  1. Just want to remind everyone that today is the last day to buy Bob Uecker's favorite mustard, Silver Spring Beer and Brat Mustard, at a buy one, get one free price at your local Pick N' Save!
  2. just bought six bottles of Bob Uecker's favorite mustard, Silver Spring Beer and Brat Mustard for the price of three bottles! They had a nice display there as well. For that, Pick N' Save gets an A+ in my book! Hoooooooo!
  3. I see that Pick N' Save is running a buy 1, get 1 sale on Silver Spring Beer and Brat Mustard until this Wednesday, August 26th. A great deal for Bob's favorite mustard!
  4. In no particular order: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper Chris Jericho Bobby "The Brain" Heenan Ric Flair "Mr. Perfect" Curt Henning "Ravishing" Rick Rude "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair Sheik Adnan El Kassey The Iron Shiek Edge Frankie "The Thumper" DeFalco "The SkullKrusher" Rasche Brown Corporal Robinson
  5. Then what is there purpose then?
  6. I am sick of people saying that Castro is just a scapecoat in all of this! Granted, he is not the sole reason why we stink this year, but again, if he was any good to begin with, he wouldn't have been stuck as a bullpen coach for 17 years. I did like how Doug Melvin just said on the TV broadcast that when the team was in LA, him and Billy caught a 10:30 showing of The Hangover. I liked even more that he fired him roughly a week later!
  7. Rodney Dangerfield was excellcent in his role as Thorton Melon! UW-Madison was the main college where the movie was filmed.
  8. I don't understand all of the love and defense for Bill Castro here! If he was such a great coach, why was he stuck as a bullpen coach for 17 years? Name someone who has been a bullpen coach for seventeen straight years? If he was decent, the Brewers would have promoted him or a different franchise would have given him a shot. So what if he is a nice guy. My record is clean, I'm a good person, so I want Macha's job after he gets the axe. He should have never got the job in the first place. I'm happy he's gone.
  9. I am happy that many here are finally giving Macha the heat he deserves. He needs to be shown the door as soon as possible.
  10. I might throw some $$$ down on Forrest getting three to one, even though he probably won't win. I also like BJ -220 and Amir -130.
  11. I remember during the Brewer/National game on Thursday afternoon, July 30th, where a throw home clearly beat Mike Cameron to home plate, but the National catcher ( Nieves) made a poor attempt at a tag, Cameron slid underneath it, and was ruled safe by the home plate umpire. So it can happen where a runner can be ruled safe even when the throw clearly beats him but the umpire can't be lazy, must move himself into proper position, and must care about making the correct call.
  12. His Boston contract called for him to make an additional $35,000 every DAY he is on the MLB roster. Regardless that he pitched in Yankee Stadium his last start, I watched him pitch (I believe it was his start before that) against Baltimore in Baltimore and I was truly surprised how bad he was.
  13. Does he still have the swine flu? Perhaps he could give it to Suppan, Burns, and/or Kendall. Give it to Macha and Castro as well.
  14. I would go just to see Eric Church. http://www.ericchurch.com
  15. You know times are tough when Mike Burns beats you out for a roster spot.
  16. JimH5, Do you have authorization for the avatar you use...... . .are you in danger of using someone else's work without paying for it???
  17. OK....fill me in on a site. But, Eileen, did you learn anything from Dave Tianen? He just gave his opinion on concerts if I got this guy correct Yahoo.com, ew.com, pollstar.com, usatoday.com, variety.com, billboard.com to name a few. There have been many days where I saw some entertainment news in the USA Today and Tim Cuprisin would have it in his article the next day. Pretty easy money if you ask me. I was honest when I stated that I was jealous of his job. Plus you can Google or Wikipedia anything you need to find out about a certain show, actor, actress, rating, etc. If you read my post, I never said I learned anything from Dave Tianen. You are implying things here. I said that I thought his job was one of the coolest in Milwaukee and an easy one. I did always like to read his reviews of concerts that I went to and compare what he thought of it to what I thought of it. I also would like to read his reviews of concerts that I didn't go to that I was interested in. I was always jealous of his job too.
  18. Wow, I just read that Dave Tianen took the buyout as well! I always thought of his job as one of the coolest in Milwaukee, not to mention pretty easy. http://milwaukee.bizjournals.com/milwaukee/stories/2009/07/27/daily29.html
  19. It just seemed to me that he always just copied articles that you can find on any major site from the day before. I never learned anything new from him at all. I always was admittedly jealous of his job. It seemed like one of the easiest in the world.
  20. Macha should have never let Suppan in to give up the second granny and he should have never started Villy. I hold him the most responsible out of anyone for why we lost the first two games at home against the team with the worst record in Major League Baseball. Backupcatchers states my overall case very well.
  21. Bill Hall WAS an important part of our future, that is why he was the first guy to sign a multi-year contract in our current bunch. He has obviously regressed since two years ago. It could be because of the same old coaching staff. I did concede in my last post that it is most likely that he sucks though. I am totally sticking to my guns on the other five players that I listed.
  22. 1. I don't think Corey Hart having a .259 batting average, 11 HR, 39 RBI, and only 7 steals is hardly playing "well within reasonable expectations", especially coming after an All Star season and playing full time in the league for the prior two years. 2. Bill Hall was a key piece of our team two years ago. Remember, Bill Hall was the first player to receive a long term contract, even before Braun and Prince. Bill Hall has been regressing ever since, under mostly the same coaches. It could be because he sucks though. In fact, it probably is. 3. Dave Bush has been in 14 games and has started in 13 of them. Typically you are satisfied if a pitcher can give you 30 starts a year. Therefore, what we have here is legitimately half of a season, hardly a "few starts". 4. Hardy has had a down year. He has shown regression this year, just like the other five players I listed. Too many players are regressing under this staff. 5. Marry Parra. Having a record of 4-8, a 6.42 ERA, and being sent down to the minors is hardly "par for the course with young/growing SP." If that is par for the course, I would golf on that course every day and be Tiger Woods. 6. I did not create this thread to be a "vent thread". I created it to state why I think Macha has to shoulder the majority of the blame for this year and try to get an understanding why he has mostly been given a free pass by many fans while last year it was basically all of the manager's fault.
