  1. Did you just notice that now? He may be the slowest "little guy" in the league. Prince would easily stay with him in a race.
  2. JJ had a horrible April, but he batted .313 with an .888 OPS in May. I wouldn't call that non-existent. Point taken, but how many big hits has he gotten, even during that stretch? I am not trying to bag on the guy but even with that average, alot of the hits were at times when the game was not in the balance shall we say.
  3. See that is just the perception however. The stats were posted when we faced Swarczak in minnesota. We are actually over 500 and do rather well against guys making their first start.
  4. Even mike can make a mistake. Sorta the way things have been going for Manny. Bloop and a misplay and the braves are on the board.
  5. With all the heat guys Hall and Kendall get, it shows how well liked Hardy is that there is almost never any mention of his season long struggles. Except for a couple brief stretches he has been non existent.
  6. I have previously explained why I don't like sac bunting. I have also provided links to previous discussions of sac bunting. You like it and I think it is wrong. The only reason to sac bunt is if it is to try for a hit or late in a close game. That situation was neither. When the defense knows it is coming, it is just giving up one of your 27 precious outs. That play by Braun is a good example of why triples as a stat are a joke. I dont know what was talked about in the last conversation but I am pretty sure this is a totally different situation. A bad hitting pitcher is not going to hit with a guy on first. That would just be really dumb to do. He would probably not move the runner and a double play is a possibility. I think I will take the man at 2nd with one out every time.
  7. Hi I'm new here and have enjoyed the site for a long time. No idea what is being questioned in regards to the Soup bunt.
