  1. If someone has played the following games...... SS-138 games(7 errors) 2B-308 games (13 errors) 3B-212 games (16 errors) They are obviously going to have more innings at the 2 positions they've had more games at. All I'm saying is that it's not as though he has never played SS in his career as you implied by saying... "Counsell is a 2B/3B."
  2. << ****I sure did!!! The first number was number of games. The 2nd number was the number of errors. My point was that he has played a lot at all 3 positions with varying success. I was just stating that he is not "just a 2B/3B". I am well aware that Hall's OBP is .294 and Counsell's is .330. I have no problem playing Hall, but I guess having Counsell in there doesn't get me as upset as somepeople. The only reason i replied was in response to Scoop asking if "everyone was as pissed at Ned Yost as he is". And my simple answer was No. I'm not at all. The team is .500. Scoring lots of runs. And every day someone bashes Yost for his lineup. If the lineup starts to scuffle then youc an complain but right now Counsell and Helms are both in there and they are scoring lots of runs.
  3. Counsell's career splits at the 3 positions. SS-138 (7 errors) 2B-308 (13 errors) 3B-212 (16 errors) I would hardly say he's "a 2B/3B". He also has often struggled with the throw from 3B to 1B. So basically you move Counsell to 3B (where he struggles), insert Hall at SS (where his defense is below average at best)...just to get Hall's .294 OBP in the lineup??? No thanks. I'll stick to Counsell at SS where he's been outstanding this year. Hall can keep coming off the bench as far as I'm concerned. If you cant draw ANY WALKS AT ALL! then you better be hitting .340 to make up for it. He's not.
  4. ***Am I the only one getting really p*ss*d at Ned Yost for this crap? << Hall does not play 3B. With Spivey hurt and Ginter playing 2B, Helms is really the only option at 3B. It basically comes down to Counsell or Hall. I really think that Yost likes the patience and willingess to work the count and draw walks from Counsell. It's wierd because every time I look at his average I wonder why he plays, but then every time I'm watching a game he always seems to be on base. As evidenced by Hall's atrocious .290 OBP. I think the way Jenkins and Overbay have been hot lately Yost feels compelled to have somoene in the 2 hole who will get on base. Not someone who can jack a solo homer.
  5. Danny Kolb is up in the bullpen. That means that I should learn not to read the WSJ when looking for Brewers information. However, Jim Powell is usually pretty reliable and he said Kolb wouldnt be available too. Anyways, I stand corrected.
  6. Those runs aren't charged to Kinney His line reads: 2.2 IP, 4 K's, 1 BB, 1 H, 0 ER
  7. Just to clarify, Kolb is unavailable until Tuesday at the earliest according to the WSJ and Jim Powell. Brooks is unavailable due to a heavy workload lately. Hernandez obviously started the game Santos pitches tomorrow. That leaves Kinney, Burba, Bennett, and Ford as the options there. I dont care what anyone says...the closer doesn't pitch in the 5th inning, nor should he---ever!! Vizcaiano is that closer today.
  8. ***Seriously, this is exactly why I hate the closer role. If it were my call, Kolb (if he were available) or Vizcaino would be out there right now. <<<
  9. Rydogg I just posted a seperate thread about Ginter. He has to play every day. I was wrong. He belongs on the field. Also, with the way Overbay has heated up and Spivey set to return, Wes Helms has to be moved to the bench. For good.
  10. How did Counsell's RBI double make you feel about the lineup card?? I just really wish people would get off Ned's back. The guy knows what he is doing.
  11. ****One game over, long after I thought we said goodbye to .500 for the season. Hey, I'm glad to be able to say I was wrong. How long can it last though? <<
  12. I would hardly call Obermueller scuffling. His last start he allowed zero earned runs in 6 innings against the Giants. (actually he might have left a guy or two on base that scored after he came out---I dont feel like looking it up). But it cant be easy to come into a game in the 2nd inning when you didnt' plan on pitching that day. (like he did when Capuano got hurt). I would have rather seen Yost use Hernandez that day and keep Obermueller on his regular schedule. But to say he is scuffling because of that appearnace seems harsh.
  13. SEND HIM ON THE NEXT PLANE OR BUS TO INDY!!!!!
  14. You are wrong..... In today's lineup Ginter is batting 5th and Helms 6th. Ginter is playing 3rd and Helms 1st. You have it the other way in your lineup.
  15. Take a look at my thread I started on Sheets down below.
