  1. UW-Green Bay women, ranked 10th in the nation, get a 7 seed. Their opponent if they win is the 2 seed Kentucky, ranked 11th in the polls.
  2. I wouldn't say one early death makes the overall plot arc not slow relative to the comics. Sophia as well. How would you compare them? Issues vs. Episodes? Just because one has more character development doesn't mean it is going at a slow pace. This isn't a zombie show, it's a show with zombies.
  3. When the show first started I actually thought that would be the ending of Season 1. Sort of shows how slow the TV series is vs the comics. I wouldn't say that, just look at Dale. They are still at the farm but they are also doing other things and other storylines as well.
  4. In the "Talking Dead" show following, they stated that the Zombies fingers were basically sharp bone. Also, the episode was weak but I think the whole point was for us to hate Dale. I did prior already.
  5. I wouldn't say that at all. The first season was better and that was the one that Darabont did. The main problem was the budget was cut in half and the episodes doubled, meaning less money and less zombies. However, with news that the Governor has been cast for next season, I have high hopes. I thought that first season started high and went down very quickly with the Vatos episode being the worst. I have liked this season a lot better.
  6. It's weird but when they got rid of Daranbot that is when the show starting getting better it seems.
  7. With Braun more than likely go for 50 resulting in a slow start, maybe the Brewers will trade Grienke and Marcum allowing for the Pirates to overtake them for third. I hope not obviously.
  8. Maybe they are using human guinea pigs to determine if his story has any validity?
  9. Scared me a little when a thread like this gets bumped.
  10. Position Player of the Year: Weeks-.810 OPS 29 HRs 91 RBIs Position Bust of the Year: Lucroy-.690 OPS 4 HRs 43 RBIs Pitcher of the Year: Greinke-17-7 3.21 ERA Pitcher Bust of the Year: Wolf-6-10 4.91 ERA Most Improved: Gamel .770 OPS 22 HRs 81 RBIs Place: 4th in the central Record: 77-85
  11. Deep down I still enjoy baseball more than winning. With that in mind what excites me about this upcoming season is not the prospects of playoffs or even the World Series, it's the thought of a guy like Gamel, a player that I have been watching/following for years, finally getting his chance. I don't know what he will do, but I, along with many others it seems, hope that he gets a fair shake from the management, fellow players, and the fans before any rush to judgement is made.
  12. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
  13. I believe it to be the lung cancer that killed him as I think no matter what happened this past year, the end was coming because of this nasty disease. Also, I would fall short of calling him a great man. You lose that title of "great" when you let the actions of others around you go on the way he did. Greatness is bestowed upon those who take the adversity that faces them and does something about it. With that said, he also did a lot of great things for others so it's a shame to see his legacy go down the way it did. I do feel bad for everyone involved though, it sucks, the situation as a whole for the kid most importantly, others who who were unwilling/too scared to help for whatever reason, and the families hurt or torn apart because of this, all because one sick and disgusting man.
  14. Braun. The city could turn on him at some point as crazy as it sounds.

  16. If this was a show about either action or zombies, I would agree. They need time to develop characters and they will take a lot of it. Some will say, and I will agree in some instances, that this show focuses on the wrong characters at times however.
  17. Gonna miss Casey, he was always a decent guy and a decent bat for most of his career here. Also, I think the organization will miss his wife and child who seemed to be always be around.
  18. Tell me it's pot and I can sleep well tonight and still root for Braun the same.
  19. So each month we have to do a Saint to review at our school. I thought it would be fun to do an "Office" type parody. The third graders didn't get it too much but it was fun making it. I will keep it up for a little bit if you want to watch it, you may enjoy a couple references to The Office in it.
  20. If I was a high schooler I would be going to the midnight showing. Just think of that ratio of guys to girls. You have to like those odds.
  21. I am still looking to buy them all besides Wolf. I am hoping to get them for around $10 a piece.
  22. If I was in MLB and I could hit HRs, I would love to watch them all while I trot just to see where they land.
