  1. Anyone a bit worried about the Mets/Phillies? The Cubs don't seem to be helping their rivals make the playoffs at all. The Mets and Phillies each have like 10 games left against the braves and nationals, too....
  2. Phillies miss Sabathia, which kind of blows. I think we should start McClung tomorrow, even though he pitched tonight. It would be much nicer having Sabathia going against the Mets and Phillies.
  3. Honestly, at this point I think we should be rooting for the Cubs to lay the brooms down. The Cubs are a very talented team, more talented than us, and barring a TERRIBLE collapse, they have already won the division. We haven't been to the playoffs in 25 years; play it safe and root for the WC threats to lose.
  4. Anyone know anything about what teams the Cardinals have left to play? For some reason, I can't mlb.com up with the Safari browse.r
  5. The Cardinals are the frailest little crybaby kids on the playground, yeesh. Bawwwwwwwww.
  6. If Weeks didn't inexplicably get walked so much, he wouldn't even be in the majors. Just awful baseball IQ and can't hit.
  7. Knowing how the forces of the universe like to treat us Brewers fans, we'll have to take one of our last series against the Cubs to lock the WC, and we'll get swept.
  8. Considering the teams we have coming up, it would have been very very nice to win this game, go in with some momentum, and build on a 5 1/2 game lead. Would have...
  9. Lame lame lame. Hopefully we can steal one away like we did last series now. What an upsetting game. Definitely not a stomach punch game though, considering what we've dealt with so far, and considering we got out of quite a few jams.
  10. Even if we did lose, on the bright side we did go like 9-3 against the Cards, and we did technically steal all those games from them before. Still, very frustrating... three straight two baggers...
  11. There is not a single member of our bullpen that I am able to put a significant amount of confidence in. What a joooooke. I can't say I didn't feel this coming.
  12. Yeah, his girlfriend is Andreena Clark. She's on facebook. Looks pretty dec.
  13. The fact is, no. It really wouldn't work. Even if it did, he'd have to be a pretty sick man to take money from a bunch of probably-debt-ridden admirers who will spend their lives making far less than he does in a single year. Furthermore, with how great he is doing in Milwaukee, he will easily be the #1 FA this off-season and probably command more than Santana did, something the Brewers can't (and shouldn't) even think about considering he'd chew up about 1/4 of our payroll at the same time that we have to start shelling out cash to our young talent. Our ONLY chance to get him is if he has a kind, highly atypical athlete heart that decides it wants to make a bunch of fans very, very, very happy. Alas, it isn't happening. We all knew Sabathia was a rental when we got him, and it's not going to change. You'd think after 15 or so million a year, the numbers just start to blur and athletes start to think about other people. Agents, however, simply laugh at your adorable naivety.
  14. Blah. What a JOKE. This team is ridiculous. Guys in scoring position with 1 out in both innings and NOTHING.
  15. This ump is really calling the low stuff. That was definitely under the knees.
  16. Honestly, if we don't win it here, we deserve to lose. Way, way too many chances.
  17. At least these extra innings are giving our bullpen some time.
  18. Is it just me, or does it seem like Yost has been using Gagne and Mota BY FAR more than anyone else? It seems like I always see them coming out.
  19. Not to mention most of these people are cute girls decked out in Brewers gear. It's never bad to have them around.
  20. Every "street clothes" picture I see of Braun has him wearing designer shoes, jeans, and an Affliction t-shirt, a staple of the Bro wardrobe. Fielder doesn't have a personality? He's always laughing his ass off and jumping up and down and smiling. I think Braun is the bomb, no doubt, but he definitely isn't as big as Fielder, even if he has been more productive.
