my issue is that I feel he shouldn't have that choice. Too many people, myself included, feel as though it is/was unneccessary what he did today and he could have handled it with a bit more class instead of mocking those of us that just don't like it. Examples in the thread have already been given as to how they could have handled it to appease everyone.
  7. I agree with many people here. We all do understand that the announcing as no real effect on the game but it did make a very enjoyable game, a little less enjoyable. Bill Hall's play was one of the best I have seen from a fielder this year and Prince and Braun came up big today. Lastly, the Fielder plunk did not seem intentional. P.S.-I also used to microwave my packs of baseball cards for a couple seconds (not enough to melt wrappers) to heat them up and make them better. I knew at the time that it did nothing but to me, that was just part of the fun. There is no need to rain on anyone's parade. I don't go around telling kid's that Santa isn't real even though I know him not to be out of respect for others.
  8. He was great in Malcon in the Middle as well.
  9. I wouldn't say that there wern't enough games at launch, 16 I believe, but what did them in is the lack of support from Sega in the end. They wanted to be a software buisness instead.
  10. Yeah, because Chicago people aren't fat.
  11. The underhand throw was weird but everyone preaches, even here, to get the first out, no matter what.
  12. To be fair Counsell did have two plays that Bill could have done better tonight. One was a groundball by Werth that might have been a double play. The other was a ball that nipped Craig's glove that Bill could have gotten to. I think Bill is a better fielder.
  13. I don't she looks as cute as last year.
  14. So when you don't walk Phillies, they score less runs. Crazy stuff.
  15. Good read. It's sad, I am a sega guy, even waited in line on 9/9/99. 2k sports were awesome and the games were very original.
  16. Werth with a solo shot after Howard swung at ball 4. For some reason, I almost like that is was a HR instead of a 2B, no need to worry about baserunners.
  17. 6 IP, 0 ER, and 2 walks (both to Howard). Nice day so far.
  18. Not very original but I ususally end up getting Johnsonville (or Meisfelds) and peel the skin off, slice them in half, and burn the heck out of them. Put kraut or if I am feeling lucky, thousand island dressing with hot sauce on it. Also, City Bakery, from sheboygan, hardrolls are a must.
  19. Chaclk this up to another game that the pitchers could not locate. I would love to hear the reasoning behind it. Can a MLB pitcher just not throw strikes sometimes? That seems like a PGA player duffing a drive, which you don't see. I am at a loss.
  20. Hey Swindle: Welcome to the Brewers, where throwing strikes is not mandatory nor is it generally expected.
