  1. i ordered, but i know they will be useless. and it was kind of strange how with my 20-pack i was put in the top row of the terrace section, yet with my 9-pack i was just able to buy 1st row of the club level for both series. guess the terrace seats get sold in the 1% chance that these games get played.
  2. how about swinging the bat there, fatty?
  3. serenity now... serenity now... ah screw it, as i've said before this team is done. getting rid of ned means we just have one less excuse when it happens this year.
  4. Hey Cameron, didn't you hear, we got a new manager - you are supposed to stop sucking for once. Ugh.
  5. I can think of a bunch of guys who won't be playing tonight... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. Ned wasn't the reason for the collapse, but his poor managing during the first 5 months put us in a position where 2 weeks of bad play will end up costing us the season. Still a desperate move done mostly for PR if you ask me.
  7. the thought of the cubs celebrating zambrano's possible no-hitter in the brewers home clubhouse all night while the brewers have just been swept out of the playoffs is kind of fitting. but i'm sure none of the brewers will be offended by such a thing. they are too loose for that. maybe the cubs can leave some champagne for them just to rub it in.
  8. looks like the cubs are using the brewers dugout/clubhouse tonight. maybe if zambrano gets the no-no they'll trash our locker room and it'll fire up the brewers when they hear about it. nah, who am i kidding, lol.
  9. some random rants: - just like last year, the local media will give the team a complete pass because of the packers hot start. in 2 weeks it'll be 5 minutes of packer highlights and "oh yeah, the brewers ended the season, but at least they finished above .500 again..." - that day before the cubs series when we were tied for first will be the latest in the season we're in first for many, many years to come. and i pretty much predicted the fact back then. - i don't care who leaves and who comes back next year. having these guys wasn't enough to win anything this year, so it doesn't really bother me anymore. - us season ticketholders are amassing a nice collection of phantom playoff tickets to show to our grandchildren years from now as a symbol of the last time the team was decent. - trying to figure out what to blow my playoff ticket money on when i get my refund, despite my ticket rep's clueless questioning of why i'm not renewing my tickets for the first time in a long time. - i hope zambrano gets the no-hitter tonight and they use our park to celebrate and trash the locker room. maybe that would fire up the brewers. nah, that's not happening.
  10. c'mon, we need our token 2nd run so yost can say that the guys were battling right up until the end. ugh.
  11. I'm also relaxed knowing they won't make the playoffs, and just like last year we have a nice start by the Packers to take the media attention away from the Brewers collapse, only to likely see them also disappoint us Brewers-style late in the year.
  12. Exactly. Any $ the Brewers receive is probably just enough to cover their expenses (employees, utilities, etc...). I doubt anyone in Milwaukee is making much if any money from this.
  13. Brewers.com release: http://brewers.mlb.com/ne...pr_mil&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil Field and Loge levels only, tickets at Marquee game pricing
  14. alright, there's our customary 2 runs of offense. time to shut it down boys.
  15. if we don't make the playoffs, i'm getting a refund and won't be renewing my tickets for next year. i'll still go to games, but not as many and will probably look for below-face value deals.
  16. have any of the powers that be looked into getting a self-hosted solution instead of pretty much being extorted by yuku. export the database, use a software package like vB or phpbb and host it somewhere else for much, much less, while having total control.
  17. I wonder how many Cubs fans are entering hoping to get tickets to a possible Brewers-Cubs NLCS. Would have been nice to limit it to WI addresses. but that probably wouldn't have been allowed.
  18. was at the game tonight and it continues to amaze me in this quick-to-boo-anyone town that prince continues to get a pass when he very rarely produces when it matters. it's almost like everyone just expects him to kill the rally and just is content to sit there and accept it. loved seeing gagne get the 1-2-3 inning after being booed loudly the moment he left the bullpen door. wouldn't have faulted him if he had flipped the crowd off while walking back the dugout.
  19. heard from a source recently that the carry-in policy will be changed next year and it's looking like no more bottles/liquids and quite possibly no carry-in food either. they'll spin it as a way to get people in the park faster when there are large crowds (no having to check coolers or as many bags), but i think we know the real rea$on.
  20. The last thing I heard about it from my rep: "With the 9 pack you will receive an internet link to purchase 1 NLDS and 1 NLCS game. This should be unveiled mid-September."
  21. It actually looks like the ticket office is staying there, just that (at least the inside walls) it'll be painted orange instead of the green/beige it is now. It looks like the deck is above the current ticket office.
