  1. Just finish half the first inning here on the East coast @ Yankee Stadium/Red Sox. Looking forward to both Brewers and Red Sox ball games !
  2. On a positive note...I'd love to see Rogers starting in less than 8 weeks !
  3. Just back from a whirlwind tour of Miller Park. First off I'd like to say that to date the area and people were some of the most friendly and helpful I've ever met. Every place we ate, drank and watched baseball was first rate. Needless to say we all hope to return. As far as the ballgame went it could not have been choreographed any better. Lets load the bases for discomfort and create a problem, strike out the side to overcome rather than give in,make a solid fielding play, dominate the next two innings, get your first hit, score the first run. Heck I couldn't have ordered all that from the catalog! The German food by the Hyatt was outstanding,Guiness at Mo's while waiting for the shuttle (never met a Guiness I didn't like) was a great set up for the game,MGD at the game and sitting 1st row behind the plate not bad for an out of towner (Mark you were squeezed several times),but you got more out of it than you gave up. Braun's place on the river, steaks hit the spot,Zach make the phone call you've got the number.
  4. Thinking about tickets for the 24th,depends on the weather and if we can cross to the mainland
  5. Nice to see another good inning today!
  6. I would wonder if concerning his innings currently that they might wet his feet in relief innings and wait till next season to start him fresh. Guess we'll need to wait for the "man behind the curtain" to make his decision.
  7. Hopefully after the "motion analysis" they won't try to fix him again!
  8. Not 100% sure but think that may have been the Brewer final option with Mark.
  9. I believe Mark is currently there as of last night.
  10. It would be great to see Mark called up and given a chance to experiance a major league mound! I figure over the last several years, working his butt off in rehab, putting up with pitch counts, particular pitches allowed per game and management alluding to possibilities he might get a chance. After all if you're going to reward staff after screwing up one might think that you could take care of those that have done all that was asked all along. Just a thought. And if not if we were to take a group fan photo......I'd expect 95% bald fans.
  11. Just nice to see a glimpse of what he had been required to do finally show up in print. Let the kid go to the mound fully loaded for bear every night.
  12. It would be nice to see a multiple start scenario and perhaps continue along. Unless he is simply filling a hole in Nashville one would almost assume that he would continue up and onwards!
  13. Great to see Mark have a 3 up and down inning hopefully more of the same to come! Two innings 7 batters,1 single, 6 outs, Great introduction !
  14. Odd that the hit batters were involved in a confrontation prior to the break and just after the first a sealed deal for the Manatees!
  15. Nothing meant really Mass but half expected another argument when I simply stated that things were going well and ahead of schedule for Mark. If things continue as they have been then he's close being within another 4 weeks or so of at least medically released to pick up a ball and do some sort of throwing.I'm sure he's looking forward to picking up a ball or at least a golf club for a variety in his day! Obviously even at that point I'm certain the Brewers will keep him reined in for a while.
  16. Things have been soooo quiet I can't believe Mark's rehab is untouchable.
  17. Hopefully a couple weeks ago when he was in Texas and going to be cleared to begin throwing in 6 1/2 weeks the staff might err on the side of caution and allow things to run their course. Good to see though the healing ahead of schedule.
  18. First of all I'm not a fan of the term "improper mechanics", bad mechanics, great mechanics, [bad] mechanics.....it's far too argumentative. I also honestly don't remember where anyone around or from his family said or thought great mechanics. I do think though that there must have been something in that kid the Brewers saw that led them to take him when they did as opposed to just signing a kid for $500.00 for a chance at minor leagues. If we were to go way back to rookie ball and his first fresh starts coming from Maine I'd say he started out doing what he was paid to do (stat wise) and probably would have continued down that road certainly at that time. Now if you can take the $500.00 guy and change something to make him more competetive then give him the information and hope it works for him! My hope would be that the body and muscles have a memory that allow a person to come back into that individuals comfort zone as he completes a rehab. As far as the Brewers "nursing" him back I think it's more up to Mark nursing Mark back. He's the one that ultimately will do everything he needs to get back to 100% or not. I would suspect that he would do everything in his power to get to the point he would finally get handed a slot in the rotation.
  19. I would almost guess his mechanics will be a lot closer to the original way he showed up and got him here. Other than moving around on the rubber and changing perhaps that position. "Proper mechanics" or versions of that don't always fit everybody and apparently did not in this case.
  20. I don't think there is any question that no injury is intentional. It's only very unfortunate that it perhaps could have been correctly diagnosed last summer and we all would have been having this conversation at that time. Then all we would be concerned about right now is him coming off rehab for this spring. It really makes no sense to be dotting i's and crossing t's at this point. A lesson learned by both parties( hopefully in time)! If it was a marriage I don't think anyone has much luck changing anybody...you go with what got him there and for him to not let anybody put you thru this again.(my personal opinion)
  21. One simply needs to be careful to parrot the print! After all the readers aren't trying to sell papers, reporters are! Pictures....the procedure, what do you think?
  22. The pictures were cool though!
  23. Couldn't seem to find the article that stated "chronic bursitis" but then I'm not a medical student and was not there. I am going to go out on a limb though and stick with my earlier comments. I do not believe the labrum was the issue and still have heard nothing from here Down East that would allude to a complication or surprise. It would be nice though to here Mark's position on this adventure from start to finish. Perhaps we will.
  24. It's my understanding that Mark is working out. I'm not sure that it's any more than trying to stretch and loosen up. The labrum was not the issue although there apparently was a tightening and reattachment of ligaments. I do believe the only good information came out of Texas after the surgery and all news to this point is positive with no reason to suspect that he won't recover 100%.
  25. Nice to know Mark was back working out already in Arizona
