They ALMOST scored a run, but Will Lewis was thrown out at the plate by the CF. That was the point I stopped listening. 4 runs, 14 hits in almost 4 whole games. Yuck. The Hagerstown starting pitchers have not allowed a single run to score this year according to the play-by-play guys.

Update: Hagerstown 5 West Virginia 0, through 5 innings I've been listening to the Power game, but I don't know how much more I can take. The lone W.V. hit came on an infield single by Dallas Bates, that actually resulted in an out, as Mannon (who walked) was tagged out at 3B. The Suns sent 9 batters to the plate in the bottom of the 4th. Brian Montalbo came in w/ 2 outs in the inning, his first 6 pitches were balls and he ended up walking in a run. Escobar had a 2-out error that opened up the door for Hagerstown. Power have gone down in order in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th innings, and now you can add the 5th to that list. Update (5th inning): Ambiorix Concepcion and Mike Carp hit back-to-back doubles to increase the Suns' lead to 5-0. Carp also hit a solo HR back in the 2nd inning.

Brevard County's game was postponed due to rain and will be made up in a doubleheader on June 1st. Got that from their renovated website...it's about time.

Is anybody else having difficulty with hearing the broadcast??? I'm just wondering if it's because of the wind or if it's my computer. NEVER MIND!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Should've updated my screen before asking...

He dropped, what sounded like, an easy popup behind 2nd base. Unfortunately, the bases were loaded with 2 outs, so all 3 runs came in to score.

    Daron wants an email guys....

Rotoworld reports that the Brewers have signed Julio Mosquera to a minor-league deal and have invited him to ST. He turns 33 on January 29th. Looks like we're really loading up on these minor league catchers, which may not be a bad idea...

Updates: Final: Chattanooga (Reds) 6, Huntsville 2 Stars finish off the season getting just 6 hits. Weeks and Prince each had 2 hits. Weeks with 2 doubles, Prince with both RBIs. Ryan Costello got the loss. Final: Peoria (Cardinals) 7, Beloit 6, 11 innings Vinny Rottino, pitching prospect??? He sat Peoria down 1-2-3 in the top of the 9th and even struck out a batter. Terry Trofholz was stranded at 3rd base in the bottom of the 9th and Wandel Campana was stranded at 3rd base in the bottom of the 10th.

I'm Alex Sanchez gritty. Where will that get me????

The Texas Tech people were pretty positive he was coming back, so I'm sure this will come to them as a shock. Is that why he fell to the 19th round? I thought for sure he'd go much higher. This signing makes me http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif !!!

Beloit just tied it in the top of the 9th w/ a solo HR by Rottino. The game is 2-2. Heether has also hit a solo HR in the game (his 16th). And the Snappers lose it in the bottom of the 9th. The winning run was scored on an RBI single. Beresford gets the loss. The 6-game win streak is over.... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

It'll be interesting to see his July totals. So far this month, Enrique is hitting .277 w/ a .815 OPS. He's hit 5 HRs and driven in 17. He has 20 strikeouts compared to 6 walks. That 2 HR, 7 RBI game really padded his stats.

Indy loses Game 1. Final score was 5-10. This is the wrong time to have back-to-back doubleheaders!!
  15. DKM4Boston
We wouldn't want to do that to Helena!!!! He can stay at Indy...they can't win anyways. Seriously though, I'll be very upset if they don't send somebody to Helena soon....first De La Cruz and now Bates. C'mon now!! Grand Slam for Enrique Cruz @ High Desert as I type this...2 HRS for Cruz today!!!
  16. DKM4Boston
Helena gave up 9 runs in the bottom of the 8th to lose 13-15. Dallas Bates (?!?!?!?!?!?!?) gets the loss, giving up 5 unearned runs. Why are Helena's position players pitching so much?? How about giving them another pitcher or two!!
  17. DKM4Boston
This has been a very fun game to listen to. The Mavs just put up a 9 spot in the 7th inning to take a 12-1 lead. They sent 14 batters to the plate and recorded 10 hits, including 8 hits in a row in the inning.
  18. DKM4Boston
They won BOTH games of their double header. Grant Richardson went 6-9 between the two games. In Game 2, 2nd baseman Carlos De La Cruz picked up the win..Is Helena short on arms or can De La Cruz actually pitch???? This is the 2nd time in the last couple of days where I saw that he pitched.
  19. DKM4Boston
Any idea where Lou Palmisano has been these past 3 games? I noticed he missed the doubleheader yesterday and also today's game.... Beloit lost by the way. 9-11 was the score. Rottino doubled, homered, and drove in 5 runs. Beloit's pitching was not good. Durost got the L.
  20. DKM4Boston
Pretty good game in Rancho. Cruz tied it up w/ a solo shot, as mentioned before. Homero Rivera gave up a solo shot in the bottom of the 9th to send it into extra innings. The Mavs have added on 3 runs in the top of the 10th so far..including a run double by Bibbs. Bibbs was just caught stealing to end the inning. 7-4 Mavs...bottom 10. Sorry about this post...looks like Schmidty already posted the update.

The High Desert play-by-play man says that Parra just never looked very comfortable out there tonight, but he did stress that it didn't appear to be anything physical, which was what i was worried about. I believe he said that all 10 runs were unearned...I may not have heard him correctly, but that's what i thought he said...I guess we'll have to wait and see the box score.
