  1. TauPentaRei.... I sat in the right field bleachers by the line. It wasn'g going foul so I guess it's a moot point.
  2. Good game, I went and had a lot of trouble getting coming from Madison. It was over a two and a half hour drive with the traffic and parking problems. We didnt sit till the top of the 3rd so that was dissapointing. Anyway, like everyone else has said, in the 9th we were winning, no doubt. Random thoughts: Cirillo's bomb looked way gone off the bat but I didnt think Lee's was. Maybe it was good to have the bullpen work a little, they have had a lot of time off and we have a lot of arms out there that need work. Geremi G. looked very good today and Shouse looked unhittable to lefties. The crowd was lathergic in my opinion till the 9th when the place came alive. Lastly, Price Fielder will be a 50 HR threat yearly, if he so chooses.
  3. My take: Yesterday was a loss. We knew that going in for the most part. It's just a fact that they are a better team. As far as the switching positions/subbing in a game like that I am all for it. The first three games I started third base and I played every inning so when it came to this week and I sat all but one inning I thought it was just my turn. I know it might sound egotistical but I would like to have our best players out there in games that we stand a chance, or at least a better chance, in. I believe that next week we should start with the regular lineups again that will give us the best chance of winning because we can win next week. After half the game, I don't mind being subbed out at third, if that's where I am, and replaced by someone who can handle the position. In fact if someone is better than me, and that wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination at all, then I feel that they should start in the winnable games. This brings us to the pitching situation. Like Fever said we weren't winning so, in my opinion, we might as well get others in the game. There is no experience like game experience and I think it helped both Robin and Jamie. Now this week is another story and I think Fever should be the pitcher and start at least half the game there. Now this all goes back to what our team philosophy is, do we play to win or play to have fun. I myself have more fun when we win but that isn't everything and I really do believe everyone should get equal playing time and at bats. It just seems that we should mess around with line-ups/positions during those very difficult, almost un-winnable games as opposed to game like next week.
  4. I thought a Spivey injury was coming after seeing that. That is Ned Yost type-hustle.
  5. Options: Only me and Matt (ss) have played evry inning so far so here is what we could do. This is also havinf Fever in all game. Innings 1-3: SS: Matt 2nd: Jamie P: Fever 3rd: razzzorsharp Innings: 4-5 2nd: Jamie P: Robin 19 SS: Fever 3rd: Razzzorsharp Innings: 6-7 2nd: Fever SS: Matt P: Jamie 3rd: Robin 19 Also, is anyone else wants in you can sub me out or play me at a different position for the innings 4-5.
  6. It really doesn't bother me too much. If someone wants to be in the three hole I can switch spots with them.
  7. Hart comes from the school of T-Bow public speaking. It will only get better after his many walk off HR's.
  8. Yeah but this was a game the Cards could say they should have won so it evens out.
  9. Good Turnbow showed up tonight and I do think Hart starts tomorrow.
  10. Turnbow throwing strikes, Rickie making plays, this is a Brewer team I can get on board with!
  11. I will not attend because I have some friends coming from out of town but rest assured softball will be played here. Might I suggest for everyone, myself included, that instead of just dropping back and trying to see how far you can hit it, try instead to pick spots out and hit to them. Try and keep the shoulder back and hit to right or try and line drives. I know it's easier said than done but I think we need to focus on being a better hitting team.
  12. My high school was Sheboygan North
  13. Jimbo, Hey I am 26 I went to UW-Green Bay. Thanks, Nik
  14. "I don't like this game anymore. I am taking my ball and going home!"
  15. And we hit a new level of low. It wasn't weird enough that we hang out on a message baord and play softball with essentially strangers. We are now celebrating all of this with baseball cards. They do look very good, almost too good. Seems professionally done and I am interested in seeing others as well.
  16. Analysis of myself... Batting: So far this year I am hitting .500 and getting on base 57% of the time, which is all well and good but not for the 3 hole hitter. My 1 RBI says something about the power I have possessed thus far. I am more than open to moving down in the lineup and putting a hitter with more pop in that three spot. Put Houlie, BBall, or Robin there and I think you are going to get better production there. It seems this year that the power isn't there for me yet so I am opting to go to right field where I really only have singles power instead of trying to knock it out and flying out to left. Like I said, drop me down, it won't hurt my feelings to much. Fielding: Well the percentage shows that I am not doing as well as I would like (.867) but I think I am improving. Like I said prior I have never played infield yet alone third prior, usually left field, but I am starting to adjust. Both errors I have committed have been throwing errors that were just off the mark because I rushed the throws. I hope to get more time at 3rd but if I get pulled I can handle it, I am a big boy. As far as pitching goes it is what it is. I have never done it before and you saw what you get from me. I seemed to hit the zone, maybe too much with 4 ER in 2/3 of an inning, so I guess in a pinch I could do it but I would prefer not too. That's it. We are 1-2 and could easily be 2-1 and we aren't playing too bad. The thing is we are not a good softball hitting team. We need to be able to hit line drives and go station to station because it seems we rely on the walks too much and rest assured, we won't get them from good teams. We need to take what the defense gives us, if they have a rover make them pay like Houlie did by going over them or hitting the corners of left and right (like Robin does a lot of the time). One player I am impressed with is Jimbo, you're hitting has really improved since the first practice. It seems that you are putting the ball where you want too, whether it's between the 2nd and SS or over there heads and that's what we need to do. Also, BBall123 did a great job at firs,t not to take anything away from Iron Chef, making a great play on one of my throws. END RANT
  17. Is anyone else on fields at that time. If not I could get there a little early and we could practice some hitting.
  18. As far as the rover siutation goes, I have no problem if we use it or not but I would think it to be a mistake if we didn't use every opportunity to our advantage. Maybe if we started with a pretty good shift to the left and after one time through the lineup if we are getting beat by line drives and dunks then switched to a rover that might work best.
  19. I have no problem switching me and Robin19 in the batting order. He is hitting it solid and would be an assett in the 3 hole.
  20. Looking at the hit chart maybe a rover with speed would work well this game and make a big shift with not much of a right fielder, that is until they beat us one time with it.
  21. I got my tiger stripes banana-hammock ready.
  22. Another thank you, the food was great and greatly appreciated.
  23. 2 here I believe and looking forward to it. Thanks!
  24. And I'll say this, I have faith in the first 8 of the Brewer's lineup.
  25. That stinks for you guys, sorry to hear that.
